Amazing
I’ve had difficulty sleeping most of my adult life. A friend who’s had similar sleep issues as myself suggested I try SleepSpace. I was reluctant to try yet another sleep app, but I did and it’s been amazing. The custom sound mixes are meditative and dreamy. I look forward to listening every night, and have been so happy seeing my sleep stats actually improve!
Not worth the download
I used the app with my Apple Watch. I also have 3 other fitness apps that also track sleep. Since this app was designed specifically for sleep, I was hoping for some good, if not better, insight From the first night of the free trial, it has not provided any good information about my sleep. For example, one night I know I woke up 3X, including a bathroom visit. This app had none, while the others had 2-3 wake ups. Ditto every night, it came up short. No need to go further if it can’t get the basics right.

Doesn’t work half the time, drains phone battery
I hate this app
I was allowed to use this for two nights before the app became locked and demanded $99. I have trouble sleeping and do whatever I can to get sleep. So I turned the automatic 7:30 am alarm off. The next night it turned itself back on and woke me up at 7:30. There was no clear way to stop the thing from playing loud music. If you hit snooze it just played loud music 5 minutes later. I tried turning the volume down on the phone and that didn’t work either. There was no way to navigate away from the alarm screen either- so I was stuck with blaring music until the app decided to make an “I’m awake” button appear. Waking to a glitchy app is the opposite of why someone would want an app like this. Then I spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how to turn the alarm off permanently (because it’s not intuitive) and experienced clunky navigation and poorly explained features. Just when I thought it was set up properly to really give it a try, it stopped working entirely because it’s impossible to move past the screen where you have to pay for it. They should be paying ME for waking me up because they designed such a horrible app. It’s disappointing because the idea behind the app is amazing- but there is NO excuse for such a horrible design.
Great app but ad ruins it
Love the application itself however the “free trial” page pops up everytime I navigate to another part of the app and the only way to get it to go away is it click try now and then cancel. It’s very obnoxious. The frequency and the fact that there isn’t a way to just close the window easily.
An app that finally helps me sleep
I’ve tried a handful of sleep apps and Sleep Space is the first one that’s stuck. The soundscapes are genuinely relaxing rather than tinny or repetitive, and the sleep tracking feels accurate compared to what I notice in the morning. The interface is clean and easy to use late at night when I don’t want to be playing around with settings. It’s become part of my nightly routine and I’ve noticed a real difference in how rested I feel. Highly recommend if you’re struggling to wind down or stay asleep.

Buyer beware. I tried the 7 day free trial and they charged me for an entire year. I never got the 7 day free trial. Customer service does not respond. This is a very shady and misleading tactic. Best to avoid this app altogether.

App requires full access to Apple Health data
This is corporate data overreach to require me to give you read access to my health data. It’s none of your business. I’m cancelling the trial and going back to Sleep cycle which doesn’t require this. What are you doing with my data? Selling it?
why on earth is my watch lit up all night long.
This app isn’t bad, it does seem to help me get at least a little bit more deep sleep. It has one very frustrating problem my watch is lit up with information on it of my heartbeat and such, all night long! That is profoundly frustrating. And I can’t seem to make it stop. About ready to ditch the whole program.

I’m amazed this app has such a high rating. It is so buggy! It has a lot of great features but nothing seemed to work properly. Didn’t import/incorporate data from my apply watch. I couldn’t do the daily sleep diary first thing in the morning (as they suggest), but once they started sending notifications for me to do it, they would keep coming ALL day, even after I had completed it. I wasn’t excited about the fact that they tell you that the sleep coach and customer support is an AI bot (Dr Snooze), yet even that was a let down! The one big benefit from that should at least be the fact that it’s available 24/7 (as they state), but each time I tried to connect with it, the reply was that someone would email me within a few hours- they never did. There were lots of other glitches, but I’m TOO TIRED to write it all out! But if anyone at the app is reading this, please feel free to reach out! The app has a lot of great intentions and I’d love to see the tech behind it worked out. The one feature that worked which I really enjoyed was the ability to set a soundscape to help me wind down, and then switch to a different one to play throughout the night. That was great, but I’m not going to pay the full subscription fee just for that.
Watch haptics won’t stop
I really like this app but I can no longer use my watch with it. I start a sleep journey and my watch haptics go crazy and seem to be following my heart rate which is really annoyed when try to go to sleep. And then I can’t turn them off unless I delete the app from my watch. Can you fix this glitch please?

