4.0 is garbage
The old version was great. New 4.0 buggy and filled with adds now. Alias does not work any more and writes the name to an entirely different device. Device get grayed now and won’t even let you click on them. As the saying goes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Why is there a category „Near by“ when it is not ordered by distance? This is annoying.

I did the most recent update, started the app, then it said that an update is required, meaning it doesn’t do anything now since it is stuck in this loop.
Good at what it says it does
I tried out a few apps like this one, but deleted the others because this one functioned the most like its description.

件の都市伝説の真偽確認のためにインストールしました。n/aがたくさん検知されますが、体内からなのか、別のものなのか、ちょっとわかりづらい。 自宅のpcのBluetoothで試したところ、N/Aではなく、ちゃんと名前で表示されました。 レーダー 表示にして調べたい対象物にスマホをくっつくくらい近づけると、"immediate"の中に○が入ってくるので、それで判別できるかも？？ しかし友達いない歴20年の私には、調べさせてくれる友達がいません( ˙-˙ )
日本語設定がほしいのと拒否設定
iPhoneを使用していますが、パソコンとbluetoothで繋ごうとしたときに、なりすましのスマホが接続していることに気がつきました。 誰なのかわからないので、お隣さんか、家族？ パソコン名を変更したり、iPhone名を変更したりして試したのですが、変更するとしばらく接続できなくなるため、これをインストール。 パソコン自体が購入時から乗っ取られてる可能性は高いのですが、スマホも。 一応、逆らえないとしても、自分でなんとかしたかったのでこれをインストール。すると、全く知らないデバイスが何台か、出てきました。怖すぎ！ できたら、そのデバイスを接続拒否したいので、拒否設定を作って欲しい。じゃないと意味ないじゃん。と思います。 私のiPhoneと同じ名前にしているヤツを排除したい。まじで犯罪なのに。

Just bought a wi-fi enabled pool vac…proved the wi-fi was not broadcasting and I wasn’t an idiot. Manufacturer did not argue and sent the replacement power supply.

Pebble timeアプリの代わりに使用
機種変更したらPebbleアプリがとうとう使えなくなったので、検索で知ったこちらのアプリを使用してみました。Pebble time roundと接続すると、iPhoneの通知がちゃんと届きました。ただ、時刻合わせはできないようで、少しずつPebbleの時刻表示が遅れていきます。
iPadでは動作しない
iPhoneではBluetooth機器を検出しますが、 iPadでは一つも検出しません。
ビーコンアドバタイズが正常に機能しない
開発中アプリのiBeacon機能確認に使用しました。 このアプリから発信したビーコンを受信すると、メジャーとマイナーの値がめちゃくちゃになります(設定値によらず)。例えば両方0に設定したとしても受信した値はランダムな値になります。

What a horrible app
This “thing” is useless for developer purposes. The app’s UI is terrible, and because filtering does not work one has to constantly browse through loads and loads of advertising devices.

Missing Critical Information , horrid UX
Does not show Device ID / MAC. Range scanner is ok but useless, can't tell which device is which in that view, only shows 2 letters of the name and its RSSI. History doesn't use filter. iOS confirmation flash hides menu button, have to wait for flash to go away.
Copy disabled
Functions fine, shows me all nearby bluetooh devices and data for them. My major gripe is that the app disables text selecting, so you can't copy any text out (e.g. UUIDs, strings, hex values). I don't why I'd ever use this tool, and not want to copy this data.

