It just works
its perfect! does exactly what i need, no extra nonsense, love it. and may the universe bless the developers with 10,000 years of good luck for not including ads on the free version.
UI is broken, no fix in 7 months
Most logging entries don’t show options for the entry but show options for walking. For example, the “Food” button will take you to a screen that shows you miles walked and time instead of things such as the food type you’re giving your dog or the amount of cups. It’s very frustrating because this is affecting everything in the Diet, Outdoors, and Care sections and forces me to have to add details in the notes that should already just be baked into the different buttons already. If this gets fixed then this is a superior dog logging app for iOS for many things, but it has had no developer response and you can’t even leave feedback on their website because the site is broken too (there’s another review that talks about it here). It’s shocking how much broke and even more shocking you can’t report these issues because the email form is non-functional.

This app has some good quality to it but it’s not very useful because of content limitations. There has to be a better app out there to keep track of your beloved pet’s health and shot records.
Some wires crossed
I’m not sure if it’s a new version or just premium. But the record a pee now shows the walk form. This is the one feature we bought the upgrade for. Please fix
Great free app! Super helpful for tracking doggo activities!
This is a super helpful app with great features available for free and even more options with paid plans. We have been able to use the free version for years to track medical issues, medications, and potty breaks as a household to ensure needs are met without missing or duplicating anything. You can create custom one-time or reusable events to log/track. I only wish there was a function that allowed for custom sorting/organizing categories and events in each category vs. in the order created.
I can’t submit this on the website so here it is.
2/5/2026 The contact us option on the website won’t let me submit so here I am. The app has been buggy since the most recent iOS updates. It will sometimes not open and just be stuck on the loading page with the DogLog logo. We’ll be at home, full bars and WiFi and it still won’t open. Also when my husband and I log something it won’t save. We’re in the same pack and have had no issues since we started using the app 7 months ago. Since the updates we now have multiple issues of things not being logged. We rely on this app to help track our dogs medication and food. Please fix this. We really like this app but it’s been a real pain the past couple of weeks.
No Dark Mode Available
Great app. Dark Mode would be a nice feature for evening logs.
Not great for two puppies.
Too many bugs when there are two new puppies added. Keeps mixing them up. Thought it was my mistake the first couple times, like creating the profiles, it mixed up which photo went with which dog. Then after renaming them, I created entries for one dog, and it shows up in the other dog’s log book. I’m fact both logs for both dogs are identical, showing the log from one dog in both dogs logs. So unfortunately this app isn’t very useful if it can’t keep the data separated.

Would prefer a spot for medical updates when dealing with a chronic condition. And place to make notes ie vet visit why were there and what. Transpires
Love the app
My family and I have been using DogLog and it’s been a great experience. It helps us track everything across all family members — we weren’t always the best at communicating when someone had already done something, but now I just check my phone and it’s all right there: who walked him, who fed and watered him, when he last went to the bathroom, his weight, and so much more. It’s taken the guesswork out of caring for our dog and made sure nothing slips through the cracks. Highly recommend to any multi-person household with a pet!
Didn’t Work
It was buggy and stuck loading on screens and reminders were terribly unintuitive.
Great idea but glitches interfere
It’s a great idea but whenever I try to add notes it glitches and won’t let me finish what I’m trying. Im looking for an app that will let me add notes easily
Freezing
Had for 5 minutes and deleted. App always froze. I couldn’t even look at app features.

Great App, 3 stars because many features were free before and now the sub seems a little bit too much
The best and most simple
This is the most valuable tool we’ve had in house training our dog and getting him on a regular schedule. Especially with 2 of us taking care of the dog. He’s now 2 and never has an accident. Well hardly ever. Great as a reminder too of when he gets his monthly flea meds.

Good app
App works well, easy to use. Allows multiple users which is what I needed. I do wish you could have more than one custom category. I also wish I could re-arrange the icons so the ones I prioritize are at the top.
Stopped sending notifications?
Have notifications turned on and it stopped sending them all of the sudden a few weeks ago. Have redownloaded the app and restarted phone with no luck. Notifications when others feed or medicate my dogs are one of the key features of the app.
Love this app!
I downloaded this app when I first picked up my puppy on Jan 1, and it’s been so helpful for tracking when he needs to go to the bathroom, how long he needs to sleep for, etc. I ended up grabbing the subscription so I could track the duration of his naps, and it was a very reasonable fee. If you have a puppy, this will help you stay on top of feeding, play, and potty breaks in an easy and quick way. Love it!