Can’t even use it
I downloaded it to see if I would like it. The app seemed to be free and then have a premium monthly subscription but after I made my account with my personal info connected and set a schedule it wouldn’t let me use it without going pro. I find it frustrating that it won’t let me use it for the free version unless I pay. I find it untrustworthy that there isn’t a way to delete my account without paying for the subscription since I can’t get to the profile section without the pop up being there

Sensationalist and Unhelpful
I feel like I wasted money on investing in this scammy app and its smart bed. The product page lies and says that the smart bed collects micro motion data, but when you talk to support and turn of health app integration you see that the app itself is collecting crappy data and passing other data sources off as its own. The app marketing also lies and suggests filling out the sleep survey and daily sleep journals but then the survey is a two-bit Facebook knockoff of a sleep chronotype and you can’t utilize both wearable data and journal data at the same time. Finally, because I don’t allow it Health app data I see that it doesn’t upload its own sleep data to your online profile where I should be able to see charts of how my sleep is doing over the month I’ve been using it. Instead it says “no data” indicating to me that it is again trying to siphon your Health app data from other sources and pass it off as its own data.
Not precise but excellent noise canceling sounds
I was not expecting the app to be very precise compare to my variable sleep monitor. However if the app measures the quality of the sleep and it doesn’t do it properly, it doesn’t help. I am using it for its mask functions and they work great
Depletes watch battery
This sleep app wasn’t for me. The meditations were annoying. I have another meditation app I like, but I can’t listen to that one while the sleep app is on. Also for some reason the app depletes my watch battery. Other sleep apps don’t do that. Finally the morning peak, etc. doesn’t seem accurate based on how I feel. Thanks for the free trial.

Now the sound mix and quality is better. Most sounds are stereo. The transitions are better. Great! However theres still the app levelling my iphone volume at the start of the first program. You should really leave the iphone volume to the USER. Also, if you could just set the gainnof all audiofiles a little lower, as on my headphone the LOWEST volume setting is still louder than the birds through my open window, so it might be still too loud on some headphone. You shouldnt just „normalize“ all volumes to 100% in the audiofiles, but to a level where its not too loud on the lowest volume setting.

Not accurate
As with all sleep apps, sleep stages are inferred from sounds, movement, heart rate, and, with some of the better ones, breathing rate. However, the real stages of sleep can only be measured by recording brain waves. All of these apps are only about 60% accurate, at best. The accuracy depends on the sensors you use. I use a Garmin watch which is great for heart rate and not bad for movement. However, the problem for me is when I’m trying to sleep after waking up in the middle of the night, I am motionless. So this app (and others) infers that I am asleep when I am not. So it will always show that I have a much longer sleep than actual.

