Great for puzzle lovers
This is great for puzzle lovers. Makes you think, no two puzzles are the same Challenging but solvable. My only suggestion would be to add a hint when you think you have solved the all the puzzles. A clue as to which one is wrong and a second hint as to how to solve it if asked.
Missing graphics on iPad
The graphics for many of the boxes’ interactive features like buttons, squares, etc. that you are required to click/operate don’t appear even after rebooting my iPad. First time it happen was very frustrating as of course I couldn’t interact with the game. Finally resorted to looking up a YouTube video and saw that my screens were missing key graphic components. Clicking on were the buttons were supposed to be did eventually work, but the game is essentially unplayable.

Love it. Not too hard, but certainly not too easy. Momma bear is playing just right.
Whoa
What happened to the “Original” game? It was beautiful and challanging, but fun. This is nothing like it, which stinks bc I paid for the game bc of the preview photos. You shud have the Icon Photo too…. Prob will delete now, darn it. It was a Fabulous Game and Beautiful.

Great game
Premium pack purchase DOES NOT WORK
Bought the “Premium pack” for all four games thinking less money and easier to move through games. WRONG. Finished first set and when I got to the second set could only play first two boxes then wants me to pay $4.99 to keep playing! Tried to “Restore Purchase” but just has the screen blink on and off. On a good note, I contacted support and they promptly replied, twice, but after showing them the problem they said it was an Apple Store problem (within the app??). Said if they (Apple) charged me they would refund on PayPal. Ok but what happens on the third set, then the fourth…. What a pain. Repeat and request refund wait and track. Repeat. What a pain. The game is ok and nice time waster. Nothing too deep. I want to keep playing and would not give 1 star except for the restore purchase problem. Another issue is that the game does not remember your progress (except completed ones). If you start a box and are part way through and stop you need to start all over. Also does not even translate that over to a different device, start all over for all. Used to be games connected through Apple and always remember but not here. They said the last two games of the series do have a “memory” of progress but not the first two. Seems like they would fix that. Not sure what I am going to do for this second set just don’t want to pay and wait for a “ refund”. Especially to have to repeat that for two more. Frustrated.
Simple but lovely graphics
So, I’m on a puzzle binge & just discovered your Mystery Box collection. It’s so nice to see lovely clean graphics, not sure that’s the correct term, with mechanical puzzles to solve, I’m sure they’ll progressively become more demanding. As I use my iPad with my games I’ve not come across the ‘Back’ arrow before, I generally pinch the screen to zoom out so that’s been something different for me to grasp….. so to speak. My selection of games keep me company when I find myself ‘out of action’ due to a long term injury. Happy discovery for me, off to exercise my brain some more. Thanks.
Frustrated
Everything was fine and I was up to the Pearl Box Pack when there was an update and all my progress was lost. I restarted at the Metal Box and even though all levels are 2/2, the game says I am missing a tile. Of course it doesn't say which one. One more try and that is it for me. Nice game otherwise.
Glitch in black box level 8
I’m enjoying this game but when I complete level 8, it isn’t registering and still marks it as 0/2 so I can’t continue to the final puzzle. Other than that frustrating glitch, I’m enjoying the game and would give it 4.5-5 stars rather than 3
Good Value
Well worth the cost. As a very casual gamer I like games like this that you can do at whatever speed you want with no timers or other pressure.
Not impressed
Tried to get a hint. Watched 2 ads and was given the hint of “after you solve the puzzles, push the big button.” Yeah, real helpful there - THAT PART WAS OBVIOUS. Next ad gave a hint, but it flashed on the screen and disappeared before it could be read. Hints must stay long enough to read. Next ad-watching revealed the same hint as the first time of pushing the big button. Seriously, all this developer did was rig the game such that you’re watching ad-revenue more than actually playing it. And don’t ask for a hint or you’ll be in an ad loop that you can’t escape from. This needs to be fixed. I’m deleting this one. There are too many good puzzle games out there that don’t do this.
Some important features missing
I'm finding that I’m having to get help on some because there are some buttons that are missing in the game (for example, I just had to look at the walk through for the wooden box because I could not figure out how to move the round pieces; turns out the walkthrough had buttons not shown in game). It's not the first time finding missing components that the walkthrough had, or had differently than what is shown. The game is pretty. There is no storyline, though. The boxes, once you understand the general premise, are fairly simple to solve. Would like more challenges, additional layers, and more parts to discover, then use later, etc. It's a good start; it feels like a college kid’s first try at this type of game design.
Hidden secrets
The big secret seems to be how to make the game work!! I got through the first two boxes (having paid for the full set) then on the third (Black) Box, I can’t get No 2 to accept any press on one face, and on No 7 not a single face will work so I’ve given up. At some stage I may try the odd box (if it works) but I’d be dubious about paying for other XScoder games.

