Trial period isn’t very user friendly
The trial period is 80 hours continuously. As soon as you start using the app, you have 80 hours until the trial is up regardless of whether you are on the app or not.

I find it helpful, as well as easy to navigate. It’s very well thought out & fun. I am enjoying learning with my son. We have the same app & compare our progression each day.
Doesn't remember I bought it
I have to continually delete app and reinstall as it is only loading trial version even though I paid for it. Otherwise, I like it.
Glitches
This app is cool for drawing and handwriting, but it glitches out A LOT! I’ve had drawings that have taken me hours and even days to draw, and the app glitches out and I lose all my work. Sometimes it even saves as a draft 1, only to save as a layered drawing.

I REALLY like the app, and all the options you have! It is a really fun thing to do, and I love the app. The only downside is you have to pay, but it is not that much.
Free?
This app is appearing to be free with "in-app" purchases. To me that means there are some things you can do for free, however, the only thing that you can click on is the dang guide. Why don't you just advertise this for what it is, a paid app. This is false a advertisement and it's not appreciated. I'm not sure if I even want to pay the $3.99 for it after being lied to. It didn't even come with a "try it before you buy it" warning. 2 stars for your dishonesty.

Lag time… Don’t recommend buying
There is not a steady flow in this app. The “ink” is at least 2 seconds behind my pen stroke. Hopefully this is just a bug and I didn’t spend $3 on trash.

Achtung das ist nur eine 3Tage Testversion danach muss man die App kaufen. Für 3,50€ finde ich die App zu teuer, da Sie nur wenig Schriftarten enthält. Ansonsten nette App
Point and trick
Didn’t realize this was a pay to play thing. War hours to see if you like it, but once you trip the clock it counts down whether you are there or not. I got a good 40 minutes playtime before the pay wall popped up. Nahhh.

I really want to learn calligraphy and this is the first app I came along to. I don’t like this because I didn’t get a chance to try it. My Apple pen didn’t even work with it. But it works with other apps that I have. I don’t know if your able to fix this, but if you can, please do and I will try this app again. Thanks! :)
Great simple app - bug when purchasing
It would be great to have some more styles and stencils, but the app is great. However, when I tried buying the full version, there is a problem. Hope it's fixed soon.

It does things, poorly
Has potential but isnt’ ready for subscription payment
Needs a menu to an icon to access the styles of letter. Adding a page to practice in this app means you’re practicing blind without a guide or anything. To access the list of letters you have to reboot the app
Love the app, but....
First of all, I love this app, I love how it’s layout allows you to actually practice on the screen....I have not found any other apps that allow you to do that, bravo!!! And with that being said, I do not mind paying the fees for all three of your Calligraphy apps, because I have actually learned a lot from them, well done! Now for the but..., I was not having any problems with them until your last update 10 months ago, in the Handbook when I am in the words section, I will be writing and all of a sudden the line strike goes crazy as I am writing. And then the app closes down. In the Art version one, in the Young Love option for letter type, in were you get to YZabc, the entire grid with the lettering to practice on is missing. And on the Penmanship one, I have not run into any problems yet, it even responds to my Apple Pencil with no problems.
Free version doesn’t work
The free version of this app worked for one day, but then required a payment to access any of the app features again (even the ones that had been available for free at first). The program itself is nice, but not really something I would pay money for (especially when the trial doesn’t even work)
Good app
I love all the variety the paid version of the app offers. It’s not very user friendly at first to figure everything out but I caught on quickly. My only con is the sidebar stays on the left side, which puts me, a lefty, at a weird angle. I wish you had the option to switch it to the right side.
‘Trial version’ is empty
There is literally nothing you could do without paying for the full version except read the manual. No free fonts, no practice whatsoever, nothing. You might as well just make this a paid app up front. It would be more honest.
Deceiving
Good app but I feel very frustrated that you can download it for free, but then once you get it, it’s a trial. then you have to pay after a couple of days. There is no free access after that. Of the apps that I have tried, it is the best for learning lettering. I just don’t like that I will have to pay to continue to use it.
Great for practicing
I really like this app. I know before the free was even over that I was going to purchase the full app. The only thing I can say wrong with this app is that there is a slight delay when writing but you kinda get use to it.

I tried this app out for a day and forgot about it. I then came back to it and couldn’t use anything without buying the full app but I won’t let me purchase it so 1 star from me.

Die App ist an sich wirklich schön zum Üben. Ein paar mehr Schriftarten wären schön. Wenn man mit dem Apple Pencil schreibt hakt es beim Schreiben allerdings immer wieder, sodass flüssiges Schreiben häufig nicht möglich ist. Das ist natürlich etwas suboptimal zum Kalligraphie Üben.

Since there is a time limit I urge to Practis a lot and try things all. More I Practis I getting idea and better. I wonder I have to pay after 75hors to use anything. Or there is a free version.

Best one,but needs work
I have tried a few apps of this kind and I think this one is the best and most useful. It would be nice if they continued too improve on it though. Especially the brush functions
Need different trial capability
I want to decide if this app is right for me, but a 3-day trial isn't enough. Most similar apps do something like give you access to a single alphabet or a couple letters in a few alphabets indefinitely, so you can really test its capabilities. I must have missed the 3-day bit of info and now, a few days after downloading it, I can't test it at all.
Very well-designed tutorials
Perfect for Apple Pencil, this app has well-designed lessons to learn strokes. The developer also offers many styles of calligraphy to learn.
Doesn’t work
Not sure when I originally got this app, but the last few times I’ve opened it I have not been able to use any of the options. EVERYthing I select forces me to an upgrade screen option, with no way to escape that screen. Have to repeatedly close the app, reopen, just to try another option. At the VERY LEAST, the upgrade screen should have an X to escape or go back. It’s a dead end. App is useless. Uninstalling.

Decent but not great
Like another review pointed out, I’m having issues with pressure sensitivity with the Apple Pencil. It doesn’t seem to adjust with pressure. I’m on the paid version as well.

This is an excellent app to practice Calligraphy with many options to choose and a good selection of letter styles. I think it’s just great

So aggravating that this app is listed as free then SUDDENLY the trial ends and you have to pay to use it. Not worth downloading unless you want to pay.

Not very functional; just a trial version
App is not responsive to pressure from the Apple Pencil which is not very useful for learning calligraphy, where pen pressure determines thickness of line. After a short period of time, the app won’t let you proceed without paying $4. Granted, in some sense this is good and I wish more apps let you have a trial period before purchase, but given the lack of stylus compatibility I won’t be purchasing this app. Edit; response to developer: I’m definitely using the Calligraphy Penmanship app, not the others you mentioned. Brand new iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, other writing apps work just fine, tried every writing option in your app, your trial app has a bug/isn’t compatible
