Absolute garbage
Came back to give you another 1 star because this app is so trash and frustrating
Good except
I've noticed that if you program the light to turn on as a certain color, then change color or perform some other action, and then turn off, it will forget all the steps in between turning on and off.
No longer can connect controller to wifi
Used to work just fine. Now it doesn’t let you pair the wifi to the controller.
Random light turn ons
So I brought these as they are more energy efficient than the last. Works great, brighter and more durable. Only issue is I set a timer for them to turn off at night. But normally 1 hour prior to auto turn off they change to a random colour and brightness at 100% (which is very bright if you own these led lights) This always happens Daily. Other than that the product is well designed and has a good stick to normal walls.
Last long
I got them over three ago , and the light bulbs last for a long period and it works perfectly fine even I change color frequently
Agitation.
The power supplies go bad now they are off line and I can’t reconnect them I have an 70 gal aquarium without lights now.
Works really well but…
App works fine as is no problem however would like to see a feature where you can set it to turn lights on at sunset with if possible an option to offset the time before or after sunset. Would be handy for all year round.
Controller
Controller on my phone sucks! Had the app for about a year, now whenever I use the app it shows that the light is offline despite my light strip being on.
Great app! Having issues now
I originally gave this app 5 stars. I have several bulbs and LED lights throughout my home all controlled through the Magic Home app. However lately, mostly the bedroom lights keep turning on by themselves. Sometimes 5-10 times a day at random. Also periodically they completely disconnect from the wifi. It’s not fun to be woken up in the middle of the night because the bulbs turned on at 100%. Then to make things worse it’s a hassle to reconnect them to wifi. It no longer works from the app. It’s always say’s “device not found.” I have to select the device through the Wifi menu on my phone. I’m seriously debating getting rid of them after 5 years. It’s upsetting because I love the app and that’s it compatible with my LED lights. Everything is up to date and I have great wifi coverage so I don’t believe that’s the issue. I have had two LED bulbs I got for Christmas about five years ago so I already had the Magic home app on my phone. Those bulbs are still working great. I recently decided to order a set of four new bulbs to replace my family room and bedroom lights. I wanted to have the whole house setup with RGB LED lights and be able to control everything though Siri. I didn’t realize the ones I ordered also worked with the Magic home app which made me very happy. Today I was able to setup all six bulbs. I have to say I’m very happy with the outcome. I enjoy having set groups for each room. I also love the ability to use shortcuts for Siri. I actually have 3 separate scenes for the family room. One to turn on full brightness, one for low lights when watching movies, and one that uses RGB for parties. I can even set up different patterns for each specific bulb. I also use the timers function to turn on/off specific bulbs at different times at night when I’m out of town. This gives the appearance of someone being in the house. Overall I’m very happy with the bulbs and the Magic home app. There are several new features that have been added over time. Plus they have great customer service if someone is having an issue.
Controls My Smart Bulb
Controls my Smart Bulb providing so many color combinations and options. Well done. The only problem I encountered was changing the name of the Bulb’s assigned network name to one of my choosing. On my iPhone 13 Pro Max I can enter the new name via the apps back screen. However, the phone’s keyboard does not disappear when I press “next” preventing me from accessing the Confirm button. Hence I’m unable to change the name. Hope you can correct this software bug. Thanks

It doesn’t work and it always says the connection failed. Absolutely terrible app, garbage.
Can’t change light color
I purchased the wifi adapter to go with the Lominie Asta 120 aquarium light. It doesn’t change the color of the light for plants and to bring out the color of fish
Not working
Worked fine for a little while. Now the app won’t connect to the lamp. The lamp will connect to my phone, but the app won’t pair to the device. Not sure what went wrong. Just unpaired on its own and won’t connect back now

I don’t understand why so many low reviews. This app works great!!!! I can control my lights from anywhere whenever I want. I currently have 4 sets and brought 2 more sets. And yes I have had them for years!!!

Good app that does everything you need it to. Simple to use but not the neatest design. Even better after the recent update adding widgets back again to make turning on and off the light fast again instead of going into the app

they removed functionality
this app used to have a sunset/sunrise timer option, so you could gradually increase the brightness over time, they removed that and now it’s just on/off

App isn’t bad but the light connectors are substandard
Whomever that made the connectors did not plan on long term use. After the lights have been up for a couple of years, the pins slide out of the connector to the white Wi-Fi power connector, losing contact and power

