Absolute trash
You can’t make transfers
Great rates but app could use some work
Popular direct has great rates for their savings and CDs. That being said, their app does need some work. You are unable to do anything on the app. Want to transfer money? You have to log in through the desktop. Doesn’t really bother me because if they invested so much into the app, I’d assume interest rates wouldn’t be so great. So I’m satisfied with their decision.
Please Update App
I’ve had their savings account for almost 3 years and the app is not good at all.
Please add a better Transfer option
Please add an easier User friendly transfer button utilizing a default bank account to move money into and out of the account. Please please please.
Doesn’t work
The app is bare-bones and still doesn’t work. The website is not much better. I do not recommend using this bank; you will end up having to contact customer service to get anything done, and you know how that goes!!
70 day waiting period
Please note when you open a new account your only allowed to add one bank account and its for deposits only. I called up customer service which took about 5-10 min before i could get a live rep. She sounded like she was frim somewhere in India. Said you can only have one account forfirst 70 days and it can only be setup to add money. After the waiting period they add the option to transfer money out. I am a bit untrusting so im not going to add anymore cash until i can transfer money out. You can have them delete the one bank account and change to a different one but only for deposits until 70 days are up. Interest rate is 5.40% ehen i wrote this. I could get 5.50% on a citi moneymarket but would need min of 100k. You may want to go that route if you have that much cash.
Disaster
It’s been over a year now and this app is still the worst bank app I’ve ever used! It constantly crashes, refuses my login credentials, and at times my deposits simply disappear from the transaction history. Today, all of my external bank accounts disappeared from my transfer list along with $10K of my money!!!! Customer support? Hahaha! Good luck finding someone outside of India who can help solve your issue! I came here for the great APY on their accounts, but now I’m getting away, as soon as I find my $10K and the rest of the funds left in my account.
Crashes on Login
I cannot even access my account through the app right now because it crashes every single time I enter my password.
Useless Transfer
Very much useless. You cannot transfer money to/from external account from the app and does not even allow you to add multiple external accounts. Worst experience
iOS app now crashes
After Face ID gets a check mark the app simply crashes!
Worst banking app ever
Basically the app allows you to check your current balance, that’s it. You can’t even see the maturity date of your CD account. Don’t know why they ever bothered to create such an app.
The worst app in history
My first time leaving a review on anything. This app deserves my review virginity because of how horrible it is.

The app is not user friendly and the info provided is minimal.
NO EXTERNAL TRANSFERS
PLEASE add the ability to transfer to/from a popular direct account to a non-popular account. If you don’t have access to a desktop, you literally can’t complete an external transfer. Which is like the only feature I need other than viewing my balance and interest.
