Buggy
I really wanted to use this app but can’t even get through the setup because it’s so buggy. Wants a city as a mandatory field but no field on the screen for it. Then when adding a property suburb is mandatory but N/A is the only option and you can’t click on it.
Needs Instructions
A great app overall, but hard to navigate for people who aren’t commercial farmers and who want it more for noting observations in their herds. Also, with the latest update things got moved around and there is no tutorial or instructions for how to navigate the app.
Used to be fantastic
I have used this app for several years now. Truly was a game changer for tracking kidding dates, meds, sales etc. but with the last few updates that have been made I’ve been very unimpressed. I was having to double enter sales, add items in before I could made the transaction list. Now for what I see as the worst offense my animals individual profiles don’t hold any of the records! It won’t let me make notes or add that I’ve medicated them or done a hoof trim, nothing! It wiped all my medical and show records I had. Sadly if this doesn’t get fixed I may have to look for another app.
Okay, but expect more support for the money
Overall the functions of the app are good, I’m able to log my animal records and revenue/expenses in one place. My biggest complaint is there are missing help files on their website and they do not respond to messages in the app or emails, I have several issues I’m trying to troubleshoot and have not been able to get any support.
Love this app!
By far the best record keeping software I've been able to find and tech support is great. It's easy to use and will keep track of multiple species in multiple pastures. The ui is simple and easy to navigate. I recommend it to all the producers that I meet. Only 2 things I would change is I wish I could "click out" of the tabs instead of having to press X and it would be nice to have keyboard shortcuts like shift, tab and enter so you don't have to click as much. Otherwise, it is a fantastic app!
Expenses and Revenue not showing up when marking an animal sold.
Expenses and Revenue not showing up when marking an animal sold. Also bred doe cant be marked sold (isn’t working).
Very helpful
Good app but can you add some Texas sale market reports?? Gatesville or Hamilton would be great!
Won’t save
I really thought I was going to like this app but it won’t save the diagnosis
Great App, but slow to fix issues
First off, let me say I absolutely love the app. The frustrating thing for me has been how slow they are to address or fix the issues that pop up. Are utilize this for managing our registered, goat herd, and while initially I was able to link their ADGA registrations to each animal, this feature has not worked in almost a year. I have reached out to the customer support and been told that it will be fixed with the next update and so on, but this still has not been fixed. It’s frustrating when you pay for a service, and the features that they have won’t work. Outside of that I love the way the app works, and I’m able to manage and track everything.
Almost perfect.
Can't live without it... or make a living. Easy, and always in my pocket. Great support.
Used to be really good
I use the paid version and I switched because it was so good but the fact that I can no longer add just a line item and actually have to add the item to my products which is stupid if it’s something that I am purchasing just once is a giant pain. Not to mention that for some reason the sale of stock is not automatically added to my revenue which was the main benefit for my farm taxes. Now I have to go through and actually add the revenue so now I have to do these things twice. Your app was supposed to make my life easier not more difficult. Fix the issues you’ve created and I will fix my rating. Also the fact that 3/4 time I don’t get a response from support
Little problem.
It wouldn’t let me add new kids to my does
Not ready for prime time
Great in a lot of ways, and lots of promise. But little details are wrong. Lacks common colors (brown, and badger for instance. Lacks ability to add breeds not in the system already like Florida cracker, gulfcoast native, and st Augustine (to name a few). Also when dealing with multiple breeds, it doesn’t seem to update breed percentages with grace. Eg breed a Katahdin to a st Augustine it should know the baby is 50% Katahdin and 50% st Augustine. If that ewe is then bred to a second ram (let’s say he’s purebred Barbados black belly) it should be 50% black belly, 25 Katahdin and 25 st Augustine. The offspring from such a pairing show is 50/50 Of the original two breeds. Also you have “ram” (appropriate), “wether” (appropriate) and “female” which should be “ewe”. Lastly if I select sheep as my livestock type, it should show a picture of a sheep instead of a cow. I sent in a support request but have found more things since. Let’s see how it goes. I won’t subscribe if
Overpriced
Great app with good features, but their subscription price point is too high.
Useful/helpful app
I love this app. Is there a way to view a whole lineage tree at once to view or print lineage? It would be great if we would to be able to do that. If we could have a designated place for adding an animal’s awards, that would be great too. And if it showed the awards when viewing the presumptuous lineage tree.
A real disappointment.
This app has been a huge disappointment for me because I had such high hopes for it. The biggest issue is that you have to punch in all the animal data (you can’t upload csv file)… I punched all data on the first group of goats I bought and it took forever afterwards it became too labor intensive. If you have 10 goats it works great but not if you have a couple hundred.
Last update
The last update changed the sign in on iPhone. Now when you type in the email you the keypad covers the area your typing in
80.00 subscription!!!
This app doesn’t do enough for a 80.00 subscription. It’s a ripoff
Good app, just needs more upgrading
I like this app for managing my Herefords but for any of a number of popular breeds it’s useless. It doesn’t sync to the Angus Association, so you can’t manage those pedigrees. It doesn’t synch to ANY horse associations making it useless for horses. It’s missing several animals entirely. It’s a good basis but they need to put a lot more into it before it’ll be truly useful.
