Fix your code. Glitchy to the point of being unusable now. You owe me may credits for garbage races lost due to unresponsive garbage software.
PLEASE improve the HUD and UI
What REALLY needs development is the HUD and UI. For the HUD, the wind sock is TINY, and it can be hard to tell if the VMG is good with it sometimes. A slider in the settings to make it bigger would be great and make it more accessible to everyone. For the UI, I would LOVE if I could rearrange the button layout, make them small, make them big, etc, and place them where I want on the screen to interact with. The only UI option is to mirror the controls (turning & tack/luff). The game is great. I enjoy the physics, boats, and tactics. I think there’s a lot of potential in just allowing players to have a more customizable game experience. (Also a first person view mode would be sick) Love the game.
Could be good, but it sucks
The game physics are OK. Overall the game blows. It could be great if the devs fixed the obvious bugs. 1. First issue: The game has a terrible understanding of Racing Rules of Sailing. Downwind specifically. It allows players to just jibe into you and you get fouled. It does not understand overlap rules and does not understand windward/leeward. Need major fix. Fix: First, fix the games understanding of the rules. Second, I recommend the game slow down BOTH players in the event of a collision. Not only is this more realistic, but it would stop incentivizing people to draw fouls the whole game. Game is essentially just who can out foul the next boat. 2. The game does not know where the starting line is. It’s about a quarter boatlength off. I have many videos of me being clear but the game calling me over if the devs want it. 3. The game does not understand the physics of being on “bad air”. If I’m going 5kts downwind on a laser, a boat that is 3 boat lengths to leeward of me is not affecting my breeze at all. Certainly not to the degree the game says (1 knot slower)
Good game, lots of cheats
I like this game a lot, it’s fun to play, however the blatant cheating that occurs due to people purposely sailing into you is so unbelievably frustrating. You can be catching someone downwind by sailing above them and they will just slew up into wind to cause you to take a penalty as windward boat. There should either be some way the developers can add to penalise those who blatantly take advantage of the rules, or a way to protest with it being peer reviewed at the end of the race for example. Developers!! Add a protest option, I would happily watch a 10-15 second clip of a protest and vote on it at the end in the interests of fair racing!
The closest spiritual successor to SailX
Still missing rules like proper course and a more tactical 2d view would be great. Also boats accelerate too fast. But still good enough to think about the fundamentals of wind shifts
Truly toxic and terrible
I was playing and a bunch of boats break the rules to win the game, it glitches and I was one starboard and a port boat hit me and I got the foul. Everyone always purposely hits you l if you are windward and the only way to win is to cheat or pay. It’s not fair. Vr offshore is way better. Don’t waist your time on this game it will only make you mad.

Great game , poor rewards
I love this game , I’d give it 5 for playability,however the lack of green tokens awarded makes it 100% pay to win , to the extend it degrades my rating by two full stars .I’d recommend awarding one green token minimum per race , or make auto vmg standard . As for the blue tokens , after 300 races you may be able to afford to have a blue boat instead of red … kinda poor

Great game, tough rules
Its the same idea as racing games where people will lose lap time just to wreck you. If time doesnt matter and were neck and neck 10/10 times im expecting an intentional foul. If both vessels were penalized but the protest vessel got the smaller foul, I beleive it would better simulate a “crash” that neither party wanted. Hopefully this would cut down on intentional fouls, sailing rules don’t work if youre allowed to crash lol

One of the most annoying games
I really want to like it. Boats pointing higher and faster around you, while you’re on the VMG mode. Instantaneous gybes onto Starboard causing fouls. People just luffing you up on the faster boat to get a foul on you. Mark roundings where the inside boat causes the foul? I try to play it but it just gets frustrating. Just in case you’re about to say learn to sail/race. I was a professional racer from Lasers, J-24s, Farr 40s, solings to offshore races.

