Great app, it…
This app gets a lot right—clean interface, useful features, and a solid overall experience. But the inability to fully disable conversation threading is a dealbreaker for me. For users who prefer a flat inbox, threads make it difficult to scan emails and often require excessive scrolling just to reply. If there were a true option to turn off conversation view, this would be a home run.
Not reliable
I found that the app keeps crashing, although it has great functionality. It seems that it will have problems sending messages.
I BEG your pardon?
I've been thinking of changing my email app just for the sake of changing things up. Came across Boomerang in an email from Apple recommending a variety of apps, checked it out and decided to try it. First thing I see when I open it? "Start your free trial..." Yeah, I don't think so. Uninstalled immediately and I'm back looking for a free email app that's ACTUALLY free.
Very necessary
Extremely useful. So much time saved and tasks not missed. Totally worth it.

$20/ mo for? When I can get the same features in similar free apps. Too bad too.
Happy user
I have been using boomerang for a while now and just came back to read reviews and research other email apps and Im astonished at all of the negative reviews. I use the outlook plug in for follow ups, planning meetings and polling for meetings along with other features and it works well without EVER any issues. Im very happy to pay to use software to help support the developers and think its ridiculous to think that their hard work should be free. This solution works! happy to give a great review and pay for their hard work. Thank you boomerang!
Mobile app is bad, general product is great
Being able to bring back (“boomerang”) emails after set periods of times under set circumstances is very powerful. Along with the scheduling and inbox pause features, I couldn’t imagine work life without it. But the app - it hasn’t been updated in a very long time. For years now, if you open an email, usually one with a longer thread, the text will all disappear after a few seconds. I try to rush to read them but end up going over to the Apple Mail app. Basically I will use this app to send emails via mobile and have them boomerang but to read email it is hit or miss. And that’s pretty frustrating.
Love the idea, but app doesn’t not work.
I love the idea of this program, and it works perfectly on my Mac in Outlook. But the IPad app just hangs. Same for the app on my iPhone. I hope you guys can get this fixed PDQ. I’ll give it 5 stars once you do for sure.

Terrible App
I’ll start by saying the desktop version is great and I have no issue with it. The app on the other hand is terrible. Very buggy, doesn’t update and just generally hard to use. I wrote into customer support and they told me they were aware of the bugs but there was nothing they could do.

I want to like this app …
But the cost is prohibitive. $170/ year is too much for this service. I understand you need to make a living and there’s a cost associated with keeping this app updated and/ or maintained. However, it’s priced a bit too high. If it’s $70 year, I’ll reconsider. Not at this price. 😞
I used to love this app
I loved this email app so much but then it was no longer free. Why don’t you offer a free version for people that love it that don’t need all the added extras? A basic email option, I was there from the beginning and besides offering a discount, no free option 😥. Unfortunately had to delete it.
Can’t Live Without It
I’ve been using boomerang with Gmail for years. Honestly I don’t think I could run my business without it, there’s no going back! Plus having this app, they provide some specific features directly from the desktop that I love - scheduled send, scheduled follow ups, and my real actual email signature (not sure how that’s not standard for every email app). Keep up the great work Boomerang team!
What are the Pro features?
Obviously this app has a “Pro” in app purchase (and it’s pretty expensive compared to other email apps on the App Store). But what does the “Pro” purchase include? What features do I get by purchasing “Pro”? Nowhere in the app description can I find what features are included with the in app purchase. I’m not going to continue using this app and adding more of my accounts to it as I know I’m going to get stuck one day missing out on features that I need. They don’t specify anywhere what features are included with a Pro purchase or what features in the App Store description are not included with the free version.
Great but make it fully iPad compatible...
I love everything about it but it’s a pain to use it on the iPad.
Mixed bag
There’s so much to like about this app. Features on how to be reminded in emails , pop conversations back to the top, etc. are all really great. The downside is that it’s glitchy. Issues where emails won’t send, emails don’t load, scrolling through longer threads is difficult. I want to love this app, but I can’t justify paying this cost to not have my emails send to recipients. I can’t pay this cost and Still need to jump into the gmail app every other day.
Buggy
Hitting the ‘hide’ button for the sidebar hides it... For a second and then it pops back unless you change from portrait to landscape. The radial option doesn't do anything - it just gives you the linear options list.
Needs an update
I loved this app but now I get api error notifications and it doesn’t want to work. They need to update and fix these bugs.
Deleting emails
Apple needs to remove this app because it’s a pay app. You shouldn’t have to pay to get your email in this day. Boomerang should be ashamed of themselves for this. If I could give this no stars I would. This use to be free and now it’s a paid app really just to get your email completely trash of an app.
This app is a pleasure to use
I really enjoyed using this app. It’s biggest shortcoming is the absence of an iPad app, which I look forward to seeing. Until then I have had to uninstall.
Needs help
Needs more options to customize it the way I would like. I rather not have my emails in conversations format drives me nuts and confusing. This is main reason I don’t use it. Ability to use other Apps / services within would be very helpful as well And now also cost to much, was free just a year ago now $20 a mont yeah right no way!!!
Nice ideas but poorly executed
I love the features this app offers, especially the ability to "boomerang" emails based on time or reply status. However, the app itself leaves much to be desired. It is slow and buggy, navigation is poor, emails don't display nearly as well as they do in Gmail and since the new IOS update I can't even open links in emails when I set Chrome as the default browser. Please fix these problems and modernise the app and this can be a great app.
Amazing - incremental productivity that means a lot
Boomerang makes me feel like everything about e-mail gets a little bit easier - all the little things that make it easy to move through an inbox quickly but still stay on top of all the actions - from reminders to easy calendar management and best of all searchable label to archive!
Why am I suddenly stuck on a pop-up telling me to pay?
Title says it all. I'm using the free plan, my ipad got rid of the app to save space, and I just redownloaded it. No purchases to restore, it just will not go away. The Android app and browser version work fine.
Great organise
Great organiser could do with a larger type option for the optically challenged. Otherwise a great app.
Images need to be better displayed
Text far too small when images are included in email. Zooming in results in a blank screen. Only way to read text is to compose a reply, then delete the draft.
Conversation view
I would love to be able to NOT see my emails in conversation view. Would be much easier to group accounts than to have them separate.
The best email app
And it's not even close, I have tried the 3-4 leading email clients out there and none of them even come close to what Boomerang offers. The swipe left feature is extremely satisfying 😀