Great App for our goat farm
We like that this app keeps track of all of our Goats. We are able to see at a glance how many goats are in each pasture. It doesn’t matter if I’m at one property and my husband is at the other property. We are both able to use our phones to access the Goats. Whether it be to look and see who is up-to-date on medication or to change something within a Goats profile. It is also very handy that when we sell Goats, we are able to email the Goats profile, history and receipt to the new owner. The App also keeps track of your expenses and revenue. If we ever do have a question, we are able to message Livestocked and generally within 24 hours or so we receive a response. They are constantly updating the app with new ways to keep track of our farm which is always a plus. These are just a few things that we like about this app, but there are many more.
Disappointed
This App looked great from the beginning but once I started adding animals I ran into multiple issues. When adding percentages, you cannot select the exact number. One of ours is 59% Limousin, however the only options closest to that number are either 50% or 62.5%. I’d much rather have exact information rather than an estimated percentage. Also, you cannot enter registration numbers without selecting your association and those options are very limited. Not able to select an association means no ability to enter proper registration . Lastly, you are not able to enter Sire or Dam information unless those animals are part of your “Herd” which means no genetic information of any kind and no means to manually enter EPDs. With those discrepancies, it would be much easier to stick to an Excel spreadsheet.
Really good app but could be taken to the next level
I really like this app. A nice way to keep track of all my animals with the different species options. I would love linking to more organizations though. Specially the common horse organizations, and the belted Galloway society. But that is me being picky! The Boer for linking to registration worked great! I love the reminders I can set for vaccines, and keep a whole health record as well.
I can’t figure out how to sign in
It says login failed every time I try to log in
Great app
I have used both the free and paid versions. If you are just managing for pleasure the free app is great. I breed and sell Boer goats. I have used the paid version, this is my third year. The first year trialed this against quickbooks. That may be a wacky comparison for some. Granted quickbooks has rich features but it didn’t apply to what I needed. In this app I can track pastures, animals, supplies, how much I feed and when. It imports my goats pedigrees. I can treat a pasture when I’m giving vaccinations or an animal if something is going on with that animal. If you’ve updated your inventory when you treat animals it is deducted from inventory. I track all my revenues and expenses for taxes at the end of the year. The app will export to excel and you have all the categories to align with farm tax forms. If you ever have an issue even if it is user error the developer responds right away and helps you. I really can’t say enough positive about this app. I have it in the field with me. My goat vet had her annual visit and asked me a question I pulled it right up. She asked for the app, now she uses it at her farm and recommended it on Facebook to all her clients. I’m sure there is one thing I could come up with maybe to be able to separate expenses for horses vs goats. It may be in a higher version but I have made my own work around for it. 5 stars all the way!
Excellent for livestock tracking
I found this app to be the best one for tracking cattle. I was not able to add any registered American Angus Association registration numbers.
Help
1. I can’t find a way to update the app 2. I can’t add photos without a subscription but there is not a way to subscribe. 3. When was the last update for this app? 4. In the reviews the most recent review is from March - you state you are upgrading to a different version but I can’t find anything on updates. Are you phasing this app out? 5. Is there another version you have created and are going to keep up with? This is a lot of work and I am worried your done with updates for this app?
Love it
I love this app but... Why are you not able to link the goats registration anymore?? I loved that I could pull up the animal and see their pedigree without having to drag my book out or go onto the ABGA website to find it.
Photos
Could we please add photos to products just like we can with the animals
Right idea, needs work
Easy to add animals. App is Good for tracking bloodline, not quite as intuitive for tracking vet info.
Love it
I’ve been using this for 2 years now I love it. I love being able to enter the info directly from the field or barn into the app. Make record keeping cinch. I just wish you could pull a P&L report. Still an A +
Love the app and use it daily
I love the app and use it for our AHA miniature Herefords, our TWHBEA horses, our Myotonic goats, and our ADGA Nigerian Dwarves. I just wish the TWHBEA registry and the MGR registry would join and that the app recognized dogs.
Not working like I want
I hope there is a fix for this but right now I have a couple of issues with it. First I can’t get it to pull info down from AKGA...pedigree etc. If I don’t put info in the “right order” I can’t go back and change some info.. eg. If I submit registration before I change the other info I can’t edit the other info... for eg if I don’t change the species tab first I can’t edit it, have to delete the animal and make sure I follow the “right” order in entering data I know. Some fields are not available because I don’t have a subscription but there is not a place I can select to have one? Registration info does not alway “auto fill” even though I know the animal is registered. Or it will pull down one parent but not the other. Any help on these?
End to end
Allows us to record our entire enterprise from genetics to accounting. Works offline and keeps all employees in sync. Great app.
Handy to keep track of cattle and more
Works great for what I need
Easy to use, solid program
I’ve been using this right at a year I believe. Never had a problem with it and it’s very easy to use. Love the features such as keeping track of doses of medicines, costs, pasture movement, etc. My only wish is we also have swine and it would be wonderful to be able to use this program for them as well. But then we’d just be spoiled. Well done folks!
American Goat Society Support Needed
Love the product, but also need support for the American Goat Society (AGS) registration.
