A Truly Wonderful Adventure!
I have had a marvelous time joining Jericho and Darius on their many adventures. As a life-long fan of all things Paladin, these books are a delicious indulgence. The stories are well written and engaging, and I felt myself heavily invested in the outcome. Even the evil baddies are great characters. This “choose your own adventure” format works beautifully. My thanks to everyone involved in this project. If you keep publishing these books, I’ll keep reading them!
Garbage
Game literally won’t let you win the first fight. Your rival has to come and save you despite it being a fair fight.
Fun & descriptive rolling play book
Good fun to make choices for characters as they go forward; and maybe stay alive(?).
Good
Really enjoyed it so far totally worth it
Psionics / Spirituality etc
Darius and the main char n even the Wolfmen hav this duality ov soul / vigourousness n fearsome-force / rigour ( ai believe )
Good
Good
Sneaky sneaky sneaky
The first 30 chapters are free, then it’s $5 each for the remaining 3 chapters. So $15 to finish the book. Sneaky!
A great time, but.
The game is great but scoring decisions and offering little comments about decisions made in game is annoying and trite.
Loved it, but...
I loved the concept. Used to read choose your own adventure games as a kid and enjoyed the hell out of them. So I downloaded the game. Paid for 25$ for the story which promised 170k+ words. Read through 30 chapters of the game I just paid for only to be told I have to pay an addition 5$ to continue. What a bunch of crap! I already paid for the cyber-novela, why the hell do I have to pay more? Seems like a great concept. Hope they spent my hard earned $$ to pay some more writers. They’ll never get another dollar from me.
Top notch fantasy.
The telling of the story is so riveting. The choices are pretty diverse and actually pose a challenge when deciding. I Am thoroughly hooked.
Well done.
This is entertaining and it has substance. This is very fun, and it is accessible.
Paladins
Great writing and well scripted to move the adventure along with anticipation!
Great game
It’s very good I just wish there were more female main characters :/ But the story’s very good.
This app is so mutch fun
I love it
Fun
Well written and a lot of fun
Amazing
Im not much of a reader I mostly force myself to read because I have to, not because I want to. But, whenever I was in a car trip I decided to download this just to check out waste some time and mannnn. I’m hooked this is amazing storytelling and writing really enjoying this a lot
Good story
Good story, with a nice mix of battle, judgement and decision making.
Good Story so far.
Only played the first chapter so far and the storyline is pretty good. Interesting choices to be made, looking forward to the next chapter.
Really liked it
So I read the first chapter and am on the way to the rest. It’s not badly written and I like the constraints your set into. I’d like to see what happens next, we should be able to heal a bit during visits to town or camps just to make it more realistic. Not that fantasy is realistic but maybe a heal spell? You are a paladin so that’s part of the norm and par for the course. Anyways please keep writing and making more!
This is fun!
I’m having a great time with these stories!
Adventure is here
It’s a nice imaginative old style adventure book app, it’s the closest I’ve gotten to them on the App Store Story’s are good ,and no bugs so far
Very nice
I love how the choices are dependent on the people in their personalities. I’m not too far into it but it seems like a really great story so far!
Sweet game
Awesome
I like it
:]
Solid entry
I personally found the concept and premise quite engaging; I loved how this approach to story telling encourages and even utilizes immersive readers to really put themselves in the story. The choices are all fairly reasonable, never did I find them overtly one sided or obvious. I did, however find the combat choices moderately unpredictable which at times snapped me out of the narrative and instead of keeping me in. I would select an option thinking one thing only to read that the character didn't do anything close to what I expected, making me think "I'll have to go back and fix that after" which is more akin to a game mechanic than an immersive story. It would be nice to have a little more description of the characters intentions for some actions. Some of the choices were also too similar, like, it was anyone's guess which one would be more beneficial. It would be awesome to have more choices that related to the general strategy of a given encounter. Those choices were certainly present, but more would have been better. Playing as Jacob (I think) was awesome. Choosing to run, use the wheel barrow, or climb a tree, were distinct and believable choices the character would consider. It made me feel involved with the characters survival, like I truly controlled his fate, that was an excellent encounter. However I liked how most choices included the characters inner rationale for said choice, most of the time making every choice feel well thought out. The story was compelling and interesting and I look forward to more. I can't wait to see how this method of story telling evolves over time, I encourage anyone to give this a try. It would be really interesting to see the books develops bigger "meta choices" that can actually dictate how the book turns out. I realize how much more work that can be, but it would be really interesting to explore a book that you can read multiple times and have different outcomes each time.I love this catalyst for novels and I encourage people to give it a chance. It might not be for everyone, but it certainly works for me.