This app requires a subscription, either monthly or annually, to “unlock” deep sleep and lucid dream sounds. Why would I pay repeatedly for the same thing? If I buy an album in the iTunes Store I pay one time. $20 per year to get access to the key features just seems wrong. I want to sleep better without funding someone’s summer home. Too the app requires an online account before you can use it. There doesn’t seem to be a point to this either other than collecting email addresses for ... what exactly? GDPR anyone? If the above doesn’t bother you then the app is well built and simple to use. Whether the deep sleep and lucid dream features work well I can’t say because I didn’t buy a subscription. Will be deleting the app as it’s mostly useless without the subscription and not worth $0.99. I’m kind of disappointed that TED featured this.
Love this app
This app has been great for improving my sleep and gaining more insights about my sleep health. I especially like the gradual alarm because it starts my day calm and wakes me gently.
Buggy on steroids
The app has a lot of potential It is not ready for prime time not even close. I know it’s hard to believe but I’ve spent about 15 hours trying to get it to work properly, and half of that time trying to get the Lifex bulb 💡 which SleepSpace promotes on the app. The customer support is non/existent. If you use the free trial, buyer, beware. After the free trial ended, I purchased a promotional item from SleepSpace directly that included a one-year subscription, and my credit card was, nevertheless, billed for one year after the trial period ended. SleepSpace ended up returning the money, but it was a huge headache on top of the waking nightmare I had getting the everything to work as it should. bottom line, don’t get the lightbulb, and even if you get it to work, it’s not worth the price space as a standalone app in my opinion as very little to the Apple sleep tracker. And probably most other sleep tracker is as well. One thing I do like are the thunder that I find soothing, apps that are available for free I do the same thing. Like I said, at the outside, SleepSpace has a lot of potential. But it’s unrealized and premature. Try it out for seven days decide for yourself but beware if you buy any accessories and hopefully you won’t be billed at the end of the seven days if you don’t want to continue an annual subscription. The owner appears to be helpful at first blush but if you count the number of emails that I’ve had with the man the number 100 and when he was working with me on a zoom call to get the lightbulb to work the car was dropped and I spent the rest of the day in the night working on it by myself because he wouldn’t be available until the following week I don’t think that was, good customer service on the contrary. I regret ever hearing the names SleepSpace. But now that I have it for one year of all, enjoy it for what it is. And there’s some additional device that the owner claims that if you put it underneath your mattress little perform wonders and because I’m a fanatic I’m gonna order it. Hopefully, if it doesn’t perform as represented, the company will return my money, although I don’t see any any of the products. After I try it out, I’ll update my review and let you know what I think in about a month time.
Good idea, but missed the mark
They had a good idea when trying to create this app, the problem is that it lacks the finesse that it needs. There are very simple features that this app should have that it doesn’t such as: the ability to cross fade between background white noise and the alarm in the morning / the alarm does not fade in consistently. The alarm instead goes from 20% volume to 40% volume to 60% volume until it reaches its max / the app does not take into consideration the incremental volume increase when setting alarm time. If you set an alarm for 7 the alarm will not be loud enough to wake you up until 7:05 or after. If the volume is going to increase over a period of 5 to 10 minutes it should be smart enough to start five or 10 minutes early to ensure you’re awake by the time you wanted to be. Issues like these continue throughout the app. There are a lot of small features that have been overlooked.
Deep sleep function missing
Purchased for deep sleep functionality. Disappointed it is only available with higher priced premium app. Should make this clearer to consumer...as basic app is essentially a white noise machine, which I don’t need.
Deeper sleep on my oura ring!!
VERY cool product I came across that pairs perfectly with my oura ring. So far very satisfied and I’m also loving the Dr Snooze chat feature.
Garbage
I have been using this app for a few weeks and it is wildly inaccurate. Last night for example, I tossed and turned until at least 4-5 am yet the app reports I slept well and got 100% recovery. Not even close.
Doesn’t work in airplane mode
I contact support a month ago about sleep data not recording when in airplane mode. I was told an offline version would be available within the next week. It has been at least 4 weeks and I still don’t get sleep data when I switch to airplane mode after calibration so I’m pretty disappointed. I use other apps to track my sleep score and my sleep quality goes down if my phone is not in airplane mode when I sleep. So far the app has been a waste of money for me.
It’s too Expensive
1/ The app is a good app but will I am sure/hope it will be refined as time goes on 2/ I payed 99p/c and was under the impression that premium was 2.99, but not 2.99....a month - in short it’s too expensive - charge me a lump sum and I would think about it such as 9.99 or something like that. If you are really attached to subscribers then 99c a month. 3/ also you cannot learn much about the app with a 3 day trial 4/ less is more - lower price = more people 5/ I want your app to succeed, I like your research, it’s valuable
Improved my deep sleep and REM sleep based on on my Oura ring
I’ve been tracking my sleep closely, and since using the SleepSpace app, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in both deep and REM sleep. Just comparing two nights — my deep sleep increased from 1 hour (12%) to 1 hour 24 minutes (17%), and REM sleep jumped from 2h 8m (27%) to 2h 41m (34%). That’s actually incredible, I’ve tried so many things and nothing had such a measurable impact. What’s impressive is how SleepSpace helps optimize your sleep environment and timing. I use it in airplane mode and still benefit from the sound features — no need for EMFs or always-on connectivity. The sleep latency, efficiency, and overall restfulness have also improved. Highly recommend this app if you’re serious about improving sleep quality in a natural and science-backed way. I genuinely wake up feeling more refreshed and recovered.
Most frustrating app I’ve ever downloaded.
Downloaded on recommendations of Dave Asprey for his sleep challenge. Created account and gave payment info but my phone will not recognize me as a customer and want to sign me up again. I’ve had 5 emails back and forth with no resolution. I don’t think this frustration is going to help my sleep. Update: finally got it working but all it does is give you a sleep score. Nothing else works and the help people always say, “this has never happened before”.
Too quiet
I’ve tried adjusting the sound level in the app, making noise while it calibrates (why is this necessary? Can’t it be turned off? I’d like to be able to set the volume), connecting to blue tooth speaker (doesn’t work), connected aux cable to speaker and cranked it to full blast...sound in latter configuration is barely sufficient and for some mysterious reason the app switches from speaker to iPad half of the time in the middle of the night. Have noticed no positive effect. Disappointed having paid the steep premium price.
READ CAREFULLY
I saw the Ted Talks and was happy about the app being available. I downloaded thinking that the Deep Sleep Simulator was included but I should have seen this was a subscription...You got me! Seriously, looks like a good app but I won’t be using this as I am tired of everything being a subscription for something that looks so simple. Charge me more if you like and let me own it.
Easy to use Sleep Diary Tracker
I have used SleepSpace personally and professionally as a sleep diary tracker. The app is easy to use and provides the needed information to track sleep variables and changes in my sleep. I also enjoy the inclusion of the various recordings within the app.

Installed then uninstalled this app based on all the data demands. Buyer beware - you are the product being sold to others.
Useless!!
The sound produced by this app is too low to be effective. User response 1) I said the sound was too low, not too high as your response seems to suggest. Also, I tried to connect to an small audio player using Bluetooth. That didn't work either. That was after the update that was supposed to address this issue. User response 2) Volume and Bluetooth work O.K. now. I have experimented with the different sounds, but have not found any benefit over the rain sounds I normally use to assist sleeping. I would like to check out the premium features, but I'm not prepared to pay a monthly fee to do so. I prefer to purchase my apps outright.
