Great start
Earworms is a great way to get started leaning a new language. It would be extremely helpful for a trip to a foreign country. The only down side is that it only has 3 volumes for the language i am learning. Maybe there is more depth in some other languages. It is enjoyable and convenient and it works.

Bonjour, L’idée d’apprendre en musique est géniale. Mais il serait bien d’ajouter dans les paramètres : 1- La capacité de baisser ou augmenter le volume, 2- Un large choix de genres musicaux en option libre. MERCI ET BONNE CONTINUATION
Step back
Had an older version of Earworms which is sadly no longer supported for OS 11. So deleted and get the new version. It has same audio (Spanish) but is far less intuitive. I can no longer select the Category I’m interested in (travel,cafe) but have to listen to the whole audio instead, a step backwards I’m afraid.
Tracks good booklet hopeless
I’ve tried a number of these and they are great for learning ‘holiday’ languages….. but the accompanying booklets are hopeless. Awful to read on a phone screen, terrible to print out and even worse to reformat into something useful.
The best
I have tried several language learning systems and had very little success. Since using Earworms I’m using Italian in everyday conversations after only a few lessons. If you are serious about learning a language and want an easy, almost effortless method - invest in Earworms.
Where’s my account purchases??
Not very happy. Bought it at a discount, opened an account and claimed the activation code online. Downloaded the app and there is no place to claim the code, or even to access my account! What gives?? Useless if I can not get my online purchase on the app version.

Crashes constantly
Good content but app crashes constantly.
A novel idea…
But some of the worst execution. It’s clear each ‘“song” was written by a teacher instead of an actual musician, the “singers’” lack of vocal prowess also makes it hard to listen to. If they just wrote actual catchy songs worth listening to that tell a proper story using simple words, it would definitely be effective.
Great program and fantastic customer service
I have enjoyed learning Italian with this method. It is simple and easy to use. The repetition helps me to remember words and phrases like no other program I have tried and I have tried plenty of others. The customer support is the BEST I have ever used. Quick and efficient and very personable. Maria was able to explain the difference between the Audible books and the App. You could tell by the response that they truly care about their users. Bravo!
Does not work
Can not get past the start button. It says network error even though I am connected to the Internet through wifi

I like the way the speech links to text on the screen. Lack of Duolingo silly voices is very good - I’m using this with Duo. Like the way they concentrate on the pronunciation- tho he does sound as though he’s trying to chat her up, which is bit off putting. Good phrase book too with hints and tips and volume one has phonetic version under the words to help with pronunciation. Something Duo could learn from. No silly games/‘friends’/or competitive leagues- not needed by anyone aged over 14 tbh - and no annoying animated characters. It’s all fairly effortless- so have to see how good it is! Certainly worth a try.
Needs work
It’s a great course, but quite annoying because of the constant drop out/crashes (the app stops completely) I have the CD of the course (French), but the app for iPhone could use some work - can only give two stars to the app because of the constant crashes
The best of a bad bunch
Most language learning applications are horrible. this app is a breath of fresh air. I am finally beginning to learn phrases that I can actually use. cons: there are not many lessons. there could be more repetition. it would be so much better if you could select the lessons that you want to practice in advance.
Great way to learn a new language!
The Turkish Vol. 1 has been so helpful for me as an absolute beginner! The chapters are fun to listen to, and the voices and lessons are easy to understand and remember. After listening for just a week, I am able to speak short sentences and understand sentence structure! Would love for there to be more Turkish volumes! 🙏🏻
App crashes all the time
Love the tapes, and find them really helpful for language learning, but on iPhone XS I cannot get more than about 1 minute through before the app crashes and closes itself.
Ready responder
It works. The conversational full sentence style within contextual situations gave me a moment of glory in Italy when a delivery truck driver stopped and directed a long question to me. I immediately responded with the exact phrase for the situation much to the awe and amazement of my friends. They now think I’m fluent, and probably an undercover operative.
Hard pass!
App crashes every few minutes. No exaggeration. Past versions never crashed so I’m sure this will be resolved. I’ve had this app for over a year and Earworms has not updated mandarin once. Many times overpriced for for what you’re getting.
Américain Vol1 marche pas
Bonjour J’ai acheté l’anglais américain volume 1 puis j’essaye de télécharger cela ne marche pas. J’ai supprimé l’application puis restaurer ça marche toujours pas. Le volume 2 marche mais pas le volume 1. Merci de bien vouloir le réparer le plus rapidement possible Je changerai la note quand cela sera fait. Works for Me
Visiting Portugal in September and wanted to learn polite and useful phrases. The rhythmic Earworms style clicked with me. Began listening on my morning walks and started to pick up phrases and my pace. I am retaining through repetition. Customer service is really good. An actual human answers the email with helpful and thorough information. Overall a very good experience.
Where is restore purchases feature?
I like your style of learning and got v 1 FRENCH many years ago. Now I got a triple set of French tracks on iPhone app and some have been downloaded corrupted. I needed to delete and to reload the tracks. Now YOUR APP IS ASKING FOR $30 AGAIN. Where is restore purchase button? Please advise.
Great way of learning useful phrases
This app is a great introduction to learning any new language, I really liked the incorporation of music to help reinforce the phrases. Lots of useful phrases which you would naturally use when abroad in these countries.
can’t get started; infinite loop
app loads, splash screen says “get started”, next screen asks native language to learn in, then says “Restore Previous Purchases” with no other choice possible, then responds “no purchases made”. well, of course not, it’s my first time using it! offers no other option but to repeat the same process. edit: ok, after i re-launch it, it will allow me to select English as my base language (previously did nothing when i tapped English). but it doesn’t offer Swedish, my target language.
I love this approach to learning a language
This is one of the most unique and effective approaches to learning a foreign language I have yet to encounter. The mix of musical backgrounds and rhythms that accompany the words and phrases being presented actually reinforces and ingrains them into your brain. I am studying European Portuguese on multiple apps and online platforms, including Duolingo (which does not teach European Portuguese) and by far this is the best. I only wish the developers added more lessons and categories to the library, i.e. lessons specific to business encounters, dealing with doctors/emergency workers/police, grocery shopping, and tradespeople (contractors, plumbers).
Do I really have to pay a second time?
I bought earworms Polish and very much enjoyed listening to it the car on the commute to work, but that was on the old OS. Now you have launched it on new iPhone OS, and you want me to pay again even though you have just copy pasted the old tracks over with no new material? When there is another new OS you will want me to pay a third time for the same material? This I will not do.