Overal good, needs some fixes
Very good racing, but the steering is atrocious: seriously man, just give us a tiller. Also, they’ve added team racing, which is very fun, but they’ve not added the actual team racing course.
Shame, used to be great
Played this for years and loved it. However, latest updates have been so glitchy it’s unplayable. Wind shifts 50/60 degrees. Boat switches direction without command. Shame

Ugh, the wonderful world of online gaming…
This would be a really good and fun simulator if: 1. It used actual, real world racing rules. It’s very over-simplified, particularly in windward/leeward situations and completely ignores how the leeward position is established. This leads to: 2. Players have figured out how to utilize this loophole and round up aggressively to force a penalty. I would say 85% of races has at least one or more players doing this and it just destroys the experience. This game would be five stars if the developers would fix this issue.

Cheating players !
This game allows for players to cheat and make you get penalised on purpose enabling them to win a penalty against you even if you try to avoid them, it’s based on allowing cheating to be accepted and in the spirit of sailing no fairness.

Could Be Great But Set Up For Pay2Play Makes It Boring
Game is unstable loading so that is a big problem and it semi-regularly takes your coins but does not enter you into the race. This could be a great sailing game as there are so few available but you can buy so many helps that the AI is mostly sailing your boat. Get rid of VMG and time to line options to make it more challenging and level the playing field. Steering your boat correctly is the biggest challenge in racing. Would also be nice if you could pick one boat, e.g. Laser or that hydrofoiling cat and just race it without having to register yourself. $8.99/month is a ridiculous price point for VIP in this game.
Good app but several issues
-The app crashes quite often, I can’t finish or even start a race , but they still debit my token account. Not cool - a number of time I received penalty for no reason. Granted I was close to the start line or to another boat, but didn’t cross early and complete maneuver without forcing the other to alter course. It seems like there’s a mismatch between the visual and the actual size of boat - I m playing in an iPhone and the app closed on me many times during a race when I m pressing the buttons to close to the bottom of the screen. App interprets as swiping up to close the app. It’s too sensitive, or button position is too close to the bottom edge

Addicting- lots of bugs- bugs lose customer tokens
I love this game but there are so many things I did not notice at first that make it hard to get really good. I probably race 2 to 7 times a day if I’ve got 10 minutes. I lose about 10 tokens a day and sometimes more due to glitches(-$). Starting line needs fixed with penalties over the line early being to harsh to continue racing for a top 7 in a 10 minute race,(unless your on a foiling hull with good tactics). I can’t stop racing though, can’t wait for no bugs. Other than $costly bugs and jacktards who battle for 10th when I’m trying to drink beer, the racing is REAL⛵️⚓️🍻🥴🏴
BUG - I have lost a lot of money
I've lost a lot of money with this game. it has a bug that when you click near the corner of the application window it moves as if it were going to close and the connection is lost and you are disconnected from the regatta losing the time that was in the regatta plus the coins you put to play the regatta with more resources. it has been like this for many years and no one fixes this bug. It's the only game I've seen that does this. should position the buttons higher up and not let the application lose connection. It's very frustrating!!! sometimes if you are in a good position then press the turn button and the application moves and loses the connection. frustrating and makes you lose money!

Great game, could improve
This game is very fun and I am a sailor myself so I actually use this for strategy and start practice every day. There could be improvements with stuff like the wind dynamics, it could change depending on the geography of the location with the frequency and magnitude of the shifts. They could also improve on content a bit, i would like some great sailing locations like Miami, lake garda, Marblehead, Bodrum, Nassau, and marl de plata in the game. I would also like to see boats like optimist dinghy’s because a lot of players in this game are optimist sailors, also moths, 420s, 29ers, and open skiffs. Finally I would like to see the course variety’s improved a little more, both on length because we could get some realistic sailing on upwinds as long as 15 minutes instead of 2, and also courses like the triangle course, the trapezoid course, and some others. Thank you for viewing and keep up the good work.
How do you practice?
I spent an hour or so with this app and completed the very basic drills . I wanted to try and sail around a practice course but was not able to figure out how to do this. I didn’t want to pay and join a race until I understood how to at least read the course. No luck, too bad, this app looks like it would be great fun once you are over the learning curve.

