Great Game but annoying glitch
This is my favorite game but one about a week ago I dropped in on a wave and swapped my controls so side to side controls my turns and whatever I do I can’t switch it back. Let me know if there’s any way to fix this.
Fix the bugs PLEASE
[Update] Since being on iOS 26, it does this less frequently. It still happens but it’s rare. Now on snapper rocks, im stuck on mission 2, for almost 1 year because even though the game shows me I caught much more air than necessary, the mission keeps saying I still need to do that air. This is tooo long for something to be broken [/Update] Im so sick of wasting Perfect Storms because of a silly bug that has been present for at least one year, probably two years. I’ve written to true axis support about this, a long time ago. Sometimes, when I try to open settings to change something (usually intending to turn off auto drop-in, or change the control sensitivity), rather than settings opening, a tutorial begins to play. When I choose to exit the tutorial (by saying yes, skip the tutorial) my Perfect Storm has ended. Even if I just started it several seconds before. This isn’t the only bad effect of this bug - it also resets my HUD settings, and other settings. Not ALL of them. It’s always the same group of settings that are reset. Im #%@!ing sick of it. I’ve even deleted the app, hard reset my phone and reinstalled it, which destroyed my progress, and did not fix the bug. iPhone 11, iOS 18.5. (But this bug has persisted since at least 17.0, maybe iOS 16 even. Im on the latest true surf update. Please help!
Some problems
The camera views can be super wonky; at best highly awkward and at worst; completely obfuscating the view of the surfer. Also issues with seams, such as Margaret River
Best surfing game I have!!!
This game is sooo good but I have 2 problems with it. 1) the the graphics could be better with the waves and the backgrounds. 2) It would also be nice when you hit a perfect storm when the break has really big swell. It gets even bigger like at Nazare instead of 30‘ 80 feet.
Never fix bugs
This game is impossible to progress. For weeks I haven’t been able to complete the air challenges on any of the surf spots i currently have the challenge in. I looked it up and many people also have this problem and their posts are from years ago. The developers put no effort in fixing issues.
Level ups
I feel like leveling up should be a little easier. I have mostly finished the missions, and I’m waiting to level up to get the boards i need to continue. Weekly missions or daily missions, would be great. And an open that all players can rank into. Otherwise the game gets boring.

Been playing the game since nearly the beginning. It’s a great game. There has been some updates in the Middle Ages that almost made me stop playing, but I never did and every update since those times has always been at least small improvements but the past few updates have really been good ones for the most part. I’ve probably invested a couple hundred bucks over the years on clams and storms. I hadn’t updated in a year or better until I updated a couple weeks ago. and have really enjoyed all of the new updates, like the new spots, and the missions with rewards beyond shakas and the new spots, as well as the beta features with the new physics and first person view while surfing. I only learned today that there’s another update with minor bug fixes and the air time adjustment on that mission. Now, with all of that said, the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is this: Over the past 2 or three years I know I’ve completed level 27 at LEAST 5 times. I just completed it again since the update a couple of weeks ago, but I’m still level 27. What gives? I’m not bothered by it enough to effect how how much I want to play, but it would be cool to be able to hit the pro level. Honestly I’d still give it a 5 but I figured 3 would get more attention.
Great Game
This game is awesome. The graphics could be a little better and it would be nice if they added more well-known board companies (Lost, Channel, Islands, JS Industries, etc). It would be cool if there was land in the background too. Overall this game is awesome and worth it. Just needs several additions.
Great game - Ruined by crashes
Amazing game. I have now completed the same mission 3 times with the game crashing and not saving the completion every time. Ruins the experience.
So much better but…
Latest updates have saved this game. But can’t believe you haven’t implemented a simple way to do grabs with airs and it’s still way too easy to punch out the back of the wave when snapping in the pocket. As long as you keep the initial movement more of a carve it keeps you on but sometimes it would feel much better if you could snap vertically especially on the backhand. The feeling of the power and weight of water pushing you back down the face could be so much better. Having said that it is still far and away the best surfing experience outside the real thing.
Too zoomed in while surfing
With the new update, it is too zoomed in while surfing and you can’t see any of the sections in front of you to be able to set up properly. This makes it difficult to get around sections and it’s not even worth playing anymore

Its more fun now because they did but add more places but it would be cool to add more like the Newport wedge and blacks beach and steamer lane and mavericks just add more places.