Fun and effective
I love love love this learning method! Unlike one other music-enhanced audiobook that just rattled off a bunch of action words, Andrew and Filomena walk you through practical phrases, helping you to piece the words together until you have a sentence. They have great voices, and it's cute how they sound like they're enjoying the gelato part. These are phrases I'll definitely use (except for the non parlo Italiano, as I WILL know some Italian!). One particularly neat aspects is that I'll wake up some mornings with a phrase in my head that's imprinted without me even having to work at it. I highly recommend this program for fun, easy learning! I’m just starting volume 2. Also, the customer service was amazing. Maria gave me Quick answers and was so personable . One tip is to download all the tracks so it will keep playing after the phone goes to sleep.
I may be wrong, but
If this is the same “earworm” app developer as before. I’ve spent $10 on the Spanish edition in the past and that app no longer works nor is it even found in the App Store. First time I’ve ever paid for an app and BLOOP! App AND my money is gone. That’s the issue with buying digital stuff, you never truly get to own it.
Great learning program, but iPhone app still have bug
Great learning program, but iPhone app still have bug. On IPad it runs fine for me, but on IPhone, it keep jump out of the app for no reason, can’t even finish one track. One more thing, if there is a function to have next song automatically start, it would be great for listening it on the go. Maybe a foundation to repeat play one track too.
Could be better, but mostly useful and fun
I’ve learned how to say some common phrases, but I have not got past the fourth language song since I have not mastered those words yet into everyday memory. Lately, the app has been closing multiple times during any one song, instead of continuous playback.
Greek Language Learning
I’ve used many apps and programs for learning Greek…. But I find this one so enjoyable and works so well. I think this is a must for those who want conversational Greek. When can we expect a Vol. 3?!! Highly recommend.
No play on function
EarWorms is fantastic, but this app does not allow you to play on from one song to the next, nor does it allow you to have one song on repeat. This makes the app completely useless, because you can’t listen to it when driving or busying yourself with something else. You have to continuously press ‘next’. So dumb!
Earworms German
I purchased the CD version for vol 1 and really enjoyed it. I purchased vol 2 on my phone just for the convenience but it crashes every minute or so and I have to restart. Please fix this!
Contact Page Not Working on their website
I tried the demo and am seriously considering the purchase. But I would like to find out if it’s more effective to repeat after each phrase, or if it’s more effective to just listen carefully. I know that both options are available. I’m just curious which is typically more effective according to the research, but when I try to contact them from the website from the FAQ page, it errors out. So it would be nice to have a direct email address to reach with questions like these. Also, besides the karaoke style lyrics, how do I access the pdf? Thanks!
Really upset
I first found the audio book version of this and bought it. Really liked it. Found the app here and bought it. It’s essentially the same thing but by buying the app I’m getting the actual text that goes along with the spoken words to help me learn. Except that I’m not. Russian, seems to be a second class language with these guys. The text they show is often converted to English text not Cyrillic text which is okay for sounding it out if your not familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet but useless in the long run because Russian uses the Cyrillic alphabet. If you don’t provide the full Cyrillic text then I have to play with Google translate a whole heck of a lot to get it translated just right. It’s a monumental effort. They have a download phrase book button but it doesn’t download a phase book at all. Instead you subscribe to the mail blast. There is no book for me to download with the text. I’m sure their intentions are good but this fails on so many levels. Just provide the text in Cyrillic. Why is this so difficult? Why can’t you do this? I’d appreciate a refund if you can’t. It is the only reason I bought this app. I can already buy and already have bought the audio which is available as an audio book. I’m buying the app to see the full text in the native Cyrillic. So frustrating. I can’t stand app that half-### things. It’s wastes my time. Get it right or don’t bother doing it at all. Who checks these apps to see if they deliver at Apple, no one? Get this off the store.
Next Upgrade Suggestion
I’ve been using this app for a short period and have so far enjoyed listening to the music and phrases as I walk about. In the next update to the app, it would be really helpful if the tracks automatically progressed from one to the next - I’d like to drift off to sleep and have it play overnight - but as it stands the user has to manually forward to the next track, and so I don’t find the app completely user-friendly. Between this app, formal classes and other web based French lessons, I hope to slowly but progressively improve my comprehension of French and my ability to have basic conversation.
Fantastic app
This app and the program is awesome. The support is great. Using the music to help remember is the way to go. Learning language in small chunks is how you remember. 40 years ago a gentleman in Dallas taught me some phrases is Spanish that I still remember to this day and can speak them as clearly as when I learned them. There was a radio station there that had a jingle to remember them “Siempre contigo” and I feel the same about this app.
Why can’t I restore my purchases?
