Life changer
My life would have been so much easier if I had access to this when I was a teen. A necessity for any musician.
Way too expensive
There is no reason why these resources are not free now a day. This is very simple programation

great content, lousy interface
Seems to gave a great approach, BUT, I spend mist of my time figuring out how to put in the correct answers through their terrible user interface. The UI needs an entire redevelopment using outside novices.
i hate this app
i have to use this app for school and it sucks
Self taught
I played trumpet in 5th and eighth grade, basically could read music, but did not develop an ear. Thirty years later tried again with private lessons and was told I was tone deaf. I have consistently used EarMaster and my ear has dramatically improved. Still on the basic level but my progress is amazing.
Very confusing set up process
I’ve signed up, paid for a year and has been confirmed with email but when I go to login I’m not allowed.
Super Program with some wrinkles
Love the program! Provides terrific value and really helps mature my pretty weak ear. Thank you! The down side is it seems to crash way too much and I get error messages about half the time. Then I just give it an hour or three before trying again. Although this is a pain, especially after they whack you for an additional $ 12 or more, the quality of the training might be worth it. Hopefully, the powers that be will figure out and correct.
Baritones beware
Doesn’t recognize the baritone/Bass notes well at All find something else don’t waste your money
It’s okay…
The overall app is alright, the pitch recognition for lower voices blows…

Pretty good
Best of the worst
Great
Absolutely fantastic. My rating would be 5 stars if there was an option to add user-defined scales and chords.
Not For Baritones
The pitch recognition algorithm used in EarMaster is terrible for baritone voice. For one, it maps unpitched vocal transients to pitches, but worse, it misidentifies non-octave vocal harmonics as the sung pitch which obviously results in poor scores for correctly sung notes. Very frustrating. Regarding the Solfege add-on, which i recently purchased, the solution for the pitch identification problem given in the EarMaster forum is to sing every note as “eee…e” (the vowel sound in “key”). While this improves pitch recognition, it breaks the important training association between the solfege symbol (do, re, mi, …) and the scale location of the sung note. It’s like selling someone a bicycle, then telling them it can only be ridden on one street or the chain will fall off. Per the forum, EarMaster has known about this problem for at least a year. Until the pitch recognition algorithm is fixed, beware of EarMaster exercises and add-ons that depend on pitch recognition, particularly if you are a baritone. If the exercise depends only on listening to tones, EarMaster has a deservedly good reputation.

Awesome!
Endless treasure trove for ear training! When I started, I couldn’t even hear a harmonic interval. Now I can hear (simple) chords. Awesome tool, and I only scratched the surface.
Won’t do anything :(
Running iOS 18.3 on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. When I try to open the app, the ONLY thing I see is the splash screen. App is unresponsive to any button presses or screen taps. Already tried reinstalling it, nothing changed. :/
No connection with my hearing aids
This has been a wonderful app. However there is no audio connection with my hearing aids. Of course, it runs find through the speaker. With other music training apps I've had no problems of this nature. Please find a way to fix this problem. I'll be forever thankful!

Incredible
Sometimes there’s something wrong, but mostly 97% is right correction
Would be great if you could choose vocal range!
As a baritone, the app proved useless as it continually offered me soprano notes to sing. There appears to be no way to specify SATB, which would seem to be a standard requirement for a training app of this nature. Very disappointing.
Eargasm
Very nice program. Please add the ability to save in the middle of an exercise.
I am blind. I use iPhone VoiceOver and I am unable to navigate the app.
Can't use with VoiceOver

It does some things well and some not so much. Overall, it will help improve your hearing
Error
I keep getting error and it says audio unitinitialize failed. I paid $5.99 to get the beginner course but can’t use anything.
Needs Portrait mode.
Great, but I hate how landscape mode is forced on iPhone. Feels like you just made and iPad version without the iPhone in mind. Please add this feature. I would use this app way more and would be willing to using the subscription service if you did this.
Microphone?
On iPad. You will spend a great deal of time trying to get the app to pick up your internal or even external mic every single time you open it. It probably works fine on the desktop version. I wouldn’t know because you have to buy the desktop version separate from the mobile app. Not buying the software twice. Bad business.
My music teacher makes us use this
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Rhythmic sight reading & Melodic sight singing 🙏🏻💕
The most incredible Rhythm and sight singing app. Super duper helpful get your choir teachers to make it mandatory
Master
Of disaster
Pretty good
The free parts are ok. Don’t cover that much. Wish the pitch sensitivity were set a bit lower. Undecided about paying for the other lessons.
Cool app, but…..
Being forced to use landscape mode is unfortunate. It actually prohibits me from being able to use it because I need my phone in portrait mode.
初试
感觉音高练习我唱的音录在pad里不是很准，而且那个曲线有时抖得厉害。

Bad
Very bad
EarMaster is fun!
EarMaster is fun! Edit: It is also very helpful for when I need to practice my syncopation, or other exercises!
Too expensive
There a number of other ear training apps available. At these prices I would rather pay a music teacher or take an online class. Paying $12 per section is outrageous. It would be cheaper to take a college course.
Used to be the best
Good, used to be great. Other apps are now doing what earmaster needs to, having sections of intervals and progressions referencing real songs to show theory in application.
I luv it
This is the best
So bad
This app is useless. The answers it plays always contradicts to the audio, answers constantly change, and I’ve learned nothing from this app. they make it impossible to play after an eight rest
Needs Leaps in the triad
I am enjoying the app for the most part. I wish it was less sensitive to the metronome clicks in the sight singing so I don’t have to use earphones. Also I see not even the customized exercises have a setting to restrict leaps to within scale degrees 1,3 and 5. Was going to buy the custom if it had that option, since I can’t progress with the random leaps, and we are only doing 1, 3, 5 in class now. Stepwise except for leaps on the triad.
Expensive and unworthy
The working flow is uselessly long. Try Complete Ear Trainer instead, much better!
Could be better
Pretty good for practicing, but quite bad for learning. The system kind of punishes the user for making mistakes without any sort of positive reinforcement or tutorial kind of system.
Good complement to music lessons
Minimal cost for some helpful exercises. I’m an amateur vocalist and it really helps check your output.
It does not work at hire level‘s.
It is a good program until you get To level 8 although you have to restart the phone many times. The other reviewers probably did not get this far. I am using the latest iphone and ios.
Great
Great program for ear training
Based on a first impression...
The vocal range settings have made no difference to the introductory lessons for me. I’m a bass baritone and the test pitches are way out of my vocal range. It says you can sing an octave or two below but what’s the point? I’d rather have all the practices pitches within my vocal range. Also, the mic seems to have a hair trigger. The first three questions I failed I hadn’t made a sound, it must be picking up ambient noise. My main request is begin with a vocal range finder and stick to it. Nobody can sing outside their range.
Ok
So I have the ONE MAJOR problem that’s it! So I’m a middle schooler and I’m required to use part of your program for class. Our teacher tells us that the app and the part we are using should be 100% FREE. We are currently working on intervals. It just irritates me that I can access this part online put not in the app. Otherwise pretty good app!