Awesome but could be better
I’ve been playing this game for 3 months now, and it’s still a blast, but there’s a couple things you could add that would make this game even better. 1st, I think that if there was a feature that allowed people to create there home breaks and use a pre set swell size decided by the player. so I could surf Lake Michigan and anyone can surf their own break if the weather isn’t cooperating. 2nd, I love the graphics, but it’s missing something. For example, the pier at Huntington Beach makes it iconic, but it’s not even visible in the game, I think that this and many others could make the game so much better. I know this is a big ask for ur developers, but I think it’s worth it, as it will draw tons of new players to True Surf. Best, Ross,
Making it a grind
So playing the challenges it’s been made hard and sometime nearly impossible. It’s now frustrating . Was a great surfing game now it ok.
Update Bugs
Since new update after like 90 seconds of surfing the app just closes and erases any mission progress if I reopen. Before that I would pay this game religiously. The way they simulate the motion of the oceans waves is insane, the game is so relaxing and truly beautiful. I paid $2.99/month for the endless perfect waves and no lie, it was freakin addicting haha. I’ll check back in every so often, I’m sure they’ll fix the bug. Just hope it happens before this game like many others falls back into the obscurity of time in between plays and I never play it again lol. Which reminds me, I better cancel the endless waves because it’s an automatically reoccurring subscription

New update
Whenever you come so close to finish a mission it logs you out new update sucks
Pretty Fun….
I like the new graphics, actions are good but, the game keeps glitching out. I’m all up to date on my end. But sucks to almost complete a mission and poof! Glitch yo my home-screen. Meaning, you gotta do all the achievements again but it still glitches out. I hope this gets fixed as this is a great game.
No credit for certain moves
New update is good, but it’s not giving me credit for my 360 airs. If you read, im not the only one.
It’s a little buggy after last update
Love the new challenges and added breaks . I’m having a problem with the app crashing after a wave is completed. Once reopened none of my accomplishments have been saved or logged resulting in a loss of resources spent.
Best surf game
best surf game available, natural feeling controls and satisfying barrels. New update is cool, and a step in the right direction, but I have already bought everything in the shop, and have 450,000 clams only being spent on perfect storms. I really hope that the developers keep the forward momentum going and add new boards, it would be sick to see lost or channel islands, or maybe something a little different like album. It would also be cool to see customization like stomp pads, fins and stickers. The game just doesn’t have any progression for veteran players, but still really fun.
Unlocking surf ranch
Well I finally decided to start playing this game again since they finally added surf ranch. Only problem is they did not fix the game crash on mission 2 at cloud breaks. Everytime you try to do mission 2 it crashes and boots you out. Developers have still not rolled out a fix. The developers should just make surf ranch available since they obviously can’t fix this issue and by compensating players due to unwanted stress trying to pass a mission that is almost impossible because this crash issue, due to developers negligence on this issue. Was all excited but for now I’m just gonna stop playing this game again for a couple years and hope one day the game may decide to fix or compensate players for a unplayable mission or may delete the app due to this depressing issue.
Why does it keep crashing?
Needs another update. Keeps crashing after a minute or two of game play. Best surfing game out there when it works.
Needs something new
I agree definitely need a higher angle for when the surf big, you can’t even see the wave behind the white water. Should add urban surf, so when eveyrwhre is flat still can have somewhere to play. I don’t know what the point of adding waikiki it’s always flat plenty of other surf spots around the world could’ve been added.
Glitches
I’ve hade trusurf for a while but recently when I’ve started playing the wave goes invisible when I ride down the left of the wave and it also crashes the app when doing first person and on the highest graphic settings but I love this game just pls someone fix these bugs
Love the game but tricky angle
Could you please change the camera angle for the waiting period. Love the new 1st person POV when surfing bigger breaks, I can’t see the waves when I am waiting to select one or waiting to tap to pop up. Is there anyway I can change this
Cloud break paddle pop-up ride bug
At Cloud break when I try to pop up and ride the wave it glitches out or exits out of the app.
Bug
I don’t know if it’s just me or if it’s a bug but when surfing in Jefferson’s Bay i can’t seem to surf to the right of the wave, I just sink into the water and through the map every time I don’t know why. Other than that, great game
100 ft wave???
Made level 18, have every board I need and have completed every humanly possible mission(85%). Had the game two months and have never seen any of the Hawaiian breaks over 10ft. I’m watching documentaries with jaws at 80ft! Perfect storm upgrade is great!-But it only really adds about 25 to 35% to the real time wave height… Have never seen anything over 28 feet even while using perfect storm. This makes boards like Comp Gun basically redundant. It’s a real shame they aren’t enough resources to keep developers interested in a game like this. With just a couple more iterations, this could be a timeless classic. 45 ft 720 airs on a 100ft wave with the Comp Gun!!!!!!!!!! BRING IT ON !!!!!!!!!!!
FIX MISSION GLITCHES
Please fix your mission glitches, the game is very good, but I can’t go to new surfing spots if my airs and drop ins don’t register for missions. Please fix it

