What people like
- Very easy and fast to use
- Fun way to look back at memories
- Allows picking specific months for recaps
What they complain about
- Forces payment to see all nine photos
- Asks for a store rating before showing results
- Does not count likes on hidden posts
- Calculations are often wrong or missing popular posts
Easy to use
I love how easy abs seamless the process is.
Not exactly free
Wants money to see all nine photos: middle square is blank.
Fantastic App
Use all the time. Love it.
Sketchy practices for ratings
Honestly I would give this 5 stars to be free EXCEPT it asked me for my rating to keep it free - THEN showed me my top 8 and wanted $3.99 to see the 9th. Dude. I would have let it go if you hadn’t been dishonest and unethical about iy.
Mixed bag this year
This year (2025) they’ve added a feature where you can get top 9 for the whole year or you can pick a month, which is neat. But then when I went to do top 9 for the year, unlike previous years, the middle square has a padlock in it and there’s a button below to “unlock top 9.” I suspect this means you now have to pay for your top 9, but the button didn’t even work when I tapped it, so I have no idea
Love for New Years
Fun to look back
They’re Tricky
It’s not free when I write a review.
Top nine

You used to be able to get a free version with watermark. Not anymore? Lame

Easy to use!
I’ve used this app for years. It’s straightforward and easy to use.
not working
would not load last night or this morning even after i deleted and reinstalled
Cool app
Cool!
Not a free app
Has no use as a free app. Forces you to pay
Love Top Nine
I love doing this insta recap every year !
FAKE app - not free
This is not the real top 9 app. The real free one is “Top Nine 2025 for Instagram”. This one makes you pay no matter what, which is stupid. Don’t download

Kinda works, but not accurate
I had to try multiple times to get it to load the results, but the half the results are wrong. I have a post with over 3500 likes which is not there. And another post with over 2000 likes which is not on the Top 9 collage. And several posts over 1500, but three of the nine Top 9 are posts with less than 1000 likes.
Meh
Doesn’t even let you pick from all your photos
Worth it
This app is so easy to use, and I love the memories it brings with it.
Not free?
I thought this was a free app. It is trying to charge me $4 to get my results.

Ok
2023 update
Asking me to pay again after an update. Nope.
Facebook top 9 would be better
.
Top 9
Love this every year!
Pay to play
No option to save or post the results without paying to “unlock” the center photo.
Good
It worked for me
Paid for the app
I paid for the app but now I’m being asked to pay again. Why?
ウォーターマーク付きなら無料
ウォーターマークを外すには課金。気にならないなら無料。 入れるのはインスタのIDのみで、パスワードやメアドの情報は入力不要です。 Tap here if you don’t…
NYE tradition!
I love doing top nine each 12/31 so I can look back!
Not free
It calculates your top nine posts, then makes you rate them on the App Store to see the results, then won't show you all of them or your total likes unless you pay $4. Scam.
Good
Good Work
Not Really My Top Nine
All it’s doing is showing the last nine things I posted, and I know for a fact they aren’t my most liked posts of the year - just go onto Instagram and look at your most engaged posts of the year. You’ll have more luck.
Top nine photos & number of likes and nothing more
It’s great for finding the top nine photos and how many like if that’s what you want. I couldn’t make a video including downloading another top nine app specifically for making a video. It will only create the top nine photos
Cool app
Cool to see what posts were popular with friends this year.
Bleh
I can’t even use the app without paying now?
Buena
Buena!
Not worth the money
For the last few years have used a website called Best9 for Instagram. Had to pay £2.49 this year, fair enough. Paid the fee & unlocked the grid to see my best 9 for my business page. Some of the images it’s chosen aren’t a square crop, so therefore it’s just cropped the image to a square from anywhere it likes & hence the photo looks horrible in the grid. There’s no way of altering the crop to centre the image either. Really annoying & I won’t be sharing the post as it makes my work (as a photographer) look shoddy. Disappointed.

Fast
This is a great app, super fast and accurate
Not free anymore
Well so much for top 9, you can’t see all images or like amounts without paying. I’m not ever using this again.
Nice app ro end the year
Nice!
Disappointed But Not Surprised
Good service, but you now have to pay $4.00 for one image when the results used to be at no cost. Now you only see 8 of your posts unless you pay.
O app é bom, mas...
A função de editar as fotos não está funcionando.
Yearly Recaps Are Fun
Look forward to this every year.
Hard pass
The app makes you rate it before you even use it and then it makes you pay $3.99 to download the results and I wasn’t using the pro

Charges
Looks all good then springs a payment upon you. Not worth it. There are ways to do it for free easily enough.
