Don’t waste your money
The he app rarely works first try. It’s even worse since the last update. I have to disconnect the camera power, turn off my data, and maybe it will work. Absolutely frustrating to use. Don’t waste your money.
Firmware Update
Spent a few hours to do an firmware update Tech support was very helpful. Had to use my laptop to put the new firmware on the micro SD card. After a few attempts it worked . I used the tools on the Black Vue website to format the micro sfmx card. The app is more stable now!!
You’re App Connectivity Continues to Disappoint
After 8 years of the 900s dashcam it is almost perfect. However your App and ease of connectivity to the dashcam is still complex and problematic. It takes me almost for ever to wifi connect and view live feed particularly (but not always) after you have an app update. My phone detects the BlackVue network, however password entry rarely works first time. (Keep trying). Then try to connect from the app to live dash and it keeps Searching for ever until it can’t find or the app needs to be forced closed. Then one day eventually it all seems to work, until you change the app or there is some reset that has occurred. Please fix, make simple, it can’t be that hard!
No way to set 3 hour parking mode
Why don’t you an option for 3 hour parking?

World’s Worst App
So many crashes on the app. Can’t download videos to device. Infuriating to download or view footage. Will never buy a BlackVue again
The app needs work
The new update disabled push notifications,my app is setup properly.. And the proximity sensor should be able to turn microphone on and off I have model 97OX-E8 39E After deleting the app and reinstalling it everything works fine but it would be nice to be able to turn off or on the microphone without having to go to settings.
App needs a lot of work
The dashcams themselves are great, quality is good (reason for 2 stars) but the app has me regretting the entire purchase. The software currently needs to be updated which the app states it takes 5 minutes but I’ve attempted to update it 4 separate times now with each attempt being 40+ minutes, one being an hour and a half (it never finishes updating and ultimately I have to give up before my car battery goes flat). Since attempting the update, I can no longer view my footage, or access anything else on it. At this point my dashcam is completely useless. Not to mention the completely ridiculous fact that anybody who has the app can see my dashcams location which is incredibly unsafe.
CarPlay issues
App used to work fine for remote viewing until started to use CarPlay. Now no longer able to connect to the cameras unless CarPlay is disabled. Very strange considering does not use CarPlay. Should really have to choose between CarPlay functionality and camera playback.
App has been working great.
I recently discovered that my BlackVue DR770X Box 3-Channel dash camera was restarting and disconnecting from the cloud, not because of this app, but because of the camera itself. For years, I experienced frequent cloud disconnects and assumed the app was the problem because I didn’t fully understand what was causing it. After troubleshooting, I found the real culprit: burn marks and oxidation inside the DC-IN power port, which caused unstable power. That power instability led to the cloud disconnects, and as the oxidation got worse, the camera eventually started restarting constantly throughout the day. I’m leaving this review because I was also one of the people who gave the BlackVue app a poor rating, thinking everything was related to the app. It turns out the real issue was with the camera’s main unit, not the application. If you’re experiencing frequent cloud disconnects or random restarts, don’t automatically assume it’s the app. The first thing I would check is whether your camera is overheating. Heat can damage the DC-IN power port over time, causing oxidation, unstable power, cloud disconnects, and eventually constant restarting. To prevent this from happening again, I built a custom cooling system using the same mounting bracket as my dash camera to keep air moving around the unit instead of allowing heat to build up in one spot. Since cleaning the DC-IN port and improving the cooling, my camera has been running much more reliably. I hope this helps someone else before they blame the app like I did.
Worst possible app on the plant
Too complicated app to use. Force to buy cloud memory. Selling too expensive dash cam and you cannot connect with your mobile on the road if you need to save footage. And in top if that dash cam cones with only 64gb data

