Access…..
I have a Ziess scope for a target rifle. I don’t use the app very often, but I do have data that I refer to. Now, I have to pay to get my data. So, since Ziess feels like charging me for access, I’m going to sell the scope and find another to replace it. I will no longer use a Ziess product or give it as a recommendation to purchase.
Ammunition/ usability
Tried to report missing ammo a few time with no response. App is missing every 7mm prc ammo other then Hornady. Wish app was faster and worked without service

Munition fehlt!
Es sollte öfter die Munition aktualisiert werden, im Kaliber 7mm PRC fehlt die Munition von Norma, Federal und weiteren Herstellern! Schade denn ansonsten ist die App gut.

Ich bin sehr Zufrieden mit der App, Es ist der perfekte Begleiter im Revier - gut zum Teilen der Sitze Positionen, genauer Ballistischer Rechner mit großer Datenbank. Leider zeigt der Wind in alle Richtungen wenn man das Handy bewegt. Das ist ein Bug der schon ewig drin und bekannt aber nicht behoben ist. Das einpflegen von Kanzeln funktioniert leider nicht immer zuverlässig bei mir im Revier. (Internet? vielleicht lokal abgespeichert und später synchronisieren?) Ansonsten fände ich es klasse wenn man POIs auf der Karte anzeigen könnte durch anklicken.
No cell, no ballistic info….
I use Zeiss binos for hunting and competition. If I want to quickly verify my ballistic profile or dope while in the field so I trust my bino HUD, I cant access the app when there is no cell service because of the way it loads and requires a sign in. Maybe in Europe there is 5g cellular coverage in every forest, but in North America, specifically the Canadian Boreal forest, there is generally zero coverage. I just tried opening my app in my living room in the city to see if there is an offline mode, and I have to enter a password (like I remember a password from two years ago….) while trying to copy the one time passcode from my email I need to switch apps to copy it, when I switch back to Ziess, the app drops the password reset window and takes you back to the front page for password reset. This app needs true offline access without passwords at least for the ballistic portion. It’s frustrating such a premium optic has such a clunky app. I don’t even get the option to use a different app for ballistic data because the binos will not connect to applied ballistics, an industry standard. I LOVE my Ziess binos, but app is a reluctant third wheel I have to tolerate most days.
Hilfreich aber leider etwas träge
Soweit ganz in Ordnung, allerdings braucht die App lange um zu laden. Mit aktuellem Apple Update ist die Darstellung bzw. das Wiedergabefenster sehr klein geworden.

I’m not very tech savvy and I’m having the hardest time trying to figure out my power setting for the bullet I’m using. It used to be a lot easier when I first bought the scope. 3.5-10x44 Conquest 800.
Gute App mit leichten Schwächen
Ich nutze die App jetzt schon einige Jahre, überwiegend die Jagdtagebuch-Funktion. Dabei sind natürlich die Fotos ein wichtiger Bestandteil, die jedoch anschließend je nach Format jedoch leider nicht richtig angezeigt werden. Was ich mir auch wünschen würde, wären Export-Funktionen. Sowohl für einzelne Bilder, als auch für das Jagdtagebuch als solches z.B. als PDF, am besten in selbst wählbaren Zeiträumen. Ein weiterer Wunsch wäre eine Optimierung im Bereich der ballistischen Profile. Ich bin Wiederlader und nutze z.B. das gleiche Geschoss in verschiedenen Gewichten. Das Geschoss kann ich zwar aus der Datenbank auswählen, jedoch kann ich keinen eigenen Namen für die Profile vergeben, die einen Hinweis auf die Geschossgewichte geben. Alles in allem aber eine wirklich nützliche App - weiter so !
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Moin, ich finde die App an sich für das was sie leistet top. Mich stört allerdings, dass ich Ausrüstung nur hinzufügen und nicht ordnen kann. Da ich mehrere Gläser unterschiedlicher Zeissserien besitze, würde ich es gut finden, wenn ich einer Waffe z.B. ein hinterlegtes ZF zuordnen kann. Besonders bei 2 gleichen ZF aus der selben Serie kommt man da schnell mal durcheinander. Waidmannsheil Mathias
Einschussprofil
Ich finde ap super ! Ich bemängel das man das letzte Einschussprofil in der App nicht sehen kann ! Sonder immer nochmal das Gerät verbinden muss ! Oder geht das etwa und ich habe es noch nicht rausgefunden ? Gruß Ralf
Excellent app that does what it needs to do
I used this app for the first time this year. I found it very intuitive and easy to use. Could their ammunition and scope database use some updates? Yes. But those things change so often that it’s not easy to keep the database up to date. But beyond that, it’s an excellent app. The ballistic drop calculator works great. The weather integration is awesome. If you are a shooter, this app is for you.
The worst app ever
This app demands you log into internet connection and you’ll spend anywhere from Half and hour to an hour getting through the iOS issues related to a link to the website that creates weird screen issues and does not really function as an app. After several attempts to confirm my email I just lost interest in this poor functioning software. It has always been an odd thing that Zeus’s makes such great optics and then seems unwilling to pay for any software engineers. I wish I had bought scopes with better commitment to a ballistics app.

