What people like
- Great for managing downloads remotely
- Works well with headless setups
- Safari integration saves lots of time
- Developer is responsive to feedback
What they complain about
- Captcha solving often fails or loops
- New interface is confusing and cluttered
- Connection drops frequently without warning
- Many features locked behind paywall now
Great update, but…
The latest update has a speak new look, it functions well with the exception of being signed out frequently. Please fix this asap.
Nutzlos
Außer man bezahlt 10 Euro… 🤣
"Very empty" in Downloads/Collector.
So bug 1 fixed. Great:) Now the only problem is that the file names are not show. Completely when opening a package. Only <first part>...<last part>.mp4 e.g. Quite useless when the shortened part "..." contains the info you need (language code) to choose which file to download.
Ansonsten okay.
Much better than before.
The developer took this app to the next level. It’s (almost) perfect.
Chrome extension
Are you guys ever gonna update the chrome extension so we could actually use this?
Great app, built in browser needs some work though
Awesome app. Happy it’s possible to remote into my downloaded with it being less pain in the neck. Really wish I could save my login for my debris services so that I could just click on each bookmark and immediately share links though
Suddenly adding links is paywalled
I get needing to have funding to cover costs, but don't paywall something that was previously free.
useful, but with issues.
basic functionality works and is very useful, however a number of features do not, making it much more clumsy to use. the default download folder doesn’t work for me, i have to manually set the the folder (to the same as the default is set) otherwise i’ll get an invalid folder error. the cnl also doesn’t seem to work: it will send from safari to the app, however when i then send the file to my downloads it vanishes entirely.
Fehler seit neuer GUI
New layout is terrible!
So many clicks to get anywhere with this new layout. Home Screen is difficult to get back to for captcha’s.
Amazing
This app is a must if you want to enter remotely into your server.
Was good before update
The update made it so JDownloader won't send downloads to the path you specificy. It defaults to a random path and even if you type out a path it reverts to the default path when you send the file. Please revert this update.
Great App! One suggestion though
The ability to change the color of the input text in the “or enter text to send to jdownloader” field. It defaults to black, and when creating a dark theme, the input text is hard to see.
Update 2.0
slow
compared to 1DM , this goes at a snail's pace. does well picking up links thoug, so it doesn't deserve to go below 3 stars.
Good App (edited)
It’s a very powerful app to manage Jdownloader. However, my biggest gripe is that the app needs to reconnect to the server if I leave the app for even 1 second. edit: The developer responded that he will look into keeping the session alive in a future update. I read in his response to another review that he’s the only one who works on this app (this isn’t an official app). To be honest, based on that this app deserves 5 stars.
was bitte soll das ?
Great little tool
It does everything I need it to. Very limited free version but that’s okay, upgrading for notifications to solve captchas was well worth it. The integration with Safari share sheet is also great, quick and effective. No more hopping around tabs and extra clicks, a great time saver. Had to take a star out unfortunately because it lacks Magic Keyboard support, making it impossible to use the slide gesture on individual files to get quick actions. Hope that can be added in a future update.
Konrad
Works - Pricey
App works - and UI isn’t too bad. Little cluttered/bigger However you can’t add/edit links without a minimum $6.99 purchase. Little misleading to say “support as much as you choose” and only have 3 price points. Without laying you can basically just start/stop and see progress.
Nice
Does what i need
Click and Load nicht mehr möglich
Links werden angeblich hinzugefügt. Allerdings kommen sie nie im JDownloader an.
Need faster captcha solving or plugins
Need faster captcha solving or plugins
Keeps signing me out
This app keeps signing my JD account out of the app and it forgot that I paid for premium. Going through the steps to purchase it again allowed me to restore the purchase, but thats pretty absurd. Would be five stars otherwise, love the functionality and being able to view everything remotely.
Not intent to purchase
I accidentally purchased this app today, how can I get refund back? I don’t need it this app
Used to be a great app...
I used this app for ages and it was great. Now I launch it and it just pops up multiple ads and then sits there with a connecting circle. Update: Somehow it lost that I paid for unlock. Restored purchase and everything is back to normal. Updated rating to reflect.
Free version it's useless
I just want to download links to my server but you can't add links without paying so what's even the point of the free version of this app. Maybe I'm missing something cuz the UI is such a mess.
Good(edited)
You are right, 4 stars for the effort I imagine it is good with premium Cause is already good in free mode
Ad watching broken on iPhone X
The app gives you free notifications if you watch videos, but if you have an iPhone X you can't. The video screen overlaps the notch and the close button overlaps the time and you can't tap it.
Awesome Update !!
All is resolved, Thanks !!!!
Bugged
Main page doesn't show any downloads and navigation is non user friendly. There's no indication to reclick a screen to make it go away. There's also some weird thing where I'm able to drag the main screen down to reveal the word "Downloads" but whatever is on top quickly just scrolls back up, seems to be the server list or something.
Really nice app
Love this app working great with my headless jdownloader2 on raspberry pi. just wish I didn’t have to pay to be able to change download speed
Cannot paste download URLs
Cannot paste download URLs. No paste-option pops up.
Works good... when it works
Cons - Notifications only work about 25% of the time. Can’t see entire queue. No “Select All.” Frequently can’t connect if captcha hasn’t been answered in a while. Pros - Captchas work great, just like answering them on a computer. Only real option for remote control of Jdownloader.