Pearl box level 6(?)
There is a puzzle on the side, moving gears. You have to get the ball bearing from one end of the puzzle to the other on this level. Every time you hit the gear, it bounces out of the box and on top and you have to exit out of the game and come back into the game that is the only problem my phone otherwise this game is a wonderful game.
解けた時の爽快感がない
箱の側面３つの謎解きをして 全部の謎がちゃんと解けてたら 正面のボタンを押すとクリア（箱が開く）。 ただ、延々とそれが続いて特にストーリー的なものもないので飽きます。 難易度も微妙というか、「あ これが正解なの」って感じのがあるから 「解けたーー！」って気持ちよさがない… グラフィックはなかなか素敵で、背景に流れるちょっと不穏なBGMもいい感じなので 没入できる要素があるといいのになぁ。

Enjoyed many of the puzzles but with a few I completed and discovered 16 pieces but then still can’t access the final puzzle

I really like this type of game and bought the premium pack after the first level. However, some of the hints are missing and there doesn’t seem to be any way to make them show up. I click on hint and nothing happens. I go to a different level and it works. Then another level and it won’t work. Very frustrating.

Mystery Box — Hidden Secrets, Evolution and the Room as well — are all enjoyable games. Most puzzles moderately difficult, but a few required the built-in hint to solve. I wrote developer for advice to solve one of the last boxes in the final stage of the room — received response w/in a day! (ty). I look forward to the next app in the mystery box series! peace ✌️

Some easy, some hard
Started out good but I guess someone decided to mix things up. Either you got simple visuals as clues, or you had to figure out why only certain symbols were the correct ones with no clues at all. I got tired of the trial and error method of solving. Guess that’s a good thing as the game stopped working on level 5 of the black box level. Reloading didn’t help.

Fun, addictive puzzles. Worth the purchase price. Looking forward to playing the rest of the series.

The levels feed you a couple simple ones, but then you reach puzzles where there is no way to know what to do without a hint. I am an escape/puzzle veteran. I have been playing this type of game since before this App Store existed. This isn’t even moon logic, this is no logic at all.
Pretty Good, Tips for a Next Game
Like the title says, this game is pretty good! I play a lot of similar-type puzzle games, and this one has an overall fun user experience between the regular box puzzles and finding all the hidden clues. One big critique is that there's no real "hint" system, just the video that shows you what to do. It would be nice to get smaller hints that don't give away the entire puzzle.

Lots of potential
I like this game so far. The puzzles are challenging and you really do have to think outside the box. However, I agree with other reviews that the “hint” does not help you understand how to solve the puzzle, it just shows you the answer. It would be nice to have some text to explain the reasoning behind the answer so you understand what you should have done. Or any system of better hints than just a walkthrough that shows how to pass the level. Too many ads, although I know you can pay to remove them. Why can’t the ads be limited to asking for a hint? Would make the game less frustrating. Otherwise beautifully designed game, well done devs
Maddening
Only the developer can possibly understand the ridiculous, illogical reasoning behind these devious puzzles. Even watching the clues helps bot a bit to get the reasoning. I’m sure the developer is quite pleased with themselves, BUT most players will NOT get it. I have way, way too many more important things to do than waste hours trying to decipher this game.

Most puzzles don’t make logical sense. Don’t waste your time watching ads to get hints- You’ll just get a walkthrough without any explanation
Pretty solid
Some puzzles are easy, some are crazy difficult and the hints don’t always help because it’s hard to see what buttons are being pressed in the hint video. Overall though, it’s a fun way to pass the time if you enjoy puzzle games
