I love this app
It’s so great to have daily prayers and scripture reading for the day right at my fingertips ! And the saints for the day, with icons ! It makes it so much easier to do the daily prayers and reading ! I love to sometimes do the prayers with the recordings, it reminds me that we’re always praying with the saints everywhere
Very buggy
It’s a pricey app and all its features don’t necessarily work. For example, when I go to a previous or future date, it shows all of the information for today’s date only. Therefore I really only have access to today’s information. Saints have always been slow loading, but got slower and slower, to the point sometimes, they no longer load at all. I am paying quite a bit for this app, so I do expect it to function. The problem has nothing to do with my internet connection or phone. Everything else I use works just fine. I contacted the app makers in the hopes that they could help. They told me to submit “send developer logs” via the app. Guess what? That doesn’t work either. I haven’t heard from them in weeks. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app helps, but I would have to do it daily in order to see improvement. It’s disappointing. PS: I see the app developers tell other users the same thing they told me. “It works perfectly.” Ummm…no, it doesn’t. The user shouldn’t have to reinstall it so frequently. That’s ridiculous.
App stopped working weeks ago
App will not open. Just tells me to please wait while it loads data. But never loads. Doing the same on my husbands phone. We updated the app- still didn’t work. We tried deleting and redownloading n and nope still doesn’t work. I really liked this app for months but for the past couple weeks it just doesn’t work at all /:
Really wanted to like this app
This is a beautiful app, but the pricing is incredibly disingenuous. $3.99 gets you...next to nothing. I would expect quite a bit more content than a simple paragraph and single icon picture. It takes an additional $14.99 to make the app actually usable. The subscription isn’t even shareable to the rest of the family - making this app a very expensive proposition for a family to expand their knowledge and faith. A single in-app purchase to the $14.99 subscription and being able to share that within a family would be a welcome change. Or simply offer more content for $3.99 - I don’t care about audio content, for example, but I feel like full text should be available for $3.99.
Stopped scrolling
When it works it has a lot of great content and I recommend it. But now I cannot scroll down to the readings. Its tuck. I rebooted and even reinstalled. Sadly I cannot even contact the developers because those buttons are at the bottom of the screen.
Fantastic Christian Orthodox App
This is a wonderful Christian Orthodox app for daily devotions and prayers! I wholeheartedly recommend it.

UPDATE: I received the following reply from the developer: "Deinstall and install again. The app works perfectly. Also, there is option Restore subscription." I’ve done this thee times. The app still doesn’t load and function. Just crashes after displaying the splash screen. This app was great when I first installed it, but it hasn’t been working for quite a while. The splash screen comes up, then immediately crashes and won’t open. And yet they still took my annual renewal fee recently. I’ll file a claim with my bank to get that back.
It a good app but it have some problems
I’m just going keep this short, the subscribe thing is kinda annoying because it hart read everything that Saint said and to also hear what they sound like and do.

I can’t figure out how to use this app. I am stuck on the first page.
A bug in an otherwise great app
I love this app, but I haven’t been able to use it for a while because it won’t load. I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall but to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Aside from that, I would recommend this app to anyone.
Was great at first
Then it stopped working during Lent 2019. The promise of fixes was constant, but never materialized. It’s too bad because when it was good it was good.
Wish for audio scripture
Love the app so far. Great design, lovely content. I wish there were also audio recordings of the scripture readings! I actually thought there were before I purchased and am disappointed. Also wish there were a continuous play feature so I could listen to, say, all the precommunion prayers in a row while driving without having to click each one.
Okay but it could be better.
This app is okay, but it would be better if it had an option to make the font a lot larger in order to enable old eyes to read the prayers easier. Also, the paid version is supposed to have audio for certain sections. However, very often the audio does not work on some selections. Additionally, when you pay for the app, it only makes the paid version available on one of your devices. I paid for the version on my computer and then found out I would have to pay again in order to get the full version for my iPhone. There are a number of typos in the text - which is a bit annoying, but not so much that it would make me not pay for the app. The icons for the saints are sometimes mixed up showing the icon matched to the wrong saint - again a minor point. The narrartor of the prayers sounds like a very young girl with a soft voice who doesn't pronounce the words distinctly. It would be nice if she would articulate her words more clearly and without cutting off her consonants. Since I am on a fixed income, when the app expires (it's $14.99 per year) I may not renew my subscription. I have a pet-peeve about half baked apps - If I have to pay for an app, I think all the bugs and mistakes should be fixed before it is released and to put out an app with so many mistakes in it shows disrespect for the customer.

Are you refunding or crediting?
This app is great when it works but it was not till the end of March before you provided content for 2020. The same issue occurred last year. How can you justify changing up to $18.98 for a annual subscription and not providing content for almost 25% of the time that was paid for. I would love to support this app but until you rectify this issue of paying for access that we don’t get and for having the same delay in data every year, I will not be spending more money on this. Also, please do not claim this was a “technical” issue like you have in other posts. This was, for two years in a row now, you all not being timely in updating the database.
Weird changes
Within the last few months, the errors of this app has increased. I pay the $3.99 yearly price. The errors I have noticed are: saints’ pronouns are very often wrong; the saint’s biography will not match their name; the Scripture readings confusingly just went to KJV contrasting with a more readable version from before; and most oddly, the app shows that it is Holy Week when it is Bright Week. I mean… did the person running the app hire a robot or…? Very grateful for the app overall, but it is no longer something I use for more than minutes at a time unless it’s for communion prayers.
Made it worse for no reason
Loved this app and subscribed for years. Recently they updated it to have a very confusing and clumsy UI. Hard to get to the things that I want and a lot of the material seems to have errors. Worst thing is that the beautiful icons on the home screen were replaced by bizarre and ugly watercolors. Very strange and not a welcome change. Wish I could just go back to how it was before when it was beautiful and just worked.

