Horrible Game
Okay probably all of y’all are saying I love this game but I have to admit I’m on the 1 star side. I try to play the app but every time I press on the app it just says the company name and brings me back to my home screen? I don’t know why it does that I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because it’s old and it’s my mommy’s old one. I got so mad I had to come on App Store and give it a review to express my feelings. Please tell me if I spelled anything wrong I’m only 7.

This is my favorite game, I played it on the Wii and now I can enjoy it on my iPad and Apple TV, it’s really wonderful memories of my youth. Hoe it will keep updates and better & better

Love the game but why timers
I absolutely like this game but in the ranch and the other extra things there’s a timer. It kinda rushes me to do everything and then when the timer runs out, you can play it anymore! Also you have to buy most of the recipes.

Fun, but
Fun game, pretty accurate to the DS game I remember. But the ads never clear out. The little ‘x’ never pops up, so I’m forced to close the game every single time I finish a task if I want to keep playing because I can’t close the ads. Please fix it.

I hoped for a bit of what this game was like when i was younger but had to uninstall quickly because of the CONSTANT popups and ads! It feels cheap, and like there are no consistencies for ‘performing’ poorly in the game as long as you finish the task before the timer ends. I’d rather buy the actual game from nintendo or emulate it.

I literally downloaded this cos I remember playing it when I was younger. I click on the app and I literally got bombarded with 1 million ads and it got me so upset that I just deleted it. Why would I wanna click through 6000 ads before playing a silly game that’s meant to relax.

Overstimulating and confusing
The interface is HORRIBLE! The game controls are unclear, I can’t figure out how to navigate the game and there’s an ad\pop up every two seconds. Way too many unnecessary graphics, really ruins a nostalgic game

I Did Not Like Cooking Mama :(
I was very excited to play Cooking Mama due to the 4.1 overall star rating and good things I had heard about it. However, the second I opened the game I almost started seizing because there were so many pop-ups it was literally flashing in my face. It’s seven in the morning. I don’t know what all these buttons are doing and why are there so many. I’m overstimulated.

Genuinely unplayable due to the number of ads and pop ups. You have to close probably 10 separate pop ups just to get to the main menu. There are so many flashy things on the screen as well. If you are sensitive to flashing lights avoid this game.
Way too much going on…
I wanted this app because of the nostalgia, I loved Cooking Mama as a kid on the Wii and DS. I had the app version a long time ago, dunno why I deleted it, but figured I’d reinstall. While the core Cooking Mama recipe making and kitchen/mama customisation is like the original, the rest of the game features and general UI is way too intense, everything is thrust at you all at once in several pop-ups and flashing icons DO THIS! DO THAT! NEW! NEW ARRIVAL! GET THIS! WATCH AD! GET COINS! LET’S GO! in an already cluttered display with way too many additional game features that effectively make the core Cooking Mama gameplay feel like a side quest to all these extras which was my reason for uninstall. The restaurant, farm, and town etc feel too in depth to be fun little idle quests but just in depth enough to feel like they were almost supposed to be their own separate Cooking Mama apps, so they end up feeling like low quality excessive features. Overall feel for this app now compared to when I first played it is that there’s just WAY too much going on, it’s trying to be several different games in one and it detracts from the core Cooking Mana gameplay imo. I’ll stick to my DS :(

Could be better
It feels like a money grab. There’s ads EVERYWHERE and you have to pay for certain recipes. The game also almost ensures you don’t fail and will sometimes auto do the work for you. It’s subtle but I know I shouldn’t have done well on certain cases.
