I assumed The Birdcage was a free game with “in app” purchases, but once I downloaded and opened the app, it goes directly to purchase options. I immediately deleted it and I won’t by using Mobiplay games.
Too short
Kept my interest. Graphics are decent. Only 26 levels tho, and puzzles were relatively easy so I was done with it pretty quickly.

Lovely intro to escape game beginners
This is a nicely illustrated, animated and designed game that I would recommend to all beginners of the escape game genre. It teaches you some common mechanics and puzzles used in other such games. Although there is a bit of progression in difficulty, the puzzles are not difficult compared to what you will find in more advanced games, so it’s a fun and relaxing experience. Only the first two levels are free, and additional ones are a dollar or more each (one reason I dropped it down one star). But I see there are at least three separate Birdcage games available, so you can get a good number of free puzzles to work on, though the difficulty level does seem to plateau pretty early. You can also set the game to Augmented Reality (AR) mode, but the normal setting is perfectly fine. The only criticisms I have are that the backstory and what seems to be a side story are irrelevant to playing, and the drawings in the side story envelopes are quite awful (strange given how nicely the game itself is rendered).

The graphics are beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed this game and have finished all the achievements, except the last one. It says to finish the cage in “AR” mode. What is “AR” Mode?

Beautiful but short and simple
Gameplay is very similar to The Room and House of da Vinci but with a brighter aesthetic: naturalistic, intuitive controls, pretty visuals, and soothing music. However, the puzzles are much easier (only the final few levels approach the challenge of those two series) and it takes a small fraction of the time. Quick and fun, absolutely ideal for younger players who want to do puzzle games but maybe found those other titles too challenging. I will play the sequel for sure.

Need more levels for the money
Paid the “no ad” upgrade and then the levels dropped off after the dove level, Was disappointed in that. Felt like for $5.00 upgrade the levels should continued further. Such as ongoing past the ones shown. I liked the design and loved the puzzle aspect of the game. But I agree with other reviewers that think as the levels went on the puzzles should’ve gotten more difficult as well but not just end and then start another “The Birdcage 2” that’s going to do the same thing. Not paying for the levels past the crow level(Free) in Birdcage 2 because for $6.00 to have it end after the 4th bird level is not worth the money. If it was ongoing and didn’t also involve spiritism then I might consider it but Birdcage 2 went to a dark side and am not impressed. Loved, Loved, Loved The Birdcage and would play it if more levels were added to it, but will not move ahead with The Birdcage 2 past the free levels. Don’t like the direction the story went or the fact that it’s more $$ to come to and end as well! Do better developers! 😔😔
Quick fun.
This first one has been easy, hoping that The Birdcage 2 & 3 are a bit more challenging. Just my opinion, I am a puzzle lover.
Birdcage
The birdcage is good, but when you finish all of the things it doesn’t give you anymore. That is one thing that I don’t like. I have to do everything that I’ve already completed over and over again and I’m not very happy about that. Sometimes I go to the birdcage so I can relax but then when I finish everything and I go to the next one when I finish all of them, there are no more and so I don’t know what to do. I always just do them over and over again. It’s not the best but I like the birdcage other than that it’s really good. It’s calming. It’s challenging, but it really gives me something to set my mind to thank you.
Rubbish, bought it twice and still wants me pay again.
I bought this through family sharing, it would not allow this. Stupidly I bought it again, another £4.99. When I try to open the game it wants me to buy it again. Fraudulent practice!
Some levels don’t work
The game is fun and all but some levels don’t work. when I turn the key it doesn’t unlock. The game is quite easy but it’s still fun to play. I’d say it’s for 6-9 year olds. That’s all.
Too expensive
Good graphics and fun but you have to pay for every new level after the first two. While I don’t mine paying a little, paying for every level is too much. Way too expensive !
Game Not Fair But Graphics Are Nice
The game isn’t that fair. You only get 2 packs and have to pay for the rest of them. This isn’t fair because I am not allowed to buy anything. All of the packs should be free in my opinion. Graphics are smooth and nice, but I want to be able to solve new packs. My only wish is that you (the Creators of this game) can make all of the packs free. I don’t want to have to keep downloading new apps because I don’t want my phone to crash. So please, please make all of the packs free. I’m also fine with just watching ads to unlock the packs you need to pay for.

Please don’t waste your money. Puzzles are way too easy and are ridiculously obvious. It is not worth $7.00 at all. People compare this to The Room, but there’s no comparison. If you want a challenge, don’t buy.

Similar to the game called The Room, the graphics and animation are very good....BUT, unlike The Room, the puzzles are just not very challenging or difficult. The game is best suited for 7-10 year old children. As well, at $6.99, it is over priced for the amount of game play.
Fantastic game But
I love escape games but I have something to say about this one if you have ads don’t make us pay for the rest make us watch an ad after every level and let us play the entire game you still get the same amount of money and it makes it more enjoyable instead of cutting it off halfway

Impossible to complete level 8
I’m totally unable to align the key with the lock as the last step in unlocking the cage in level 8. The app constantly enlarges the wrong part of the cage. Frustrating.

I bought this game thinking there would be more levels than just 25 levels. Absolutely NOT WORTH IT!!! When you pay $7 for an App, you expect to get much more out of it. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
