Elmo's World And You reviews
4.3 out of 5, based on 2,174 reviews.
What people like
- Great for autistic or non-verbal children
- Packed with fun mini games and videos
- Kids love playing their favorite segments repeatedly
What they complain about
- Constantly asks toddlers to buy more stuff
- App freezes and crashes during use
- Very little actual content for the price
- Prominent store links trap kids in purchase screens
I love this game
Sesame Street was my childhood. So, to find a game that has Elmo’s World was a dream come true. Although, I would have liked more content. I did purchase the final episode in the game. And it’s Okey for what it is all in all. I love this game.
Torture
Cute app but like way too many of these Sesame Street ones it is really disappointing that it constantly shows your kid games they can’t access without you paying another $5 for what is essentially one tiny bit of an app. Either your kid is miserable or you are constantly shelling out more money.
Great but one functional issue
My two year old loves this - but the prominent link to purchase more apps should not be so easily accessible on the active page. Her fine motor skills are still developing and she often accidentally swipes or leans her hand on the more apps button - which takes her to a lock screen that I have to help her get out of.
Really disappointing app
My nephew loves Elmo’s World, so I thought he’d love this app. There’s not much to the app at all, just some old Elmo’s World videos, and then to even access the “games” tab you have to pay more. Really disappointing, not worth it at all.
Needs an update
The sound doesn’t work on the videos. I have a new iPad Pro and on the newest software version so it’s not the iPad. App needs bug fixes.

DO NOT GET THIS APP
Complete waste of money I’m getting a refund immediately
Great app!
My autistic son has always loved Elmo's World since he was a baby and absolutely loves this app. He is non-verbal and will bring his iPad to me so I can turn it on and he pushes the Elmo icon himself. His favorite is Beaches and will play it over and over!!!! Thank you for such a great app!
Not impressed
First of all, highly priced for the amount of content. Second, why the ad for app add-on constantly in the corner? It literally spinning in the corner asking my son to touch it, and it opens the screen to buy more. It keeps him from being able to use the app when he gets stuck on that screen. It’s an app for kids, you’d think this was common sense.
Must purchase more
The games section is not included in the purchase price. 3 sections of this app and one of them is greyed out and costs extra. Ridiculous.
sesame street
skddod
In-App purchases make this app feel like a scam
The app itself is fun, but all the in-app purchases target little ones to just keep wanting the new games. It is endless and feels like a scam.
Not enough games
Too much video. Not enough interactive games
Doesn't work
I paid five dollars for the app, and then an extra three for the games, and it doesn't even work. So almost 10.00 on this app and it's useless.
Birthdays Firefighters and shopping pets
Hands dogs and shopping singing
Waste
So sad we actually spent money on this app. There is absolutely nothing to do on it and a complete waste of money. Would love to have our money back.
Crashes a lot!
My 2 year old daughter loves this app but it keeps crashing. It's really frustrating us!
Only three episodes
This app needs updating and more content
So much fun!
I like this a lot games beaches, pets, fun!
Freezes all the time
My 2 year old like it’s but it freezes a lot which makes him get very upset. I also don’t like being asked to pay for more features in an app I already paid for. Selling add ons in a kids app is just distasteful.
Not much here
I thought I would be able to purchase games in app to play. No...there’s just a third episode you buy that’s called “Games.” So there are only 3 episodes. And they’re kinda long and involved. Would be better if we could play some games without going through a whole episode. Also this will get old so fast.
Please make IAP work on airplane mode
This is a kid's app. So why is the In App Purchase disabled when wifi isn't on? Many other educational apps do not have this glaring limitation. Change this and I'll update to five stars.
Elmo
I’m not sure if you can get this app. Try now, I finished! Time to restart!
Difficult to turn off
Can’t get it to turn off!!! Stuck on phone.
Cute but crashes A LOT
The game is cute but it crashes a lot.
My Kiddos FAVORITE
If your kid likes Elmo’s World, this app is packed with games and mini videos, for preschool age + ASD little ones.
Horrible
I bought this and it froze within 2 minutes. We can’t even use it.
APP WONT WORK
I paid that money and the app does not do anything ! A total waste
Thank you Elmo
You’re welcome
what is this
bad
Ok
Not worth the money, 2 year old said it was rubbish and doesn't want it 😕
it’s good
Nothing’s wrong
Horrible
The app wants you to purchase on every able game presented. Very upset customer, will request a refund
Elmo
I love this app
Stupid Adult area button!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE REMOVE OR MOVE THE SESAME STREET BUTTON THAT TAKES YOU TO THE STORE PURCHASES!!! It literally makes no sense to have it in an area where a toddler is gonna click!!! This shouldn’t be an issue on a purchased game. Smh.
