Great app!
The 2018 450f doesn’t have the map switch button. But to send a map you have to send to slot 1 or 2. And to receive a map you have to select slot 1 or 2. It simply doesn’t work with the older bikes without the map switch button. Edit: I figured it out upon doing some research map 2 does nothing i just had to send whatever I wanted to map 1. I was confusing my self by overthinking it very sorry for the confusion
2026 WR450
I installed the GYTR Competition ECU to enable use of the app. I had to choose 2024/2025 model years to make it work for my 2026.
KMH TO MPH AND CELSIUS TO FERINHEIGHT
Does anyone know how to change the live data screen to read in MPH instead of KMH? Also shows water temp in only “C” can’t change it to Fahrenheit

My bike has this ECU locking but the app has it greyed out and it tells me this message. “Not available Please connect to a machine that supports ECU lock.” Um my 2025 yz250f has this feature but the app is telling me otherwise!!!

It’s a pretty cool easy to use app, connect fast and easy I juts with they added gear position and and rpm on the speed display
Really well done, very useful.
I do FAST MX, Technical MX, Supercross/Motocross, Hard Enduro/Enduro, Extreme Mudding, Sands and Dunes, and more. This app changes everything. FI/IG tuning is amazing for all this. Full maintenance log to keep track of Engine Oil, Oil Filter, and Pistons. The app tells you what to do with the Front and Rear Forks for straight big jumps all the way to Down Hill—many in between. I’m tearing my bike down for a rebuild and powder coating, so far haven’t used the app on the bike yet but I’ll update this review once I do. So far I have made many tuned for what I do and it was very easy to do, yet the mathematical knowledge of bikes you need, needs to be big—tuning is complex, but easy to use app. So far, 10/10, 5 stars from seeing and using the app.
This doesn’t even work
IF you can get this thing to connect, it doesn’t even record any of the data you need. Emphasis on if you can get it to connect. It literally does not work. It takes a miracle to get it connected ts is driving me fkn nuts.
Good app
Like a few have said just wish you could lock your bike with the app since it doesn’t have keys, then I wish that I could change the speed from km/h to mph but other than that a great tool to have and nice to see total ride time on bike and far exceeds other manufacturers

Misnomer
I have a 2025 WR450F, and there is no power tuning. Only item than can be changed is traction control. Could have added a button on the handle bar to toggle TC on/off. Pretty lame app with respect to the WR.

It worked great until The New iOS it’s been a few weeks I still can’t change my maps , this needs to be fixed ASAP
How do I change the settings???
I think the app is really cool, and a good idea. But I cannot figure out how to cha get the setting from Celsius to Fahrenheit, or KPH to MPH. If I could figure that out, I’d be happy!

Would love it if the gps actually worked and you could record all of it, including throttle/ rpm. It would be awesome if I could overlay this on top of my GoPro videos

When I get to the fi/ig tuning menu the screen just freezes I tried deleting it and redownloading it still does the same thing
IOS 14 issues
I’m having issues with IOS 14 as well. I can connect to the WiFi network but the app shows no data and won’t connect to the bike. Hope you can fix this soon!
UNDURE PASSWORD
Purchased a used 2019 Yz250f and the password to the WiFi box is missing. No way to my knowledge of recovering it without buying a new box I was told. Is it possible to still find it? It is not on the back of the box.

Just spent 10k on a yz250f and there isn’t an option for it in the app? Is it just that new to where it’s hasn’t been added yet or what? Spending that much on a bike Ide like to be able to have all the features it’s supposed to have and not be stuck with just the one map on the bike

I can connect to Wi-Fi on my phone and when selecting the bike the app doesn’t have a 2023 correspondent. Needs update I’m assuming or app just won’t work at all cus after connecting to Wi-Fi my bike doesn’t register.
WR 450 power tuner app
Total garbage, will not download maps and will not go above +2 on ignition when you load manually. I took it to the local Yamaha dealer and they couldn’t get it to work correctly, then they wouldn’t give me a refund. I will never buy another Yamaha👎,next bike will be a Husqvarna.

Works great for the most part, but when you try to download maps from Yamaha it crashes.

I think the app is really cool but every time I ride I connect my phone to the bike and leave my phone in the garage. When I’m done riding it’ll say like for example 5min but when I reconnect my bike next time I ride those 5min are at 0. Can anyone help with this

So the app is great and all but you need to have a way to add as many services as I want to put down what I’ve done with the bike ect. Only allowing 3 is crazy

The app is not working with iOS 14. It will not sync with the bike even though it is connected on Wi-Fi.

Connectivity Issues. Please Fix
iPhone iOS 14, 14.1, 14.2 are unable to connect to WIFI / app. The app says is was updated this past weekend to fix bugs. Still experiencing connectivity issues. App says to allow local network access (under phone privacy settings) however the app does not show up as an option. I deleted app / re downloaded. Rebooted iPhone. Still doesn’t connect. Please fix

Can’t download Yamaha tunes from the Internet
The app seems to work fine by itself but when I try and download maps from the Yamaha website and import them to the app my phone crashes every time. Very annoying
Issue with sending maps
All works on mine except sending/recieving maps. Ive spoken to Yamaha aust. And the SA boss as they cant work it out. Only gripe i have. I have to keep an older iphone in my gear bag just to change maps. I can get service hours etc etc on my main phone. Lookin forward to this glitch getting sorted, as are a few other aussies

I rely on this app nearly every time I ride. I have a very diverse riding style and the gytr power tuner app allows me to monitor my maintenance intervals and tune my bike to my liking every ride! I absolutely love it!
Update!!!
They need to be faster about the updates. Every time a new ios update happens the app quits working. Some of us ride a lot and need to know our service hours. Come on Yamaha, need to be better about this.
Needs accurate scale for RPM or digital option.
The slanted real-time read out is terrible for tuning an engine to factory specifications. In addition. The baseline marks go from 0,1000,2500 with no scaling marks in between set within a very narrow window of each other. Trying to reach a target of 1900-2100rpm is basically a guessing game. Do you set it at the high point of the slant or the low point,or do you just pick a spot in the middle... This is where the option of selecting a digital read out like the older plug in GYTR power tuner had. I hope someone from Yamaha gets this.we can all use an update!

Très pratique comme innovation , ca évite de payer un boîtier à 350 euro mais je pense que il manque la langue française pour l’application, je pense aussi que vous devriez mettre des map à disposition dans un manuel dans l’application et a revoir pour la connexion entre lapp au smartphone Sinon top idée ✌🏼👍🏼
