4.4 out of 5, based on 429 reviews.
What people like
- Really fun and addictive gameplay.
- Great for passing time at work.
- Challenging clues make you think.
- Nice graphics look good.
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly now.
- App crashes when opening Pizza Toppings.
- Too many spelling and fact errors.
- You must pay to keep playing.
Why ads now?
Suddenly there is an ad after every level. USED to be an enjoyable game. Sigh…..
Uninstalling. No longer fun to play.
The new update makes game play tediously slow. More importantly, there are intrusive advertisements after EVERY board. My recommendation is to support a vendor that understands their user base.
Love the gameplay, developer unresponsive to issues with purchases
I love the concept behind this game, and really enjoy it. Had an issue with a purchase and couldn’t get a response from the developer (only reason I took off a star). Otherwise it’s one of my favorite games. Being able to find other words to charge your batteries makes this game much more enjoyable- I can solve categories I know nothing about just by finding other random words to charge batteries or find parts of the answer.
Lost for words
I love playing the game, however with the new iphone14 the camera in the center of the top blocks the words I am spelling out. Please adjust the viewing area for the new phones and the rating will be higher. Thank you
Love this Game!
Keep updating! It would take years to finish every single level so there is never ending fun. Could you add the Jonas Brothers, Post Malone, and the new Disney movies. Maybe have a new category in Music for the Top 40 for each year or each decade? Also could you update the new albums from Nicki Minaj and Ed Sheeran. Thank you!!!
Why?!!!
Latest update totally ruined this game! Why?
Closes on its own
Would give this 5 stars, but the game shuts down every time I try to choose Pizza Toppings.
Pizza toppings
Please fix pizza toppings-it just closes the app when I click on it. Tired of using disks because that is my only choice.
Love it!
I absolutely love the game very much but when I try to click on pizza toppings category the app crashes. I’ve tried restarting and restoring my phone and also deleting the app and installing it but it still happens. I don’t know why. That’s the only one I have a problem playing
I hate the new update
UPDATE: Scam! I paid to remove ads but I’m now getting ads again and can’t remove them. This was clearly the point of the update. Of course Apple doesn’t provide a way to report the scam. Original below: I’ve been playing LfWs for over a decade but the new update feels like a bad clone of the original. The graphics is uglier, the TEXT is tiny now making it hard to read. The feels like a completely unnecessary destructive change. I wish Apple didn’t force us to update the apps.
fun but crashes
I absolutely love this game, but every time i open the pizza toppings category my game crashes. it also crashes at random times. if they’d fix these little bugs it’d be perfect
Great game but too many requests for money
I love this game and had a totally free version on my kindle which I really miss. Pizza topping crashes my game!
Love
Love this game!!! It keeps my mind really hopping!!
Used to be good
I used to love this game and played all the time. Now it’s just full of spelling errors and wrong info. Kind of hard to get a word when the letter isn’t there, then you realize it’s just because they spell the word wrong.
Needs an update
Solid game. Great time. BUT, pizza toppings crashes the app. I’ve kept rebooting. Nothing works. Please fix
Good game, but can't move on
I was absolutely addicted to this game. But now I'm at a point where I can't move on. There are no more "free" categories, the categories that are there (that you can spend 1 data disk on) are all music (song titles of different artists) but playing those doesn't really move you along in that category as it disappears once you finish 1 round, and I don't have enough data disks to buy any of the packs. I'm basically just getting my freebie from the store everyday in the hopes that get a data disk. Either that or I'll have to break down and buy some, which I really don't want to do.
Absolutely Love
This is my favorite game to decompress with at the end of the day. One thing I would love to see added is a M.A.S.H. pack. :)
Conan
Never choose the category entitled Conan. I have reached the point where I can’t go no farther, all the choices are Conan only, and when I play and win, the counter stays at the same number. I don’t go up another level I just play the same level over and over and over and over again! I have no more data disc and it’s been forever since I’ve gotten a free one. Used to love this game. 🥹
Decent
This game is fun but I hate how you have to buy disks to keep playing and I wish you could look at all the ones you’ve completed because I feel like I’m not progressing with the game
One minor problem
The game itself is fun and challenging. However, in a word game, having the number of misspelled words and incorrect titles that this game has is completely unacceptable. At the very least there should be a button to report an incorrect spelling or wrong word.
Maxsmom
Makes you think!
Misspells words
Not only does this app miss spell about 10% of all the words, but it advertises inappropriate porn. Would not recommend for adults, let alone older children and teens working on spelling.
Love it
Just wish I could unlock categories faster and without having to spend money
Fun game
Love the game. Don't like that you have to buy the discs to keep going.
Can't stop!
I haven't been able to stop playing this game! The trivia part gets progressively harder, so I let my kids play the early categories until they need my help. We all love it!
Fun game!
Combines word search and trivia questions.
Really fun!!
Really fun!!
Addictive
Many errors (e.g. a whole bunch of books Raymond Chandler didn't write... Janis Joplin didn't sing "pieces of my hearth"), but I can't stop playing.
Love lost for words
Most addictive, could play for hours!
Fun!!!
Good way to pass the time!!!
Nice graphics. Challenging clues.
Nice graphics. Challenging clues.
Good game
Good game. Easily passes time at work for me