The BEST smart bulb app!
I have been very happy with this app for at least THREE YEARS! Many smart bulb apps exist, but few are as clean and efficient as this one. App works via internet or just local LAN, as well. When you’re shopping for smart bulbs, make sure they support this app. Makes all the difference. Avoid Tuya and Popotan!
The worst
It's turns off whenever it wants. It disconnects making it IMPOSSIBLE to reconfigure. It's asking me to go to a specific WiFi. It never populates. I hit reset ,it's not helpful. I delete the app, reinstall the app. Create a new account and in no way shape or form does this work. Completely horrid
Bathroom leds
Most of the time they work excellent, they run around the bathroom skirting, but every now and again they shut down and I need to either reset the wee control box or in one case replace it, but it’s worth it cause it lights up the whole room which I love so I’m good with it.
This app needs updating badly
I love my lights and I love when they are doing what I want but here lately they come on in the middle of the day not at the scheduled time. UPDATE THIS APP.
It’s fine
It’s honestly not so bad. It does control my led bar and allow me to pick my colors or functions. However the app is not bug free. After 3 years my led bar is still showing offline in the all when it’s actually online (at least I can use the “turn off” on all devices to turn it down. Also sometimes when I activate functions i’m having a hard time deactivating them.

Ive been using this app for well over 5 years and I can confidently say its the best!
Nothing magical about the app
Apple Shortcuts have only one option and it’s in chinese. Navigating around the app is frustrating. It’s difficult to find what you’re looking for. app support in App Store leads to dead link.
Ok
Not as slick as some lighting apps. Timer function is fiddly setting on and off. Do like you can set sequence, although most default to last sequence. Having trouble with one set of lights that have disconnected from WiFi and can’t seem to reset to factory setting. Would be good for hints and tips section…
Light doing it’s own thing
I have a light that turns on when it wants despite being on a timer. I turn it off several times during the day and it just keeps coming back on. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the light but nothing seems to fix it.
Frustrating, needs work
The app is difficult to get working with the smart lamp, and eventually worked through trial and error. Widgets don’t work, Siri can only use a single scene and there’s no HomeKit support at all.

New router and lights no longer connect.
I connected a new router and now I am unable to connect the lights to the new network. The temporary WiFi network does not show in my list of available WiFi networks to select from. My phone is connected to the main home network on the 2.4 GHZ band. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled.
Good app but flaws
Managed set up all my devices but can’t see to find a way to change the order of the devices in my Home Screen
Extremely difficult to connect.
This app makes connecting lights to the wifi as difficult as pulling your own teeth out. It randomly disconnects the light from my device just to make me spend the next few hours trying to reconnect it with my wifi. Would give the light a one star, but when it does decide to finally connect after a month or two of struggle and annoying flashes of bright white light, the colors are fun to adjust and very nice, as well as the brightness options. Overall, a waste of time and would honestly be faster and more convenient to cover my home in LED strips and use a remote; would work faster than the connection.

Yh it’s a amazing app and works extremely well. Would give it 5 stars but the only thing i can’t get it to do is strobe flash like fast?? so if i developer could help me that would be great?! 😅

This app works great for my LED strip lights. There’s a lot of fun lighting features and I can now impress people over at my house with them because of the cool lighting features! A small problem was that I had a little trouble setting them up but I figured it out and they work great! Thanks for whoever made this app!😊
All failed this week
All bulbs, outlets—everything failed this week. Items have power, but chips seem to no longer connect or even be visible to home systems. Went from fully automated home to fully manual home overnight. Serves me right, I suppose.
It’s ok
The apps ok but a bit lacking it needs sun set and sun rise rather than just time settings and it’s supposed to work with rgbw and I’m haveing trouble getting my cw working and I could do with getting both whites working at the same time for a bit of extra brightness.
Third party pairing
Please add 3rd party pairing so that people are able to turn their lights off and on, so on, through alexa or google
Clunky and basic
Does the basics but really needs a sunset/sunrise/timed function. My outdoor lighting comes on at sunset and off at midnight. Can’t do that with this app.

I love that you can change it to any colour and it is compatible with Alexa.
Goes offline without reason
I had three separate incidents where the app said my bulbs were offline and it took 35-90 minutes to get them up and running just for them to go offline a few days later. I contacted support twice and got an automated response saying that someone would contact me. A week later I received two emails saying since they hadn’t heard from me they were closing the tickets and thanks for the feedback. The next bulbs I purchase I will make sure that they don’t need this app.
Remote not working
I bought this strip light back in May , only just unboxed it , the remote isn’t working , I have changed the battery. The strip light is lovely and worked well No the remote isn’t working
Not good anymore
It used to be good but along time it started getting bad now I can’t control anything that I already had on it
sometimes glitchy
the app was fine at first but after a while it keeps on disconnecting from the lights and doesn’t let me re connect , the app is so good except when this happenes and it’s happening a lot recently and now only one controller works
