One of the Best Interactive Fiction Games I’ve Ever Played
The storytelling is so immersive and vivid, and there are so many branch points that you really feel the impact that your choices make on the characters and the story. You can really feel the blood, sweat, and tears that went into this incredible game. I read the creators’ note, but I do hope they find the opportunity to continue Timecrest 4 and 5 whenever they can! It is such an amazing story, and I cannot wait to experience it to the end.
Your reading speed is capped
Unless you’re a 10 year old learning to read don’t bother with this. Your reading speed is capped. Imagine that. You have a book infront of you but nomatter how fast you can read, you cannot see the rest of the text. Trying to be real or immersive idk, some bs. The waiting is already pretty bad, you can’t progress chapters without waiting or spending some crystal currency or something. Ads would’ve been better but hey, I’m no dev or writer so idk. Maybe this makes more people pay. But the absurdly slow to pop up text is infuriating. There’s no way to skip the animation too. 10 words take a whole minute to load. This might’ve been worth the wait but this is just madness. Call me impatient but the average reader isn’t patient enough to wait for the next words to load. I just read too fast for this.
Timecrest honest review opinion
I like Timecrest It’s pretty good and accessible for blind and visually impaired users, but in my opinion, I don’t think there should be options for how you can message Ash. I think there should be a little text a little text field after the ashes waiting message. that’ll be easier to say what you want instead of having options that you might not wanna say I think this will be a lot better than having options because the users will be able to express their opinions on what Ash should do and what her journey should be like I know she should have her own opinion too, but we should, but as our role in the game as the time age, I think it’d be better if we had our own text field where we could enter message messages to Ash instead of having options
The background music is annoying.
It’s really good, but the background music is annoying. Is there anyway to turn it off? And I can’t seem to move past a certain point in the story so it seems to keep repeating the same part of the story which is annoying.
Timecrest busy timer makes it more fun
I love the game. It has a great design to it. And I’m very excited to see time crest four. However, the voiceover can sometimes get boring. Mainly because it pronounces all the voices which can get boring. Another problem is the notifications. When you’re done playing the game, it constantly sending notifications can become very annoying. another thing is the money. I’ve spent quite a lot of money on this game in the hopes that they would make Timecrest for I understand that that takes a lot of money but still. I would like to have some confirmation that my contribution to the game is being used other than that I love the game.
really enjoying this
I am really enjoying the game Timecrest. Everything that you read or respond to helps you decide what to do next. This game is definitely worth playing more than once. The way that the characters appear is almost like if you are talking to someone through a live chat, except you are not. It's a very interesting game. This is one I would definitely recommend. can't wait for Timecrest for.
nunya
very good storry game but ash is very dumb
Timecrest I really love this game because I could be late to Luther Timecrest
I love this game because I can relate to Luther Timecrest playing this game is like messing with your life
Good until you get a new phone
The option to save the game in Game Center is burried deep in the settings. Wish I knew about it before I got rid of my old device! Not even sure if I can restore the packs I bought.
Great game but wait times too long
I love this game, it’s beautifully written, and very immersive, however, the wait times are very long. You need to buy time crystals in order to purchase skip crystals, and the time crystals are very expensive, I wish they would have better pricing.
Super cool game!!!
Me and my mom both love this game. I think the animations are so cute on the music page thing! And also I love the music it’s so majestic and sets the mood. Yippee!!
It doesn’t work
It doesn’t work on my iPhone. It doesn’t really load. I can’t press any of the buttons and the text doesn’t appear. It used to be good but then overall doesn’t work anymore.
Fantastic story with fantastic accessibility
This game surprised me and surpassed my expectations in so many ways. The world building is very interesting and well-done, the characters are colourful with intricately-crafted backstories, the soundtrack is excellent, and to top it all off, the app has incredible accessibility for blind and low vision players. I can't get enough of this game and discovering new content with every play through.
Timecrest
If you want this to be a better game, let timers use time crystals instead of skip crystals, and add a permanent master of time
One of the best games I’ve played this year.
