What people like
- Very accurate weather forecasts.
- Great for planning winter trips.
- Useful twenty-four hour forecast map.
What they complain about
- Radar crashes the app constantly.
- White text is hard to read.
- Ads look like inappropriate content.
- Support never actually helps users.
Keeper
I’ve been using the SkyTracker app for a while now and really like the 24 future cast to study the map for upcoming weather.
Alerts aren’t showing accurately
The app has stopped being accurate on the air quality alerts that have been coming through. I now have to go to different apps to know what the air quality is like
Daily radar map
In the current version the radar button is not working and choosing it shuts down the app Ver. 6.1.502
Reader fails to work
The current reader does not work. When you tap on it nothing happens and the app closes. Have reinstalled it and it works for a bit the n fails.
Hard to see
I have a hard time seeing the text at times. White text over a light blue background with white clouds. For anyone with a slight visual impairment, this is the dumbest combination the designers could come up with. If you use a light background, DO NOT use a light coloured text. There needs to be a lot more contrast to make it legible for everyone.
Works great
It’s a daily used app !
The ads all look like p*rn pop ups
I hate this app, not because of the weather but because of the ads that you cannot clear that use thumbnails that at first glance always look like p*rn. I’m no prude but I don’t want anything that looks NSFW popping up when I’m trying to see the weather. Figure out your ad situation, it should be embarrassing for global to have that on there.
Sky tracker
You have really messed up sky tracker it isn’t localized enough and it moves way too fast
Crashing after 6.1.502 update
After update, radar map crashes. Can this be fixed? (Iphone15)
Slow down the radar
Have noticed the radar has sped up. You can’t even get a chance to see the detail. I sure you could get a seizure if you watched it too long. Add a feature that allows you to slow down the frame rate on the radar as it virtually useless at getting any Timelapse data
Weather
Best up to date weather forecasts
Needs Repair
The weather statements and weather warnings cause the app to freeze and crash. Overnight it consumed 27% of my battery while it was running in the background. There wasn’t even any active weather going on. Time to delete it.
Wallpaper
Nice app but the clouds on the wallpaper make it hard to read the white font. Please provide a wallpaper option without white clouds.
Radar not working again!!!
Why is this app not working half the time? The past and future is not working!! But if you pick clouds and radar it will work. WTF??? Fix the APP!!!!! Not happy!! Need the weather!!!
Great when it works
I rely on the accurate radar but it has been not working for over a week. How do I let someone know?
Knowledgeable app
Great app has given me the correct information about the weather have been using it for the past 10 years
Map
Does not work
Please change background!
Great app and very accurate. But please consider changing the background so that you can actually see the weather pattern!
Zero app support…
Everything‘s fine so long as the app works, but if you find it, there’s a problem there’s no way to be able to reach out and contact anyone to let them know that there’s a problem. The app support feature even here within the Apple environment, only redirects you to their News webpage, which also has no contact option for app support. PS. Trying to run the radar option crashes the app…
Needs fixing
Map does not work properly, whenever I go to the map it automatically kicks me out of the app.
Awesome weather App.
Sky Tracker is a fantastic app. Up to date weather. Very informative, and precise. I always use Sky Tracker.
Garbage!!
Radar doesn’t work and causes app to crash. Used this app for years and then starting in June of this year it started crashing every time you use the radar page. Now it sucks. The Weather Channel App is far superior.
Maps lost a lot of functionality
To see earthquakes now you need to save it as a separate map. Then when you click on an icon for an earthquake it doesn’t tell you the location…which isn’t discernible on the tiny map.
Radar NOT working
Radar stopped working 4 days ago. 24 hour radar works but regular radar does not. Please fix ASAP as the radar is an invaluable tool for me traveling!!!
Dependable
Very accurate modelling.
Keeps failing
The radar and the 24 hour lapse does not work .. i have to use the clouds and radar together in-order for me to use the app , uninstalled twice , end result is the radar and 24 hour radar fail and crash after 2 days this will be the third time i uninstall then reinstall
Bad colour shading
The colouring of the app is too light You have white lettering on a very light background makes it hard to see. Would get five stars if you can read it better
Try refreshing weather hourly
Doesn’t refresh like it used to Always 4 to 6 hours behind. Map hour terrible Time was 2:00 pm and map went to 1:30 pm Have to go to another weather app to be updated.
Weather App.
This is a great weather app. Love Sky Tracker. It is precise and always up to date. Thanks Sky Tracker.
global sky tracker
this was my go too weather update it was very good app now it gone down the drain it seem like app stop working radar not running anymore if you delete the app it works but later it stop again you be lucky next day you try to log on go to radar it will not work. please fix it.
This used to be my go to weather app
The light background with white clouds behind white text is almost impossible to read. I rarely use this app now.
Mostly good
I’ve used this app for quite some time and mostly like it. My one gripe is the background. White lettering on white clouds makes for a very low contrast display. Need more not less contrast as I age.
Need a widget!
This is a great app, but come on, where is the widget so we can add it to the lock screen?
Was fantastic, now does not work
Was my go-to app for checking radar, but now it crashes every time. Delete and reinstall it, can watch the radar once, but as soon as you open it again later it will crash again. Please fix it!!!
No Landscape Mode Support
Decent weather app, except that the interface does not support iPad landscape mode. Please fix!
Weather
I use it everyday
Radar Constantly Glitching
In the last two weeks I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall this app four times as the radar feature stops working. Having to do it again as I type this message.
Good
Great app , just wish on the daily forecast the background wasn’t the same color as rain symbols ,as you can’t see it whatsoever being blue on blue
Amazing app
This app is very helpful specially in winter. You can plan ahead of time about your journey.
App keeps crashing
1 star the app needs to be fixed map keeps crashing when trying to use radar please fix this asap it would help a lot
