I’d give the app 5 stars if it didn’t ask me to rate and review every time I opened it to authenticate my login. Isn’t paying for the service enough?
Gute app aber die remotekonsole funktioniert nicht richtig
Soweit ist alles gut aber wenn ich die Remotekonsole für meinen VPS öffne, dann bekomme ich keine Tastatur und kann von meinem Tablet/Handy nicht amit interagieren. Vielleicht kann man diese Funktionalität noch nachbessern dann ist es eine 5/5
Webmail is hassle to get to
Everything is fine. It’s just a pain to have to log in search for the mail app and log in again with different email and password
Can trap you in an auth loop
I recently logged in to my Ionos account via my Mac. The login process asked me to confirm the login via the Ionos app on my phone. However for some reason the iPhone app had logged me out. It prompted me to log in, and then after I entered my username and password, asked me to confirm it via the app! Impossible since the app was awaiting a login verification. Really badly designed logic. This has happened more than once. The app (all iOS apps really) should store my credentials in the keychain and NEVER EVER ask me to re-authenticate. I had to resort to a backup method to regain access to my account. Frustrating!

I had the most helpful and knowledgeable support today from IONOS and my customer service specialist was Irish. She was tremendous help to get me on track with my invoices and needs. Thank you very much.

Ruined by recent changes
The IONOS app now opens with with no visible way to login. After punching around a bit, you get to enter username and password, but then 2-factor kicks in. My choices are: 1. Verify with IONOS app by shaking phone, but shaking does nothing, and I am not logged in, or 2. Use Authenticator to generate a code, but I can’t type in the code because IONOS won’t accept typing into the fill-in-the-blank field that is shown. I cannot get the iPhone keyboard to pop up to type in a number. In its present form it is worthless. I am using a web browser or full PC to access my account.

Ich habe mich doch sehr gewundert, dass die Bearbeitung von Emails nicht für das Ipad optimiert ist. Der Text verschwindet hinter der Tastatur und wenn man es 90 Grad dreht ist nur ein Teil des Textes sichtbar. Bei der Anmeldung einen 6 stelligen Code an die Email Adresse zu senden für die man sich gerade anmelden möchte ist auch eher sinnfrei. Da muss dringend Abhilfe geschaffen werden. Wie weit sind sie mit dem Thema? Ein tägliches Nachfragen, ob mir IONIOS gefällt, bringt da nichts. Wenn es nicht so aufwändig wäre die E-Mail Adresse zu wechseln, wäre ich schon wieder weg. Bitte hören Sie auf täglich nachzufragen, ob mir ihr System gefällt. Das nervt. Viele Grüße Olaf

My name is Brian. I have a last name, only it’s “Not” the one that was on all my accounts with IONOS after registration!! I would absolutely NEVER input the name that came up. I was adopted at 8 years old and I can’t stand the name I had at birth!!! No reason other than IONOS doing a serious deep dive into me as a client to gather unauthorized information and data!!! I don’t trust the IONOS brand and you shouldn’t either!!! This is your warning‼️ I have all the proof and evidence so if this gets taken down or you think or anyone thinks I’m bluffing?!? I’ve filed a complaint with the FTC as well. You’ve been warned!!!

I started a website with this company ionos and lost money and lost clients
Can’t access mobile website
On this app I could utilize the mobile website version. It is no longer available. It only pulls up the website version. I can’t access my store through the website version. Error message to enable cookies. How do I enable cookies on your app? Please help Otherwise, I have used Ionos since 2021 and have loved the ease of use and quick customer service

It’s a web browser
This works fine, but that’s because it’s just a web browser. When I open the app in my Mac it starts Safari; so just use a browser, or save a web page in Safari as an app. At least you won’t then have another app wasting space in your Applications folder.

Please review the terms for service activation. Many users here spread misinformation, claiming that customers are forced to sign up for an annual contract. In reality, that is not the case; the company simply offers a discounted annual plan. You can opt out of the annual plan and choose a monthly payment option instead. I had no trouble cancelling my contract and dropping the plan I didn't need—I didn't even have to call technical support. Furthermore, after submitting a written request to support, I received help adjusting my virtual machine's configuration settings without any hassle. To avoid unwanted charges, simply remove your payment method details from your account dashboard, and no further fees will be charged.
God awful
Takes a ridiculous amount of time to send emails, can only attach a single attachment at a time, and disconnection errors preventing mail being sent or attachments being saved to a draft/email are a constant frustration that completely ruins user experience - never had to work so hard to send an email in any other app. Needs massive work.
SHOCKED!!
IONOS service was so poor that after six months and 20+ hours of discussions with support personnel, none of the services I purchased were set up correctly enough for me to even log in. The worst decision I ever made was to think that telephone customer support would be better that a chat bot. Finally, I can cancel everything and move on to a provider who actually knows its business.
Why have an app?
If you are going to have an app shouldn’t it have the same capabilities as your website? I recently had a payment processing issue, but could not access it through the app, and because of that, didn’t trust that the notices I’ve been getting were legit. Don’t give me an app that doesn’t work.
Affordable and loaded with essential tools
It always was nice, but now I think it got even better! Never tried the app before but curiousness won me over! For a good cause though, the app makes it much easier to learn more about IONOS and easily access my hosting. It’s always a great idea to find the new offer of plugins to install before even setting up WordPress and this makes building a website/blog even quicker! Try IONOS today and you won’t regret it!

Great for quick settings management
Very handy to fix stuff from my phone. Communication with server is a little slow (-1*), but still, it’s a good app!
I find it difficult
I really struggle to use and understand the app. I’ve been trying for almost an hour to activate the antivirus and all I’ve manage to do is somehow purchase email archiving I don’t need - even though I click the virus protection.
Can't switch between accounts
I manage 2 different accounts on 1and1. I was able to log out once from first account and then login to the second account. Now it always automatically logs-in to the second account. The ionos page comes and redirects immediately without allowing to specify different account. And that is after logging out. Tried deleting and reinstall the app, deleted all browser cookies pointing at ionos. Nothing works. 😝

Partly useful but I/f needs LOTS of work
Handy but GUI operation (on iPad) is somewhere between quirky and utter piece of sh.... plus, would MUCH prefer d/l-ed item (so icon ca appear on a menu) rather than everyyyytime gotta do go-to-AppStore-click-open.
Not user friendly
This platform seems to have decent tools for managing time and contacts, but its integration is massively lacking. Finding email login takes several steps, which seems unnecessary. It doesn’t reliably send notifications. The platform is priced well but really can be laid out in a much better way

1&1 has a great range of features and platforms. The issue for myself has primarily been with creating cost effective transitions where the package s can be recommended to achieve the best value for the customer.

Declining services
Unfortunately, IONOS has changed over the years to make it less customer service, friendly, and try to get more and more money out of you. I say unfortunately, because I have hosted my websites here for 20 years and I believe the service has deteriorated and costs have gone up considerably.

This app has greatly improved the way that I can interact with all of my domains, websites and email accounts. I love it. It makes my job sooo much easier and the access to and display of site analytics is great.