As described, picks up as fast as an airplane. Someone please figure out and share the code to disable or incapacitate their transmissions.
Garbage
This app is utter garbage, and the fact that it has received mostly positive ratings confirms my suspicion that most App Store ratings rigged and manipulated by the people selling the app. This app has several screens, and to navigate among them you mostly use the menu via the icon at the upper left corner of the app screen. The major problem is that for some of the screens, this menu does not expand. For example, if you tap on “About us” in the menu, this takes you to a screen where you are stuck because the menu icon that you tap does not work on this screen. You are stuck looking at pictures of several “software developers” in India, where “software developers” make up a large percentage of the general population. Some of them actually have college degrees, and a certain percentage of those degrees are more than mail-order certificates, however for the most part if you own a phone and are able to figure out how to use it, you meet the qualification of “software developer”. Anyway, the app is so badly designed as to thoroughly deserve to be labeled garbage. After I deleted it I downloaded it a 2nd time, thinking that I had to have overlooked something. After experimenting with it some more, I deleted it again. Then I started having second thoughts again, so I downloaded it again a 3rd time, and after a few more minutes of experimentation it was very clear that my first impression had been perfectly correct. This thing is a piece of garbage, and the reason is that the people who wrote it simply do not have any real understanding of how to design application software.
Apple IPhone 6plus
I was going insane trying to connect a device to my IPhone 6plus. After trying to upgrade my Bluetooth settings on the above IPhone for one week with no success. Finally I came across the BLE SCANNER APP. Not only was I able to connect immediately to my JBL CHARGE 3 but I was also able to connect seamlessly to my SHARP SMART ROCU TV. *EXCELLENT APP - I only gave the BLE SCANNER APP 4 out of 5 stars, is out of my frustration for not finding the APP SOONER! Good app- slightly confused
I lost my Apple Pencil a few days ago, I was relieved when it was definitely somewhere close but the numbers confuse me and don’t understand what direction to go or to look, the distance is not changing even after I wonder about and am confused what unit it represents

I am able to connect my first generation Apple Pencil to my new iPad Air, so I love that this app has saved me some money from having to purchase a new one.

I had Bluetooth equipment right in front of me and it didn’t pick up anything. I tried finding instructions to see if I was using it wrong or just to learn and I could not find much

Confusing User Interface
The “radar” screen is supposed to show Bluetooth device proximity but a simple test using a headset shows it doesn’t recognize when a device is powered down. - It kept showing it as near. It did show the headset moving away (when powered on) so It works to some degree but I think you have to manually restart the app frequently to clear out old devices.
It was great but it has stopped working….
Not sure what’s happened to the app I upgraded it but it’s not detecting anything now, it was really good

Hi. I need help, I downloaded this app and connected my Blackpink Lightstick to this app and now it does not work like before. It turns to orange, red and yellow. The Blackpink has only 3 songs that works with the Lightstick and now after connecting the Lightstick to this app it only works for a few seconds and turns off. How can I fix it. I made a huge error downloading this app and connecting it to my Lightstick. Please someone help me. I don’t know what I did. Is my Lightstick damaged. The Lightstick has Bluetooth and I connected without knowing how to use this app without knowing what will happen so the Lightstick changes colors but now it is not the pink colors is only red, yellow and orange.

Excellent App. Should provide more info about the various BT devices, as well as ways to ‘discover’ them i.e., make them ring/buzz when possible.

Interesting product and a test picked up expected / known devices. But with no privacy policy other than a pdf with two sentences that do not explain what the app may share, this app is a non-starter. Not that this is unfair, it’s free.

Can someone tell me how to use it
How detector
Using this to scan and determine if ble radios are configured and broadcasting the correct assigned uuid / major / minor. The filtering worked good as well for what I needed
Scanning map for near, mid, and far distance crashed
Something is wrong with its map that shows range of devices. The list works but when hitting the scan map for ranges - sadly it immediately crashes. The app has been deleted and restarted twice and as well had one update. Deleting again today it failed.
Interesting App
It shows nearby devices and guesses at their range by relative signal strength. If it would do that from different locations to triangulate, it could display an approximate 2d map. I like that it shows some of the device names.
Wii Remote
I thought that I might’ve been able to connect my Nintendo wii controller to my iPhone to play some games with it. as it worked on my chromebook and kindle so I thought, hey why not iOS! However as it turns out iOS isn’t compatible with these controllers which I found rather odd the battery’s where new and these controllers certainly weren’t broken. So this is the part where I used the app to see if it’s just me or if the IPhone doesn’t support it. obviously it didn’t work, otherwise I wouldn’t be here, but I’m Sure this will work with your AirPods and headsets, it doesn’t work with a simple controller.