I’m enjoying this game so much that I can’t put it away. I love the story, and the Game mechanics and most importantly what the dev has done with accessibility. If you are a developer and want to know how accessibility should be implemented, time crest is the best example
Don’t understand

A timeless adventure
As a fervent enthusiast of immersive storytelling and interactive experiences, I embarked on an unforgettable journey through Timecrest, a game that seamlessly blends captivating narratives with intricate gameplay mechanics. From the moment I delved into the world of Timecrest, I was entranced by its rich and dynamic storyline. The game’s narrative unfolds like a finely woven tapestry, each thread intricately connected to the next, creating a mesmerizing tale of time travel, adventure, and self-discovery. The characters, from the enigmatic Ash to the charming Morty, are brought to life with depth and authenticity, making it easy to form genuine connections with them as the story progresses. As I navigated the twists and turns of the storyline, I found myself immersed in a world where magic and mystery collide, and where every decision I made had a tangible impact on the outcome. One of the most remarkable aspects of Timecrest is its music, composed by a small creator who poured their heart and soul into every note. The soundtracks, which add depth and atmosphere to the gameplay, are a testament to the power of following one’s passion, even in the face of adversity. It serves as a reminder that the most meaningful experiences often arise from the simplest of beginnings, and that true artistry lies in the ability to evoke emotion through sound. Sometimes, when you’re on the verge of giving up on your dreams or your passion, that’s precisely when you experience your breakthrough. As I delved deeper into the game, I discovered a vibrant and supportive community of fellow players, united by their love for Timecrest. The dedicated fan-run Discord server, in particular, serves as a hub for discussion, collaboration, and camaraderie. Here, players come together to share theories, offer advice, and celebrate the joys of gaming, making the overall experience of Timecrest all the more enriching and rewarding. In conclusion, Timecrest is more than just a game—it’s an unforgettable journey that immerses players in a world of magic, mystery, and adventure. While the timers can stretch to lengthy durations, potentially frustrating some players, those who persevere may uncover a narrative that deeply resonates with them. With its compelling storyline, innovative gameplay, and supportive community, Timecrest offers an unparalleled gaming experience that will leave players eagerly anticipating each new chapter. As I eagerly await the next installment in this captivating saga, I can’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to embark on this extraordinary journey through space and time.
Time wasted
I loved this game, I didn't have a problem with waiting sometimes 10 hours for the character to do his thing because to me it seemed like a realistic timeframe. However was disappointed with the in game money grabbing feature, which I refused to pay, instead I waited three days to collect the gold required to progress. Then when I did progress, one more day of playing had me at the end of an Incomplete story which just had me asking more questions on what was going on! The game finishes by asking you to get Timecrest II when it releases. Wish I never bothered.
🎉1-2-and stop.
This game can hold your interest if you have some patience. Each play through has opportunities to find out something new in the story / world. Who Durant like a good mystery and searching for clues? The new addition of part 3 seems promising, if a few tweaks can be done. Unless you enjoy screen readers saying “description” in every other sentence and a few redundancies that could be edited out, I would just skip Luther’s game.
This game is awesome possum!
I absolutely love this game! It’s so addicting! I hope you guys will continue to make more games like this and thank you for thinking of the totally blind and visually impaired crew out here as well! I’ve just made it to part three Luther! Can’t wait to see where we end up next! If only we could go back in time in real life right? :-) This game definitely provokes some thought too! Thank you again and I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
Terrible and slow
Get on with it. Being forced to wait for text to appear to read the story is stupid and makes you want to delete the game. Didn’t make it past chapter 1 before doing so.
Awesome game! When will there be a big fight happening?
I really love this game. The story is great and… I love using my imagination to interact with the characters. I love how many different responses there are. There needs to be a big fight between a few of the characters. :-) It doesn’t feel complete at the end of the game. I played it when it first got the major update, and… I was so amazed by it. But… It left me wanting a little bit more. are you guys working on a fourth chapter? If you are… Please make it come out soon. :-)
So so buggy
Guys, you need to sort out the syncing between the watch and the iPhone. I've played the same chapter three times now as the watch doesn't sync with the phone and vice a versa. Honestly I don't think I can sit through the same boring conversation for the 4th time! The premise is great, however the execution at this point in time is shockingly bad and so buggy I'm surprised you're even saying its watch compatible.