Very good but needs better controls and the wind physics are only OK. Also, can you add more of a ship customization feature? This is a very good game/app an I think anyone should get it.
Horrible Penalty System
Wish I could give this game a better rating, but I just can’t. It is a fun game to play and really is interesting, but the penalty system absolutely ruins it. So many players have bad sportsmanship and will intentionally crash into your boat and give you a penalty. It is absolutely outrageous, and I deleted the game because of it. This has happened at least twice in every single one of my races. Fix it, and I will redownload.
Not realistic
It’s the best there is out there. I’m a sailor, I’ve raced, I’ve played video games — this is more game than sailing. You can’t run over your competitors on the water — or things get wet for everyone real fast. They just need to think about the rules and what they’ve created — there has to be a better balance in how the games handles allowing one boat to just sail through another... for me, it was fun, but I had to delete the game because I just lost interest.

Pretty good. Some things could be better
Pretty cool game but the controls can sometimes be a little glitchy which can send you to the back of the fleet real fast. Overall it’s pretty fun and somewhat realistic.
Core concept is good, but lacking in so many ways.
The Good: this is an enjoyable racing game that has some real-world feel in tactics and strategy. It is definitely helping giving me some mental exercise in thinking about whole course thinking during pandemic and subsequent real-world sailing. The Feature Request: - Race Replay: If I could save/replay races, even reduced to the 2D map, this would be invaluable. I would be happy with this being a VIP feature. Any method of highlighting the good/bad from a race as well - like a Play of the Game, to let me see where the big gains were made. The Bad: - Rules Implementation: There seems to be some issues here around the idea of opportunity to keep clear leading to competitors using the rules as a cudgel. There are spots where the give way and keep clear boat switch very quickly without a clear reason. - Controls: Having one button for each direction with no adjustable sensitivity leads to situations where maneuvering is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. There are far better control schemes out there for mobile games touch interfaces; using a gesture type slider with proportional control would be helpful to improve maneuvering. - The layout of action buttons (tack/gybe, vmg, luff, spin) could be clustered in a square rather than across the bottom of the screen, or provide the option to rearrange. Separate tack/gybe controls or actions (such as hold and flick up/down), as well as VMG upwind/downwind, spinnaker hoist/douse buttons would help avoid unintentional actions that ruin races. - Pay to Win: The monetization scheme feels all wrong. To pay for VIP features but still require further payment for reliable access to race help and design boosts is frustrating. To pay this much for a game that has such issues with controls, crashes/lags, rules implementation, and the fact that it feels like it hasn’t received significant improvements to keep it up to mobile gaming standards in 2021 is frustrating.
Sail control
I would like to see more sail control options. A lot of time if feels like you have to sail 90 degrees to the wind in order to move.
Really lovable and enjoyable
So I’m a actual person that sails irl, and I think there is some real potential in this game for teaching, and some may complain since even if you hit a boat or foul someone you don’t have to spin, you just kind of slow down and phases through whatever the foul was, but in reality it’s just making the game more fun and here’s an example why the phasing through can actually be funny. Also before I give you the reason you can make specific races just to race friends, and family. Let’s say you are playing with your family. And randomly you decide to just speed up and absolutely ram the judges boat and just slow down a lot, everybody will be laughing. I highly recommend this game for anybody that likes to do racing games or actually sails or teaches how to sail in irl. I really hope you enjoy this game to, chicken out( chicken out is not actually being afraid, but my sailboat name is Poisonous Chicken in irl, and I just thought it would be funny!

Simple, the cheats cause you to be penalised and they ruin it, they know who they are.
Good except with protests
The sailing and racing is amazing, however The rules system is completly broken. There is no penalties for giving room for duck, room to tack etc, and sometimes you will be given a penalty even thought you are the right of way boat. Completly ruins the game that there is no protest system and u are just given a penalty.
Simple upgrade
Make two buttons. Vmg upwind and vmg downwind. It’s annoying to duck someone and to hit the vmg button which sends you straight down wind... feel like this is something you can make as an option but would be preferred by tons of people!