Not even going to try the free 7 day or 14 day trial because that price point is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, if some people are willing to pay those types of subscription fees? Be my guest. But then again, some people think the world is flat. What people do or think doesn't make it a good idea. I'll just use outlook for all my email accounts. At least I can incorporate cloud storage and and entire office suite of apps into my email app.
Great Contender
This is a great app for managing emails as it works pretty fast, looks good and connects to many different email providers, but the best part I find is the unique swipe function With the function with a single swipe, you can perform any of 5 actions, on a single email or even multiple, and you fingers don’t need to perform any extra tasks, it’s all handle in 1 swipe. However I dropped a star as I feel the Magic Swipe should be customise able, eg removing actions you actually wouldn’t use personally, but still worth a download and forgetting the normal gmail app ;)
Good but not a replacement
Love the concept of boomerang and the Outlook desktop client is great but this is not. It crashes when I try to move items from spam. The html formatting is wrong so chains are unreadable. The delete is opposite of most other apps and cannot be changed. It’s a great start but why not just make an outlook plugin for iPhone. For $200 a year it’s hard to justify for just the outlook plugin. Need to fix the iphone app and have a different pricing model for outloook client.

No Fingerprint Login
Very good email client that is really efficient and effective alas no security for login. Works well otherwise, I still give 5 stars as have just included outlook, will b better when they have mail.com onboard.
Want to love it, can’t even like it
I LOVE Boomerang and all its functions in a desktop browser, I’m a big evangelist for their scheduling plugin too - but this app is barely functional. Retrieving emails (your ONE job!) is a pain and doesn’t work consistently, emails get weirdly truncated, long threads get formatted such that only a couple of letters appear per line so you have to scroll a ridiculously long time to get through a message. I really hope this app is improved significantly.
Lovely look and feel- but...
I agree with other comments that this is just a little too early, however the interface is lovely to look at and use and the app itself simple but effective. Siri Integration is boasted but in reality does not quite cut it again with standard commands being misheard.... however, all the above taken into account , this is a very good app with a LOT of potential.

Please make iPad version
It’s quite frustrating to use on iPad as it is just the blown up iPhone platform. Could do so much more if they made something for iPad. Also, would like to be able to silence certain senders forever - skip inbox or something... this may already be possible but I can’t figure it out. Super awesome other features though :)
One of the best
Really innovative and easy to use, great experience all round
No support
No support for paid option. They do not respond to support emails. Also it appears their Facebook page is abandoned. I like the app. But this is unacceptable for a paid app.
Almost perfect
Already set as my default mail app - the easy slide way of quickly dealing with mail is brilliant. Only negatives - the arrival of new mail waits for the app to open instead of pushing and the unread count either doesn't show at all or is incorrect.
Was great for a while then …
Anyway you can fix the bug of not sending an email that was saved from draft? I keep getting an error saying the email wasn’t sent and then an hour later it sends three different emails.
OK mail app
I have tried multiple iOS mail apps, Mailbox, Inbox, Gmail, Spark, Canary and so forth. Boomerang looks sleek and behaves well but the voice command does not work for Exchange. If you live in gmail you’re in luck, however. It presents the result in a neat format, providing you with an overview of today’s agenda, unanswered and new emails. It’s currently free and in beta but according to the FAQ it will cost you money once it becomes general release. Whether you will be able to buy the app or this will be a tiered subscription service like the browser based solution is not clear. Personally, I will not pay for a subscription service. The Personal option is not worth $4.99 per month. Never mind the Pro version at $14.99. Madness! I’ll stick to Canary which looks better and offers lots of useful features, and only costs £4.99.

Great Email App
Really enjoying the new boomerang app. Have been using the desktop version to delay the sending of emails for a little while. Unfortunately I can’t use the app over gmail as my official signature won’t pull through. Attempted to add one in the app but doesn’t have the ability to do images and bold text correctly. Any way around this?
Only support 3 email providers
Shame that you only support 3 email providers, I’m uninstalling because I have AOL, GMX, SAPO and for me it’s essencial to use all of them. Others apps are way ahead of you, your app is nice, but not well enough to keep me here due to provide only 3 emails.