Game Breaking Bug
Game stuck at mission 4/6. I did all perfect drop-ins on the manual drop-in mission and cannot progress.
Add Bodyboarding
I feel like bodyboarding would expand the experience as well as the community. I would be willing to pay extra for a bodyboarding series. I don’t like the other cheap games trying to copy and make bodyboarding. Please consider.
Latest update has broken the game
The game incorrectly registers inputs and often you simply cannot take off on a wave as it won’t register the input when you tap to stand up. Also the sensitivity will seemingly change at random when up and riding. Often a left turn will be registered as a right turn too. It’s unplayable in this state and needs to be updated asap.

this game is fun but a few of the challenges are literally impossible. for example, in rincon i needed 10ft air but the waves were only 1-2ft and a perfect storm didn’t help either. same fore a couple more maps and in order to unlock more locations u have to complete the challenges and that’s where i’m stuck.
A lot of bugs in the new update
The game keeps crashing when I’m doing missions and for some reason it’s only crashing when I’m down to 1 last objective to complete to win a mission. It also crashes repeatedly when I try to do first person.

This game is so bad and they made the cloud real quest impossible so no one can get surf ranch. Absolute trash.
Update is busted
The latest update is trash. Ive landed the "360 air" multiple times and it never registers for the mission, which is needed to open the nxt wave. But it is Surfline so pretty expected
Needs a few changes.
The wait time travelling between spots is a joke. Why would anyone want to wait 12 hours before they can play the game?
Unrealistic
Pros: The waves are beautiful, for the most part. Barrels look amazing. Cons: 1. Over-reliance on gimmick moves (when was the last time anyone did an air reverse 720 at Jaws, or a 20 foot air at J-Bay in real life? How about a 360 air on a 9’ gun at Nazare? The answer is NEVER.) 2. Time in the barrel should not be not as important as how DEEP the surfer gets. 3. Some of the missions are impossible, even with Perfect Storm conditions. We’re supposed to get a 5 second barrel on the new Japan wave, but it’s a closeout every time. We’re supposed to get a 5 foot air at Kirra on a freaking foam board with no fins. Impossible. 4. Why are some spots even on the list? Hainan Bay is garbage year-round. Same with Huntington Beach. Why did the devs even waste their time with these spots? Just remove them and focus on improving the game.

Recent update brought new waves and challenges which is great. The surf sim is generally feeling pretty good, still one of the best if not the best surf game currently available Buuut, some of the new challenges don’t match the waves like the new wave in China which has a 5 x 5s barrel requirement in a wave that barely barely offers a 3s barrel Surfers will return to your game because it’s one of the best, but the game overall needs thought in how to balance the in-game economy (not the micro-transactions) to ensure that players actually feel rewarded for their time Not the devs breaking each level into 5/6 segments expecting us to surf 250+ waves to gain a single segment & repeating it 5/6 times to get the level if 250+ waves full of well timed tricks & nicely surfed little waves is even enough
Heading the right way
Latest update is good. A few glitches, board can seem to catch a rail and lose maneuverability. Missions work now. The POV surfing needs a lot of work before it’ll be useable.
Great game but needs a little tweak.
I love this game and have played it a lot. Bit too be stopped for months as my progression has just stopped building I’ve been stuck at level 21 for ages and my progress never seems to go up so I’ve pretty much given up playing it. Too hard now to level up to many shells required to get better equipment or aids to allow progression. Now just feels like a way of getting my money if I want to get further.
New Update Sucks
Used to love this game, then got up this morning to see that now certain locations are locked until you complete missions at other surf spots, some of which require boards you may not already have. If you don’t want to grind for a long time to get them, you have to spend your money to get enough in-game currency. I think this is ridiculous and killed some of the aloha spirit of the game. It unfortunately looks like this game is headed in a pay-to-win direction. Devs, please fix this 🤙
