What people like
- Great for tracking inventory.
- Developers respond to requests fast.
- Clean and easy interface.
- Helps remember liked or bad smokes.
What they complain about
- Catalog lacks many cigars.
- Data doesn't sync across devices.
- Manual entry is too tedious.
- Setup isn't intuitive for beginners.
Great tool
This app is a great tool for cataloging your collection of any size! It also helps to remember what cigars I liked and which ones were bummers. It’s interesting to look at some of my own stats and see that I happen to favor smokes from Nicaragua.
No that great
It’s not working, every time I want to open the app it does not work . Nothing comes on. I want a refund.
Useful
I use it to keep track of new cigars I have tried. Lots of options but I do with you could organize the list. It's completely random where a new item ends up on the list.
Barcodes
Would be better if you could scan barcode’s
Almost perfect
For a collectors of fine tobacco products, being able to adjust the wrapper color names would be great. Also a burn date and time option. When you sort by last burned it just gives you the last one entered, so not helpful. Being able to do subcategories in you collection would be great for like special editions.
The Best
Best cigar app out there.
Too limited
Was not expecting to only be able to keep track of 1 collection. This needs to be modified for keeping multiple collections waste of money
Great App
This is a great app, I've enjoyed using it. Getting started wasn't super intuitive. However, I reached out to their customer service and they got me squared away quickly.
Just okay
Lacks a lot of features that would make things easier for tracking and convenience. Entire cigar database seems to be strictly based off of cigars input by only the users.
Good and Bad
While this seems to be the only app out there to list cigars in your humidor. You will have to list one for you iPad a separate one for the MacBook and a separate for the iPhone. Data will not be shared between devices. But the information is mostly pre-listed and somewhat accurate.
Get This!
Perfect app for cigar collectors. Super clean interface with a deep catalog for auto filling details.
Can't add new cigars
Their is a bug now that when I go to add a new cigar it won't let me select a country of origin, and that us a required field so I can add new ones. Big problem.
Share app?
Is it possible to share this app so my son can have access to the current inventory and add and delete as needed?
Слишком сырое Приложение для этих денег
Разработчики могли бы подтянуть базу брендов и форматов, чтобы не забивать все руками... Напрасно потратил деньги...
Very useful, but…
There are a few functions missing. Has wonderful potential!! I wish it offered barcode scanning, updated catalog, and ability to export the data and/or back it up.
Great app
Easy to keep track. Thanks
Not worth the $$ database has not been updated on over 2 years!
Do not buy, the app is not being updated.
It could be better
There are very few, if any other, options in the App Store that do the same thing as CR. You could say they have the market cornered. I hope in further releases they make the app syncable across devices.
Solid App
I really like the app. I wish there was a column for pricing that could also be searched by. People want to see and sort by. Pricing, country, shape and strength.
Love it
Whoever is behind the curtain here is very responsive. I asked for a search feature to find my cigars and BOOM it was done in a day! Super rare service and much appreciated! Whoops-sorry for the two star reviews guys. Total accident-please accept my apologies!!! Fixed to five stars like I thought it was at to begin with. (:
Bad
Bad , couldn’t find my cigars and they don’t give much information about cigars anyway , just location and stuff like that . Lost my money
Almost perfect
If you could update the app with everything on the website, it would be perfect. Maybe it’s just the mobile version, but the website is buggy. It’s not accepting payment methods (I think the icons to tap are just pictures instead of links) you can’t edit certain things, and adding new cigars doesn’t always work. But the site has more categories, a larger catalog, and overall has a better look. Just combine the best of the two, update the app, and I’d pay twice what it costs now.
Not bad but not worth the money
I know the cigar world is ever changing but they don’t have many brands on here and if they do they don’t have the cigar on there. And some of these have been around for a long time. The other thing that isn’t great is the fact that if you try to enter in a different kind of wrapper then the ones they supply it crashes the app. It’s like they want to be right if not you can’t put your entry in. The only thing it’s great for is reviewing your cigars and know which ones you have.
Exceptional
I’ve been using Gigar Register for over a year now. I used to pull the bands off and tape them in a hand written ledger, the ledger became so thick I couldn’t write in it any longer. With this app it has become easier. Faster and at my fingertips. Extremely convenient. Nice job to the designers.
The catalogue is misses tons of brand. Unless app if you already have inventory sheet.
I got this to help me keep track of my cigars and I have spent more time inputting them into your unfinished catalog that I mine as well just kept them on my spreadsheet. I will not be using this app I don’t think and I know I wasted my money. Please get a full catalog with stick info already inputted like body and simple tasting notes. I would love a refund but know that I wont get one. Stay away from this app if you already have an inventory sheet.
Very good but could be better
If you are a cigar aficionado and have a decent collection of cigars, then you must have this app. There is no other app out there to compete with this app….. but if someone put a little work into this one they could charge double or more. Come on developers, upgrade the catalogue, you don’t have a single ACID cigar? I have a collection of cigars right at 200 sticks across 16 different brands, had to manually enter at least 40% of them. Like the title says, this is a very good app, but it could be amazing!
Good but……
Needs an update. To many newer sticks not in database
HELP!
I have had the Cigar Register app for a few years now and really enjoy it. I have my complete collection now logged in the app. I use it virtually every day to maintain accuracy. I see now on the web version that you can create an account to log in and use across devices. How do I create an account in the app so that I do not lose all of my collection data and so that I can use the web version as well?
Dont have cigar ratings
Unfortunatelly Dont have the básic information regarding cigars
Solid app
Really good for keeping track of your inventory. I had a few cigars I had to manually enter, but I would definitely recommend.
Fine but some features are missing
It would be great to get it upgraded with cigars pictures directly from database, to confirm the cigar selection easier, enable several humidors configuration, add filters to humidor cigar view, and repair access to camera tool (not working, only access to photo album is functional).
Good app. Can we have cloud support?
It would be awesome to be able to save this data on an account which can then be opened up in the website or the app. I lost my phone a while back and lost all of my data. I know you can back up files, but all under an account would be amazing.
Just OK
Downloaded app on my phone and entered my inventory. Next day downloaded app on my iPad and I must admit I was curious how the pp was going to recognize the data entered as it didn’t ask me for any login credentials. Sure enough it’s a single platform use. Too much money any 6.99 for an app that’s a single platform based access to your data. Please upgrade your app!!!
Good app for enthusiasts
Only complaint is it’s not super intuitive, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really a great tool. As a beginner it helps me keep track of what I have tried, liked, not liked etc. Better than just jotting things in Notes.
Please Add Wish List
This app is decent, although I think it’s over priced. Especially since you can’t create a wish list for cigars you want to try at a later date
A great way to keep track of your sticks
The Cigar Register app helps me to keep track of my ever changing cigar inventory.
Good app
Some updates that would make this best on Apple market is -have to be a reminder feature to remind when low or hyper link where to replenish stock with price matching or something - bar code scanner is a must . Android market has an app that scanners cigars and plugs in all this tedious work needed for this app and it’s free . Idk if it does this or not but if I take the time to type out all the info on a cigar that should be put into main list so others don’t have to do the same they can search what I made and not have to do leg work I did on my whole stock These things need dealt with and not ignored for something I paid for and more options are on android market for free
French version
Could we have french version ?
Excellent App.
This app is great for collecting all you favorite cigars data. It would be nice if you could share between friends.
Eva Maria lion Habano
I wish there was a way of taking a picture of the cigar and adding it to your list
