What people like
- Sound quality is truly outstanding
- Easy to turn off voice prompts
- Very user friendly and simple app
What they complain about
- Connects are unreliable and frustrating
- Party mode often fails to work
- Battery levels don't show for each speaker
Convenient
Simple app. I like it
Doesn’t work
Mobile device not found x3
App raises privacy, and therefore, security concerns
App leaves a bit to be desired. >It doesn't re-orient the display to match the orientation of the device. >There is no logical reason, other than Exploitation Of Our Data and Breach Of our Privacy (which raises Security Concerns), that Bose would be need our Identity, our Identifiers, or our Contact Info to use this app. Since we can't use the speakers without the app, I cannot recommend Bose Bluetooth speakers. Which is sad because Bose makes decent speakers. That cost them a star.
Poor user experience
Bose makes it difficult to connect to multiple Bluetooth devices. It would be helpful if, on opening the app, the Connections screen pops up immediately so users can choose which Bluetooth device they want to connect to. Instead, my headphones connect to devices that aren’t turned on. When I open the app I get prompted to a screen wherei have to slide my finger to connect to my phone. If I want to connect to anything other than my phone, which is usually the case, there’s no direct way, not even a menu option, to access the Connections screen. Not having an option to choose which device I want to connect to is so frustrating and a waste of time
Battery 90%
My Bose earbuds are nice but the one flaw is so bad…announcing the battery level in my ears when I’m trying to doze. It never does this when I’m multitasking, only when I’m kicked back and trying to drift off to sleep. FIX IT

This app has significantly good features That’ll allow you to change things that you want to
No option available
Not compatible with Soundlink Max
Glitchy
The app is very glitchy when connecting to surround sound speakers. Sometimes it works great, other times it takes several attempts to connect or I have to delete the app and reinstall it to get it to work. Very frustrating. When it works the sound is amazing!
Super
Très fluide
Poor functionality
Can’t change your email address, not able to access any real relevant information, highly limited functionality. For the product prices surprisingly poor technology here. Perhaps other platforms (Karden) would be better?
The Sound
I love how easy to carry or place on a space in my home that sounds awesome. I’m hearing impaired and with two of these!! Well I feel the beat and hear the Melodies lost when I lost my left ears hearing !! Now I love music again !!! Thanks Bose ….👍🏽 Update 2026 I had two . One would not charge.i tried to contact Bose about why? I was told nothing on how to fix it . Weather it was a software update or firmware issue. I tried to get it to charge! I had this …unit less than 2 years. The original I bought in 2019 has never had a problem. If you have an answer for this . Please 🙏🏽 I’d like to hear it . Other than that . I love the speakers .
Hardware is great. Software is rubbish
Just buggy and poor. Seriously. You are doing your hardware a disservice.
Great speakers, horrible party mode
I have multiple brands of Bluetooth speakers. The Bose Revolve II and Revolve are the best sounding. I would implore Bose to give the party mode/ stereo mode a revision because the current method of connecting the two speakers is fff…finicky to put it politely. The two speakers can be side by side, fully charged and the app can’t see them. Or it kicks one off inexplicably.. or tells me to pair one that’s already playing. It shouldn’t take 5 minutes to f..screw around with these speakers, speakers that should connect better considering their price. My next set down on the totem of Bluetooth speakers is the Go4 by JBL. These two connect together in a less than a second, they automatically go to stereo mode. Give your app a memory, one could set it to ask if party / stereo mode is desired or give the option to do it automatically.
Great Product
I’m very please with my Bose speaker products.
Very Finicky
App does not consistently connect to “supported” devices. Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling helps, but it’s extremely frustrating for such a high end speaker product. Stereo and party modes for multiple speakers require even more effort and rarely work properly. My friends are connecting their JBL, HK and even freebie speakers, and laughing as I’m struggling with my Bose speakers and this app. Not a great look Bose, do better.
More info from the app
Bose Connect shows it’s connected to Flex SoundLink and in Stereo mode. But it has a single battery level. Please have it show the battery level for EACH SoundLink.
Great Speakers, Bad App.
Absolutely a failure of an app if you want to connect two Pro S1 speakers via Bluetooth… multiple attempts will finally succeed. I’d expect more from Bose. Seemingly the app has not improved since I acquired the speakers in 2021. (It’s 2026 now). Two stars, because the speakers are great . Please improve for this particular issue: two speakers on Bluetooth
Reliable but needs tweeking
Connectivity is generally excellent but I keep havng to constantly recoonect to it after a15 mnutes if inactivity.
Having Bose is an unbeatable experience!
I have been using a Bose speaker and a headset for several years, and the sound quality they deliver is truly outstanding, offering rich, clear audio with deep bass. Both devices have demonstrated remarkable durability, continuing to function flawlessly despite frequent use. I'm planning to explore Bose's latest catalog because I haven't checked their new releases in a while. I appreciate everything about Bose, as their products consistently deliver top-quality performance compared to competitors in the global market.
Great speakers, Kindergarten level app.
