Great clean app
Worst app ever
I wish I could put a 0 star because even a 1 star is to high for this app. It just restricts you when you use it and then they don’t ever lift it and support is even worst. I was using this for work but would recommend just getting a line on another phone then using this app. Waste of time and money and the worst support ever.
Update Glitch
Today’s update broke it! (iPhone 17)
Has big flaws
Two biggest flaws: #1. You can’t save names of contacts in the app only. #2. When someone’s calls me, my phone doesn’t ring no matter what settings I set. I only see missed calls and have to call them back. When I do, the app uses a stranger number to make the call.
Ok
When I’m on a call it will display the wrong caller id info of the incoming call.
2nd Line
This is a great app. Everything works as advertised. 💯
Worst app ever
I got banned on 2 different accounts for calling to many numbers. Worst app ever don’t recommend
Mute Messages
Good app but need to be able to mute text messages and use GIPHY
okay but the push notifications spam
I’m using this to manage my church calling so I don’t ignore texts or voice on my main line, but can you do something about having your daily tips and tricks as push notifications? i think they’re helpful but i don’t want the distraction of thinking i got a push notification from a real person
DEVELOPER PLEASE RESPOND
I loved this app to death. It worked great and did everything I needed it to do amazingly. Yet one day I was randomly banned and cut off from the app now when I try to log in I just get an error code and have no idea why. Please help!
10 out of 10
Nothing complicated about this! So intuitive, so easy to use! It’s crazy that it’s free! But I’m glad it is!
Poor staff
Got blocked my a staff member for simply using the app, wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone.
Pretty good service
This is extremely convenient, to have my work phone tied to my personal one. The calls sometimes don’t come through clear though, and sometimes I don’t get images when sent through text. Overall it’s been pretty good for the price
Clunky At Best & Expensive
I have been using Sideline for at least 5 years now. It has always been bare-bones but it generally served its purpose - a second phone line for my business through my iPhone. However, the pricing was increased in mid-2023 (from $9.99/month to $14.99/month) while also removing the ability to download texts, something I need for my profession for compliance reasons. In addition, the app often doesn’t notify me when I have a new text, usually b/c I have missed downloading an update to it (I have no idea why there are so many app updates when the service is so bare-bones). I find the service a necessary evil but will be looking at other alternatives to replace it in the near future b/c copying & pasting (or screenshotting) my texts is not a good long-term solution for me, especially not for the increased monthly cost.
Overpriced
Not worth the money
Great service and always updating
I’ve been using sideline for a few years now. It’s fantastic to keep work/personal calls separate. The ability to auto send texts to missed calls is worth every penny. It ensures that I respond to every single call that comes in. It’s constantly getting updated and improving the service.
Poor communication
I was using the app as well as several of my team members, yes we use it to call people, and I then was blocked with no warning, I woke up this morning with my account blocked which my payment was charged 3 days ago funny enough… you’re not allowed to be unblocked from the app, the support people say “sorry, that’s all I can do” that’s the most robotic answer they could’ve given me.
Great 2nd Line App
I’ve been using this app since summer 2020. They’ve gone up in price.. A Lot. But each year they make good changes, especially if you’re an iOS user. They really try to mimic the user functionality of Apple. I do wish they could improve on reactions such as sending emojis and gifs. Other than that. It’s very useful!
Limiting calls
There’s a limit to how many people I can call, it’s frustrating
Expensive but Service is great
It’s a bit pricey to be honest but I rather pay the cost and have something that really works without ads, without pauses, and that it can ring anywhere in the city without wifi. This is great for me and I love using sideline. Oh and calls never drop or fail. Thank u very much
Poor Quality
“This is the most horrible phone service app out there. They’re so worried about their appearance? They should be more worried about function. Every survey is about appearance. My messages don’t go through to people, almost weekly. I don’t get notifications for messages, so often I’ll open the app to send something out and have messages waiting. YOU MAKE ME LOOK BAD. I am a doctor utilizing an app so I don’t have to carry two phones while raising a family and it has not only lost me business, it has failed me in showing up for my clients and operating a professional establishment. Their “support” has never helped me either but has always just pushed off the problem. I’d only recommend this app to someone looking for a CHEAP phone line to let their business FAIL.”
Update broke the app
Love the app, but after latest updates I miss all text messages, no more sound or any other notifications of incoming messages, this issue makes this app useless in most cases!! I will change the review if developer fix this, but so far already few months nothing fixed. If you need just a second line for phone calls sometimes- app is ok , but if you need full service I will not recommended until they don’t fix the messages problem.
Good for me
It does its intended purpose, cant complain.
Restricted account for no reason
Save your time and money - don’t use this app!!! Restricted my account I was using for business because of zero reason and support said they can’t help. Horrible company
Best calling app so far.
This app is the best calling service I've ever used, just like a traditional phone. I have a suggestion for the web app: it would be great if they could enable calling features, not just texting.
Error creating account
I can't even create an account. I get a 8293 error. TOTAL FAIL FOR THIS APP!
Great
Amazing app. Love that I can change/Kill a number after 24hrs.
Restricted my service without knowing why
I had sent my wife several text to see how my signature came out and was automatically blocked and their support team said they don’t know the reason why and couldn’t restore my service. Ridiculous
Great option for a 2nd number! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have been using Sideline for over 10yrs. So long in fact, I think I am one of the original customers. My account says “early adopter” on it. Anyway, this has been incredible for me. You get a 2nd line on your phone (I use it as my business number) so I have my main line and the 2nd line. The best part of this app imo is the fact that you text and call from the same app and you can see all of the communications in one place. Particularly helpful if someone says they haven’t heard from you or they claim you are not responding to them. All the calls and texts are in one place. You can set calls and texts to have different ringers so you know when your sideline is ringing vs your main line. You can set out of office messages and have them respond to every call and text. Mine usually say I am out of the office for a week or so and who to call in my absence. It just does everything you need it to. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spam
Even with their spam blocker I get about 20 spam calls a day. Now I’m returning calls from people who said they never called me. Junk service. The company then acts like they are surprised by spam on their public facing answer. Totally disingenuous.
Worthless
I needed an app to provide me a second phone number for my part time job. I paid for the subscription and set up my account. Before I was even able to make a call or text there was a restricted notification. I reached out to them for help. They told me I violated the terms. I NEVER USED THE APP! So how could I violate any terms and all I did was simply set up my account. They told time to reach out to Apple for a refund. Apple denied my request. So money was stolen on an app that I could not use. Both companies completely failed to provide customer service to right their wrongs.