Paid for full version and it stopped working
As soon as I paid for the full version of this app it stopped showing me prayers and Saints. Disappointed there’s no one to go to for a refund.

Very grateful to have the readings from the Prologue with me when I’m on the move, as it is not always practical to carry the two-volume set with me. There are many beautiful features of this app that make the yearly price completely worth every penny. What it lacks and what I hope will be added later is the fasting calendar of the Church. This would really be the perfect Orthodox app if that was included.
Waited all this time for nothing.
Not a fan of the long-awaited update. Not at all. The previous version had more readings (which—let’s be honest—was the main reason anyone downloaded this app), was far more attractive, and the option to customize based on patriarchate was a nice touch, now sadly gone. Navigation—once you figured it out—made more sense. The new layout and organization seems dumbed down and less personal. I’m glad this app exists, of course. Any app of this sort is a blessing. I just wish the developer(s) had gone a different direction with the update. I’ll gladly increase my rating if the next(?) update is an actual improvement. +
Great content - that doesn't always work.
I have had this app for several years. I pay for the full subscription. I use it every single day in the morning and in the evening. One of the best features is the amount of information in the Synaxarion. However, lately it doesn't want to load. I came here in search of answers to see if other users were having the same issues and I see that they are. Again, I love this app. I prefer it over going to the OCA website, however what am I paying for if it's not actually working! The voice reading does work all the time however I like to read the information for myself, and I also love looking at the icon pictures that accompany the description. Please fix this app because I would hate to have to give it up. This is the reason I'm only giving it three stars - otherwise I would give it five. I am editing my review! The developers absolutely and quickly responded to this issue! Since the writing of my previous review, I have not experienced any issues at all. Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to continue enjoying this lovely app and editing my review. I highly recommend this app.
VERY Disappointed!
Just discovered the app today, was very excited. Downloaded app. Opened app, was offered choice of Old or New Calendar. Chose Old. App shows Old Calendar date and NOTHING else! No Saints, nothing promised for the free version. If the free version works this poorly, I’m not about to update to a pay version!! It appears the developers have totally abandoned the app! They also make the mistake of putting the Civil Calendar date first…. It should be Church Calendar date first and Civil date second.
Wonderful
I just wish there was a key guide/legend for the fasting symbols. That would be very helpful. Other than that this app is amazing and beautiful!
Underbaked
Good idea but all about the sales. Disappointing. I shouldn’t have to pay for the basic and THEN the full. If I want to pay for the full and be done, don’t squeeze me for more money and expect me to buy the basic first. You lost me at hello. Try again. There are free apps that do this better.
Subscription issues
I love the content that’s available but I can’t access it because it won’t let me subscribe. Keeps me on an endless loop hitting the subscribe button but never subscribing.
Just want push notifications
I’ve NEVER wanted push notifications for any app and the one app that I actually want them on doesn’t have the option. Please add daily notifications! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Could be Great
The app is very useful especially for people who might not be able to acquire prayer books or people new to the faith however, given the infrequent support for the app and the subscription based pay model the app could use much improvement. A simple change would to be to change from a subscription to a one time fee for the extra content as subscriptions only work if you’re going to consistently support your product in my opinion.
After renewal stopped working.
Annual charge processed, then app stopped working. Just says loading data. Reinstalled, rebooted, nothing helps.

Wonderful App but…
I‘ve loved this app for years; but found out recently about the pricing, when I realized I’d been paying for both the basic and full subscriptions. I canceled the basic and continued with the more expensive full subscription. But then I couldn’t read any of the saints’ lives anymore. It kept telling me I needed to subscribe. I apparently need to buy both the basic AND higher subscription to use the app. I find that dishonest/misleading. I’ve deleted this app for another I’ve found. I’ll miss this app, but refuse to have to buy both subscriptions just to use it.
Excellent App
This app gets better with each up date. It’s my go to app for starting the morning with prayers and reading scripture/lives of the saints.
App is great but Needs trial of full features
Very well lay out app but it is not clear what the subscription includes. I just signed up to the full subscription($21) thinking that audio content included church hymns, but it doesn’t. A short trial period would have avoided this confusion.

Cannot switch easily from new to old, old to new. Very frustrating.
Excellent Orthodox app!
I love this app! It is particularly helpful that it can be set to old or new calendar. The paid version is very reasonable and gives audio/listening options, which I very much wanted. I only wish daily scriptures also had the audio option.
Amazing App, but Needs Work on Accessibility
This is an amazing app for technologically minded Orthodox Christians! It's full of great content. However, it could use some fixes so that it can work better with VoiceOver, the built-in screen-reader for the iPhone which allows blind and visually impaired users to hear what they're touching on the screen. The main buttons are not labeled so that VoiceOver can read them correctly. Also, I have not found a way to see whether a given day is a fast-day or not while using VoiceOver. You've done such a great job with the app, and I'm sure that these fixes will be easily implemented. Thanks very much for making the app!
Prayers should be linear
This app would be perfect if the prayers were in a linear format. It makes it impossible to pray in a smooth way. Other than that, the content is good for most.
