Beginning to catch up to SU
I still really miss Stumble... their algorithm always brought a serendipitous oddity that brought me mental relief. Mix has become more relevant in recent months… my doom scrolling is improving.

A little review
MIX is beautiful because it uses videos that bring pleasure to the soul. And it’s inexpensive. Where else can you drive through a tunnel in Utah and be splashed with a mountain view coming out the other end. And no need to take your eyes off the road and risk a crash. Or take a train ride through the Swiss Alps from the comfort of my wheel chair, while eating a Hagen Doz. Life is good.

I may have set myself up for disappointment but i had a craving for a stumble to realize they’re no more. This was more of a tiktok FYP than an actual stumble from something entirely not on an algorithm that’s based off other algorithms. A for effort. i’m also quite particular with things when i want them. but you did inquire about my feedback

Loved the app, it was nice to have a social media platform that was on the happy side. Unfortunately had to delete because every other slide it came up with cannot see content in this region.
Not really scrolling smart…
Cool app, however not what i thought. I thought this was an app that would provide me with interesting topics or articles that would make me “scroll smarter”. Instead i was scrolling videos of a dog saving their owner and a lady singing. Basically this app is if boomers controlled all the content on instagram reels.
Stumble Upon Alumni
I have been using this since it was Stumble Upon, which I really enjoyed. It took me awhile to enjoy the new design, but I find it more wholesome than similar offerings out there. It may just be my algorithm.
Annoying
This app is poorly designed to force you to select the options they want. In the first hour, six notifications to rate the app. Seven times to allow notifications. Constant in-app notifications that you have no ability to turn off. I was a StumbleUpon fan, and for some reason never adopted Mix. Now I remember why.
Ok but filtering doesnt work
I turned off videos nut they stilll show up. I dont want another tiktok clone
Unfortunately it doesn’t do what stumble upon did.
The beauty of stumble upon, was that you’d learn new things, read articles, find websites and generally explore fascinating topics. This is an app which scalps the internet for photos, gifs and videos loosely based on the subjects you find interesting. Humour? Have 1000 gifs of dogs doing ‘funny’ things. Science? Have a photo of Jupiter. Just not the same and misses the mark entirely.
Once great app being swamped by politics
I was an early adopter of this app. It was a bit rough in the beginning but in a short time it became my go to. Great stories and visuals. All stories featuring animals, nature and many feel good stories. But recently it has become a political voice of hatred. The once great app that you could use to get away from the political social hatred has become one itself. I didn’t want to do it, but I had to delete it. ************************** Today I reinstalled Mix under a different user email. One last try, I’ll see if I can enjoy it as before but if the political hatred filters in I will permanently delete it. Update to come.

Created a login and it’s not working
Very buggy and not login in. I used it couple times and now I can’t even login. Sorry but not acceptable for a big company like yours

Deteriorating Quality
Can’t even log in at all with the latest update. Spits out an error about requiring a proxy. This app was great about a year ago. Then the quality of the software started to degrade to the point where even logging in is now broken. Moreover, there has been a lot of bad user experience/UI design changes. I hope they get their act back together.
Very good but..
A LOT of the pages have “unknown error” messages on them. I was told it was my vpn so I disabled that and it didn’t make any difference. My wife is also having the same error messages and the authors don’t seem to know why.. Shame as it seems a really interesting app..

Hit and miss
I tried Mix a fair while back when it first replaced StumbleUpon and really didn’t get on with it. I’ve redownloaded it to give it another go with a fresh perspective and actually, it has improved. Is it better? Yes. Is it great in its own right? Not really. My main issue is that I’m not really sure what to do with it. What was appealing about SU was that it was brilliant at throwing up underrated gems. Articles and art work and really unusual stuff that you didn’t come across elsewhere. Mix is a bit too saturated with content that I can already find on other platforms: memes, Twitter screenshots and Reddit-style fluff. Although there are some interesting articles floating about, to be fair. It’s just lost its main attraction for me, which was its niche content.
I absolutely love this app.
The only improvement I would make is to be able to download the content. I hate having to screenshot content I wanna keep

This app is a mess. You got a dance to sign into it. It only took that after two tries. The profile information I couldn’t do that either because the big box from Next wanting me to read it I I can’t use it. It seems I’m not the only one that doesn’t like this app. With one star. I’m going to uninstall right now.

Is it just me or is this app a battery drain? Went from 20% to 3% in a couple of minutes using this app.

Was looking for the stumbleupon version of the internet, got the temu TikTok instead
Like the title says, I was looking for stumbleupon when reminiscing about the website. Was directed to this app. It’s nothing like stumbleupon, which would take you to what felt like a very curated mix of unique and cool websites. Maybe you have to pay for everything cool these days? But once I got on the app, it was just a bunch of videos that I could have seen on TikTok, but worse quality. There was one scroll of something other than a video of an article with a story about how the middle finger originated which wasn’t even credible.
the last update is not good for the readers
The app turns into a video based app and choosing only articles doesn’t help because of the new interface. Previous version was the best.

Couldn’t find any button to down vote websites, only up but no down quite important in the process though! If you start climb you can’t go down....wohooo yiiiha! Twisted and biaised SU was better

I like your app very much, but I think your preview of the article is way too short... and a lot of time , if I have a doubt about being or not interest by the page, I prefer to not open the page because I gone loose time charging it! I am sure I am loosing some very interesting topic.
Only iPhone?
I migrated from StumbleUpon but haven't used it yet. The keyboard for my iPad doesn't work well when balanced on its edge vertically. Is there a way to rotate the orientation, or better yet, is there an iPad version?