Zeiss contacted me and asked if I could try App again, I did and everything is working, possibly better than before.
Treffpunkt kann nicht korrigiert werden
Leider lässt sich der Treffpunkt von meinem DTC 4 nicht korrigieren. Die App friert ein. Geladen habe ich sie für genau dieses Feature - funktioniert nicht- enttäuschend!
Daten weg
Ich nutze die App zum Führen eines Jagdtagebuchs, ca. 20 Einträge hatte ich dokumentiert. Anfangs erledigte ich das ohne Registrierung mit einem Konto. Die App nervte allerdings jedesmal, ich solle doch ein Konto anlegen, das hätte diverse Vorteile wie Datensicherung usw. Nun gut, habe mich also registriert und mit Konto angemeldet. Leider sind seit diesem Moment alle vorherigen Tagebucheinträge verschwunden. Zum K… Warum ich das hier reinschreibe? Ich habe den App Support kontaktiert und warte seit über einem Monat auf Antwort. Nicht zu empfehlen.
Valuable info.
I thought I could sight in myself;then realized I needed to try the ballistics calculator. It was a surprise using their formula that it all fell in a place. Had a very good morning at the range shooting from 200 to 600 yards. The software saved a lot of time and wasted ammo.
Need to be connected to internet to use
Garbage app… you’ve got to be on internet and logged in or it just says “no internet connection” why would a simple ballistic app that supports a scope you bought from Zeiss require an internet connection? Also, even when connected and logged in, the app is a garbage marketing tool. I regret purchasing my Zeiss Conquest 5HD 3-15x42 because the rapid Z reticle calculator is too hard to access and use. The sad thing is, when Ibought the scope originally, that wasn’t the case. Zeiss, my advise would be to fire your marketing department and restore access to what was once a very assessable and usable app!
Works well enough
App works well for figuring out rough point of impact. The app takes a while to load and freezes up if WiFi is not available. Would like to see an off line function so you could still access dope charts.

DTI 3/35 Crashing
Terrible connection issues with DTI 3/35. Constantly disconnecting, timing out, crashing when attempting to copy files from gallery to iPhone. Often loggin out completely requiring re-login. Worst app this year. Almost Sony bad.
Chronograph essential
The ASV turret is in principle a good idea but as Zeiss mention you really need to check your ammo velocity and probably get a bespoke ring for your purpose The app is only part of the process but again on principle it’s a good starting point for you to fine tune from Consider it and aid not a solution
DTC 3/25
Ziemlich kompliziert! Ich kann die E-Mail nicht ändern, die gar nicht meine ist. Ich weiß auch nicht wo die herkommt. Was soll das mit der Pixelreperatur sein? Verstehe ich nicht. Was sollen die Zeichen im Bildschirm bedeuten? Eins oben und eins unten bei normaler Durchsicht.
Schnörkelose, einfache APP mit Abstrichen
Mit gefällt die Einfachheit der APP. Alles Wichtige für meine Bedürfnisse ist inkludiert. Aber: sie lädt und speichert unheimlich langsam (Internetverbindung schließe ich aus). Kurze Frage: funktioniert die APP nur im online-Modus? Ich hatte im Revier keine Möglichkeit die APP zu starten. Dann wäre sie völlig unbrauchbar!
Great app for a top brand scope
Well... let me start with saying I work for he local gun shop. Over 3 years now. We got training by our ZEISS rep and thank god I took it. This app is the prefect match to the scope. Do your homework with the bullet you are shooting and this will be precise! The drops and clicks are almost prefect. Love this app

Gute Basis, aber verbesserungsfähig
App braucht generell sehr lange zum Starten. Offline leider nicht nutzbar - wir leben in Deutschland, da ist das ein Muss. Nach Erfassung des 2. POI lässt sich kein weiterer mehr erfassen.
Ok app
Wish I had control to organize tabs in the table. The app is ok but I will most likely use it for raw data and refine it the old fashioned way with my army issued write in the rain notebook. Would also be nice to edit and modify the data to reflect my actual data

Il faut toujours se logger à chaque fois que l’on ouvre l’application. C’est long et chiant pour rien. Sinon c’est pas mal, un peu trop orienté publicité pour pousser à l’achat de nouveau matériel. On devrait pouvoir personnaliser les choix.
Aktualisierung funktioniert nicht immer
Leider speichert die App meine geänderten oder neu hinzugefügten „Point of Interest“ nicht immer. Gleiches für die Reviergrenzen. Gibt es hierfür eine Lösung?

A vast improvement over earlier versions. An app more in line with Zeiss's reputation for quality products.
Why limit my zero?
For the price of this scope the app should be enabled to adjust the zero. Most of my shots are under 300 and the average shot is around 100 so I’m zeroed at 100 yards. The fact that I can’t use the reticle view in the app is terrible compared to my other rifle that has a Nikon and their app is much more user friendly and adaptable to the individual needs. Love this scope, hate the app!
Good app but needs improvement
The app works. Sometimes it freezes and it is slow on my iPhone 8. I like the different profiles you can set up. Hopefully they can work out the bugs
Manual very cryptic. Even tech supports does not understand it.
I purchased the ZEISS 10 X 42 RF binoculars because of the built in ballistic program. When I attempted to sync with the ZEISS Hunter App I was exasperated. The app has a function that is supposed to measure local conditions using cel towers. This does not happen. The charts that are displayed are accurate only for sea level. Fortunately the binoculars know where it is and makes appropriate adjustments. If you sight your rifle at sea level things are fine at altitude if you only rely on the binoculars for holdover. If you rely on the chart in the app it will not adjust for altitude. I talked with tech support three different times and they were not aware of the problem. They told me I should always use the automatic “conditions function before syncing with the binoculars. That gives accurate results only if you are zeroing the rifle at sea level.
Could be easier to use
The app works but it’s not the most user-friendly ballistic program, especially for a phone app that you expect to use out in the field.

Unbelievably slow
This App is unbelievably slow on my IPhone 8. Cant view reticle on my Terra rz8.

First time user of ZEISS products and this app, very good for getting dialed in for long range shooting and hunting.
Asv values different on tabs!
When using the app for the asv turrets which is essential to work out clicks for drop depending on if you look at Asv tab or table tab the values for clicks are different!!! Which ones right which do you follow? Seems a fundamental floor on the app not good when you pay £3k for a scope that the app doesent work for! Very disappointed!