Duplicated “connected” notifications still happening
Using iPhone 14 Pro Max updated to v4.11 and it’s still happening it started 3.9.25 for me every time dashcam connects to cloud I get two “connected” notifications showing the exact same time to the second. I know I am not the only person experiencing this issue.
WiFi issues
WiFi was working fine before this update. White light would come on when connecting. Now after this new update this doesn’t happen. And can’t connect to WiFi. Every update fixes something but breaks something else. Very frustrating can’t even update cam firmware because it “UNABLE TO CONNECT” after couple tries you’ll be lucky you connect to watch playback or live view locally Smh why ? Why? Especially in this day and age. I would expect this 20 years ago.
Needs indicators
Nice features. Needs a indicator on app when connected and sees cameras. The response is slow and frustrating when you wait and discover it’s not seeing the camera and not connecting.
Broke after update
Camera video no longer shows after update. Cannot get videos from camera. Software is being buggy, but the camera is acting fine from SD.
App need to be improve
I got 970 2 ch. when i connect to app to download the video app saying connecting. I have updated firmware in camera 2-3 time and still the same response.

Improved UI sucks
Why did you change the UI? I have 2 cameras and I have to expand the tiles each time for each one. Why can’t both just stay in the open position so I can quickly access what I want to when I have 70% of my display empty? How is this an improvement if I have to tap every single time an additional step? I paid a premium for a good dash cam with a good app. This isn’t good.
Slow and Inconsistent in Connecting to the Dash Cam
Takes very long trying to connect to my DR590X-2CH. Half of the time it will load the spinning loading circle for a while before the prompt asking if I want to join and connect to the dash cam wifi appears. Click on Join, it will take a while with the spinning circle again before the recorded clips appear. As for the other half of the time, it just hangs at the first spinning circle and the prompt asking to join the dash cam wifi does not appear.

Wifi connection problematic 750S-82C02B
Tried hours & could not find wifi network. Voice announcement is annoying & not clear. Pulled the plug and left it as a physical deterrent.
Issues solved
I just bought a new camera and when downloading the app i was terrified of the app reviews and the app not functioning properly in ios 13. It took some time to set up but i have no issues with connecting and the app so-far runs good. I just don’t know how to use the firmware update in the wifi section. Because your hotspot is disconnected from the internet. However it works well via the cloud part of the app.
App ruins the cameras. Frustrating and impossible to use.
The previous app worked great, for years and years, with many blackvue cameras. The new app. It’s utterly useless and frustrating to use. Won’t connect. Does its own thing. To the point that I won’t, and can’t, buy another BlackVue. Why would you, when the app, the primary way to use the camera, barely works, and when it does, refuses to connect, or lags in a forever cycle of loading.
App isn’t user friendly
The app is hard to use, hard time connecting to cameras. If only they could make it easier to use on the app.
Connection issue
The new update doesn’t support live view Even though I have active subscription of cloud and active Internet sim.
Rarely connects to the car dashcam
When this app works it’s reasonable however it connects only 1 time in 10 so is very poor in what it exists for. Support is minimal, they send the same settings through an auto responder. Only way to get footage off the camera is to remove the SD card and use in a computer

Doesn’t continually record
Since I purchased the cameras they have never always recorded even with brand new car battery. The time is off by 23mins ahead, app doesn’t always connect to cameras to play/DL. The company I purchased from didn’t help me nor tell me I need to buy a SEPARATE battery for camera in order for them to continually record. Nor did the BV company itself didn’t respond back to me. I’m still having issues and I paid a lot for these cameras that are supposed to be top

Disappointment
Can never get playbacks . Can never log in to camera WiFi - when I do get an image it is a screen full of vertical outlines . Very expensive junk !

Na update van 20 december 2017 opent da app maar zodra je een WiFi verbinding wilt instellen sluit de app onmiddellijk op mijn IPhone 7. Hoop dat het snel wordt opgelost
Unusable on iPad
Clearly the developer assumed that an iPad is just a large iPhone. The screen is locked in portrait position, so you cannot use it normally. This is especially annoying on a larger screen iPad, like the 13 inch Air or Pro. It would not be acceptable to require the user to turn their laptop sideways to use an app; why is it ok to expect it on an iPad? Anyway…. Service is ok, a lot of connectivity problems, especially when using AirPlay. Seems like you cannot have both AirPlay and camera connectivity on at the same time. Bummer.