I love Bose products. Speakers? great. Headphones? Wonderful. Noise cancelling? Heavenly. So why in the name of everything holy and unholy is this app so bad? It used to SORT of work SOMETIMES. I could connect two speakers but no more for maybe 25 to 30 minutes before one fell off fir no reason even if they were in line-of-sight of each other and no more than 10 feet apart. Now? Nothing. Zip. Tried all three speakers individually and separately. I tried them already connected to my phone, not connected to my phone, and after I ‘forgot device’ on my phone. How can most of a company be the best in business then hire a room full of constipated squirrels to run their apps? OH! I almost forgot. I thought maybe it might work if I actually made an account and signed in even though I don’t see why buying a speaker from a company all of a sudden means we have to have a relationship and hold hands at the theatre. Freaks. But I was willing to try in order to, once more, PLAY MUSIC OUT OF TWO SPEAKERS AT ONCE IN 2026! Yet still it didn’t work. Thanks for nothing a-holes. It’s not like I have a million other things to do with my time. (That’s sarcasm for people who don’t speak English as a first language,, I very much have TONS of things to do other than sit with a phone and three speakers and an app created by a multi-billion dollar company trying to make that app fo what it was designed to do and which should have been easy ten years ago.)
Almost perfect
It would be a perfect score if only I had the option to adjust the treble/base etc.
Can’t connect to devices anymore
This was good, but the app doesn’t even work anymore. The most frustrating thing is that I can no longer connect both of my Bose speakers
Can’t connect Bose
I can’t connect my First Gen Bose Color Soundlink to the app. My Bose isn’t broken. I tried turning my Bose on and off but that did not work. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it but that didn’t work. My Bose was right next to my IPad. Please fix this.
Wonderful!
Bose Connect is wonderful!! Very user friendly, easy and simple! My wife and I love the sound system and its mobility. We enjoy using it in our backyard ! Beautiful clean and clear music out of the speaker .
Didn’t work
Made me download a second app to do anything. Trying too hard to push their products.
Functionality.
Great remote access. Pairing speakers a little clunky and unreliable
I wanted to like this device
…and instead every single time I set it up, whether through the Bost “Connect” App or through the iPad (in my case) Bluetooth setting, it’s always an argument between the two devices as to which volume counts, the + or - buttons on the actual device are for decorative purposes, serving no function whatsoever. Could you make a more confusing, unreliable, expensive product?
Causes Micro to Drop
The app works great. I had an issue where my sound link micro kept shutting itself off. Once I deleted the app, the issue was resolved.

Good product
Connection
This is the most buggy app I’ve ever used. I spent more time trying to connect my speakers. Then I do actually listening to music. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never had good vibes with this app never worked right for my phone iPhone 15 Pro Max it’s never worked on any of my phones always gives me issues. I always have to disconnect my Bluetooth device devices reconnect everything this app sucks.
Does what it needs to do
The music player in the app is pointless though
Needs update
I can’t pair with party mode any more this app needs an update for my soundlink speakers. Very frustrating it keeps telling me to pair and I do then it shows the same message to pair. What’s going on it’s not my speakers it’s this app.
Needs work
Speakers fail to connect into party mode 60% of the time.
Excellent purchase
I’m glad a friend recommended this portable speaker. It is a great asset to my day.
bug fixes
using this app, my speakers literally never connect and the party mode never works
More control
Good Bose app. More refined tuning of equaliser would be helpful
Party mode is patchy
Even with both speakers connected, party mode is inconsistent (iPhone 13 pro max). Often fails to see both for party to enable party mode and sometimes switches off on e of the speakers. Kinda makes these speakers not fit for a home. And you can’t setup party mode and then leave them connected, you have to reset it every use.
Slow connection
Love the sound but tedious to connect
Love my Bose headphones
The Best headphones I’ve ever had.
Unaware App
I'm already BT connected from my phone to Bose Flex Sound Link device. Phone says it's connect. Device announced connection. I can play music from my phone to device. BUT app insists that I'm NOT connected and won't allow me to go any further until I connect to a device I'm ALREADY CONNECTED TO.
Party mode
Would prefer if I could setup party mode as a default as I always want my downstairs speakers to play the same thing.
Great…. When it works!
Very frustrating at times, but once connected it really enhances the Bose experience. However be prepared to repeatedly switch off your speakers, reconnect, switch off again, swear a lot, reconnect, disconnect, switch off before it will eventually connect. Oh and then Party mode is when the fun really begins.
Why not landscape and portrait
App works but it can’t be too hard to make it work in Landscape and Portrait…. Please. 😉
Great!
I love the app! I can finally turn off the voice prompts. It was so embarrassing when I couldn’t control that before. I also love that I can see the charge level on the battery.
Oweful
The worst app to connect speakers to your iPhone. You have to spend hours trying to connect them. Once you have done it they get disconnected for no reason. No more Bose products in this house. We definitely will move to SONOS. More friendly and less complimented.
Pretty good but could be better
Recently, my fabulous Quiet Comfort Headphones have developed some simple but important pairing faults. It would be very helpful if this App could provide a clearly sign posted reset feature.
Very poor quality software.
Given the price of their products and the quality you would have thought that their App would be as good. It’s not. It can’t even tell that my Bose headphones are connected though I have them on and they’re connected and in use. It doesn’t show all my Bose products, I need both apps for that and both are as unstable and awkward to use.
Ok but needs work.
Get confused if there are two devices. Bose Revolve sound link
