What people like
- Great for watching favorite shows on the go
- Shows upload quickly after they air on TV
- Smart suggestions help you pick what to watch
What they complain about

- You must have cable to watch most shows
- App crashes often or won't stay logged in
Phenomenal Programming
Keep it coming!!!!
Fix This App, PLEASE!
Reading these 2-year old reviews makes it clear that OWN doesn’t want to own up to this terrible app! Love the network but why isn’t ANYONE trying to fix this??? App STILL crashes - if you can even connect your TV provider because the sign on screen frequently doesn’t work. If it does, forget staying signed in for two weeks because you’ll be signing on every 2 hours! How sad that a media mogul can’t fix their media!
Purchase
I like own but it only allow you to purchase with a major company. It won’t allow you to just purchase the own app.
Can’t watch OWN in my zip code…again
I have Hulu Live as my TV provider and I was able to watch all of my shows on OWN until a few weeks ago. I contacted Hulu and they said OWN dropped from the network in my area so that’s why I can no longer watch! This happened on our cable network a few years ago! Why does OWN drop from certain zip codes randomly without notice? It’s like you have to dance to figure out how to watch every few years. The exclusivity of OWN is becoming a bit of a nuisance.
Less ads, please
I love this network watch it all the time, sometimes I have to give it a break because the commercials are more than three minutes and that’s a drag. Hopefully we can minimize it to at least one or one and a half minute thanks.
Loving OWN
Truly wish you would expand your weekly shows…. Missing Greenleaf and especially QUEEN SUGAR!!!!!! As a professional, hard working African American woman… these shows help keep me grounded and sane. Kudos you, Oprah Winfrey!!!!!
Wrong you are URL for optimum.net
I downloaded the app on the TV. It gave me the activation code, except for the fact that the app only goes to altice.com people who have optimum for a long time I log into optimum.net and it does not work for altice please add another link so that people can login and put the code in and watch it on TV. I don’t like watching shows on my phone.
Great app
Love the app. I like that shows are uploaded as they air ☺️
Too many ads
I watch this while riding my stationary bike. I hardly can see the episode due to the number of ads. Frustrating
Content is versatile and I love getting notices !
I appreciate the pop ups that makes suggestions on what I should watch.
Can’t watch.
Terrible idea to not allow internet streaming in 2025. Who still pays for cable?
Too many commercial
I love own but it has too many commercial for me
Love and Marriage Huntsville
Fabulous!!
Ads
Love the network in it self but it’s to ads I understand that’s how money is generated on the network but when the ads become longer then the actual content/ show its gets to become overwhelming and makes yo not want to watch the shows we really love I know a lot of people that watch the shows on YouTube to avoid all the ads it’s less there I’m assuming.
Tonight OWN on cable is stuck - had to try the app
Tonight OWN on cable is stuck - had to try the app
Love in Huntsville
Love it ❤️ thanks O
Huge Miss
You have to link your cable provider to watch much of the content. In 2025? Many people have cut cable to stream exclusively and would pay a subscription fee to access programs. However, that’s not an option. Specifically I wanted to be able to watch the current season of Family or Fiancé. I guess I can’t. The company is missing a lot of money and a lot of viewers are finding other things to watch that are easily accessible. I hope this is something in the works because I love my Tracy.
Own is my favorite network
I just love watching OWN. Most of my favorite movies are on this Network ❤️
Way too many ads
That’s the review
The best
The best ever!!!!!
Can login through cable network
This has been happening for over 6 months
The best app ever
Love the own app cause I get to see my favorite people and shows me on the go and also it sure some in handy when u siting at the doctors office and waiting to be seen so it really this a great app
Can’t watch last season but will let me watch current season
I am logged into the app and linked to a tv provider. When I try to watch season 8 of Love and Marriage Huntsville, I get an error stating “this video is from a network that's not included in your TV package. Please contact your TV provider to update your package.” The strange part is that I can watch the season 9 episodes with no problem at all. Why is that? This app is trash…
This I like the show but I wish thier was not so many commercials
Comercial
Add
The ads repeat 3 to 4 times before going back to the show
Too many commercials
……
Too many stupid commercials
THE ADDS ARE SERIOUSLY OVERBEARING AND EXCESSIVE!!! THATS WHY I DELETED YHIS APP YOU PEOPLE ARE TOO MONEY HUNGRY. You only get to watch 2 minutes of the show and every commercial is more than 3 minutes long it’s very annoying and greedy. This is why I stopped dealing with this app. It’s excessive and it’s not even worth it. Just pure greed!!!! Better off watching YouTube. Sorry a** thirsty people.