Pretty good
I like the game a lot. I would give this game more stars. But I'm giving it 3 for a reason. I bought some gems. I had a lot. Now I don't have any gems anymore. What's going on. DX
Relaxing
The voiceover accessibility in this game has been absolutely beyond amazing! I find it to be very enjoyable and relaxing. I’ve always been into interactive fiction and this is a great way to alleviate stress and just have a sense of peace and serenity while playing the game. It’s one of those games where When you’re cuddled up by the fire or you’re on a long road trip you can just sit back and chill while you read and make choices in the game. Love it!
24 hours waiting time?!
If you want to play this game, you will have to have a lot of patience. Or pay up in cash. In order to have an reasonable waiting time, you will probably have to spread $31 on time crystals in the first few chapters. This is not reasonable at all. I’ll gladly spread $10 on this game however that will not get me having to sometimes wait 10 hours for the next story bit. I do not have Twitter or Forum account, as the thought of having a social media account gives me a panic attack and anxiety issues. I went to browse their YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Forums which only got me about 200 time crystals.
my review
I hate how Riley and/or AC have to die. I don’t like the dark parts of the game, but I love the game itself. My favorite game is Timecrest 3.. Luthor is so talkative and sweet. I really want Timecrest 4 to come out. I like how good the accessibility with Voiceover is.
Could be better
I generally like this type of games, unfortunately you seem to have to wait a lot which damages the game play. I've just started the game and already I had to wait 5 mins because someone had to 'process' the information I gave them and now I'm waiting 20 minutes because e needs to examine a rock and see if something happens. Unplayable! Will uninstall
Great story but...
There are some bugs. A few times now I've gone into the game only to find the timer has been reset for something Ash is going to do. I've been waiting for over a day now for Ash to go down the Main Street! Will he ever get there? How long is this street!!!!!!!
Mostly good
Good story. However, I wish there were times where we had more options to choose from. There are times when dealing with Ash or Scarlet that I would’ve done stuff different, but wasn’t given the option. Example, if I’m going through, I’m just trying to be a bully to Ash, there’s no options that will eventually make her realize that I may not be a good person. Or that she needs to grow up and face reality that she’s just not smart. Or in Scarlett‘s case, that she needs to get over, loving her brother as much as she does or just being point-blank honest with her sometimes blunt. Or make her angry with me because I don’t see how she can love her brother as much as she does.
Horrible
This game is boring. Barely any interaction and the story line is boring. Deleted
Awesome game
This is one of the best games ever! Keep up the great work, but I do have a suggestion. I think we should have more Skip Crystals, because I don't really like to wait for long periods, and I keep on running out of Skip Crystals. Other than that, this game is super awesome!
Good game, but needs work
I'm quite enjoying the story, but the experience is constantly hindered by the need for gold. Only last week, I had to wait a full 3 days for enough gold to buy a teleport orb (without which I could literally not progress any further), and now I have to wait another 3 days for the same reason. An in-game way to earn gold would be good, or perhaps give more than 50 per day?
Question
Why can’t I use my gold to get the sound tracks in time crest.
:)
Amazing story, great characters, epic soundtrack, and very accessible. Plus it's not pay-to-win, which is highly appreciated.
Amazing game
This is a great game fun to play but when is Timecrest four coming out?
Jumpy Reading with voiceover
When reading through new messages from Ash, voiceover loses focus and jumps to messages I've already read.
The best interactive story app ever!
This “game” is amazing. I only add quotations because it’s more of an interactive book but that’s neither here nor there. The characters you meet are so likable and you really get to know them along side Ash. The villains are complex and the story take twists and turns you could never see coming. I will admit that the waiting sequences are annoying but the amazing story and world building and characters more than make up for it! If I could rate higher, I would. I recommend giving this a go. You won’t regret it.
Very enticing and fun for a game that lacks action
This is such a fun game, between this and lifeline are my two favourite "choose your own adventure" non linear story games. This game is significantly slower however then lifeline which is sort of upsetting at times when you have to wait almost an hour for an action to occur.