This app does a great job of keeping track of potty events, walks, meds, etc. I upgraded to the paid version, not so much for the added features, but just because I wanted to support the developers. There are two things I wish it would do: 1) work when I don’t have internet access (it won’t open, and when I’m out hiking I can’t track anything in real time), and 2) set the stool quality to always be “normal” unless I change it manually (this is a premium feature).

I wish you were able to control all the icons and get rid of the ones you don’t use because I pay for the app and I cannot do that and it’s really frustrating if I pay for the app except for that it’s a good app for me give me a track of all my Puppy stuff but that’s really frustrating
Love this app!
Register everything, meds, vet appt, baths. This app has been a savior when you need to recall events. I also like that you can attach photos which too have been great for evidence that vet can later take a look at.
Necessary for multiple caretakers of a puppy
We were really suffering for the first few days after picking up our puppy until I realized there must be an app to help. We were able to make and join a pack easily (must have account before joining fyi) and I have added several custom events on the free version to help with communication with passing on puppy duties. The only thing that would have dog parents love this app more is smartwatch app compatibility.
Unflexible Wiederholungen
Leider gibt es wenig Flexibilität bei der Wiederholung von Terminen, wöchentlich und alle 2 Wochen bzw x Monate sind vordefinierte Regeln, aber „alle 6 Wochen“ ist zb nicht vorgesehen. Die selbst wählbaren icons für neue Aktivitäten sind schon sehr auf Hunde ausgerichtet. Ja, es heißt „dog log“, aber ich hatte gehofft, die App wäre generisch genug, auch für Katzen nutzbar zu sein. Problem: wenn ich von den 2 Tieren im Startbild eines auswähle, lande ich immer abwechselnd im Daylog beim „richtigen“ Namen oder eben bei dem Namen des anderen Tieres. Keine Logik erkennbar, scheint also eher Zufall. Da muss man dann bei der Eingabe höllisch aufpassen…
Saved Us!
Phew! This app is EVERYTHING right now as my household navigates potty training a new puppy. Love the quick and easy logging shared amongst the house. Suggestions: a widget option pls for quick logging and or Siri logging (hey siri log that Spot peed)?The only other thing missing is a potty predictor based on habits.
Easy to use but not very flexible
I like that all we need to do is click one button to record an event (feeding, walking, etc.) for our dog. The main reason I wanted an app though was to keep track of his training activities. There is only one generic training button. And yes there are custom buttons but once set I can’t modify the name I give a button without deleting it and starting a new one. This loses all the info in the notes associated with the original button. Also I can’t delete pre-programmed buttons that I don’t use. So we have one for “treat”, but since he’s in training and gets many many small treats, the treat button is of no use but I can’t get rid of it. The premium version apparently isn’t any more customizable than the free one - if it was I’d happily purchase it.
Loses custom settings
It’s a helpful app, but every time I close and reopen the app the custom tasks I saved will disappear. They reappear at random times but it can take several attempts at reopening the app or upwards of an hour of waiting. The custom tasks I use are for tracking his different medications and timings, training tasks and recurring behaviour/health issues, so it’s really frustrating when they are missing and only the default choices show. I can’t figure out how to fix the issue

Such a wonderful app. We got a puppy and keeping tracking of all the pees, poos, and also training and socialization and meds and and and… you get it. This helps so much for keeping us pet parents on the same page. Easy to use, simple, and the free version works wonderfully. Thank you!
Great app for tracking your puppy’s progress
Works great for tag teaming care giving and monitoring progress, simple and intuitive to use. Filters make finding historical data very easy. 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no way to export data to print a report and no way to edit the names of icon categories or their placement on the page. Hopefully we’ll see these additions in upcoming updates! 📈
Updates needed
App has great functionality, awesome to keep track of new puppies actions at home with us and with dog walker. iOS glitches with adding custom actions. Cannot get past the page of selecting an icon without app crashing.

Love the idea of this app, it’s very simple and easy to use. Would be great to have an option to add a picture to each event to though & maybe some more events specifically thinking of puppies, like sounds (Hoover, hairdryer) & new experiences (meeting postman, kids, other animals) 🙃
