10 Years User
Now officially has used this app for 10 years. Tons of memories here. This app provides the most convenient way to record life, even a short sentense with time stamp. This will make your life a book, a treasure experience.
Change, not good change.
When I first got the app on New Year’s Day, I started logging regular. Then like any resolution, I dropped off the “hope.” However, there were dots, where you could log missed days. Since February started.. I can no longer do so. REALLY tempted to delete the app now, as it doesn’t serve the purpose I hoped for. Sooo frustrating:(
Very basic
I like it because it doesn’t have ads, or break your privacy by forcing an invasive cloud backup (there is none), you can easily speak to type, and it has a passcode option. But it’s a little too basic for me (by design really), and when you click on the link for support it goes to a broken website. I also wonder how easily I’ll get my entries off when I want to back them up. Overall I’m happy with it, though I wish I had more ways to markup my text.
No photo attachment Button
I’m really sorry to inform you that I couldn’t find any button for photo attachment. I bought premium version for both my iPhone and android. Android is okay , but iphone version despite being premium doesn’t have the button for photo attachment.

Simple and elegant
This is a great app for quick journaling, especially for a specific/focused subject. The time stamps are a great feature as well

Great app. Simple and works. Have been using for years on iOS. Just tried the macOS version but the font is too small even when I set it to size-5. Can we add bigger size options?

The last try on journaling
I always feel like journaling never worked for me but knowing that putting a sentence or two is enough for DayGram…it starts a habit that I’ve tried numerous times and failed. Give it a try. Also a nice way to get an idea out of your head and into your phone as quickly as possible. Having short-term memory problems, that very important for me.
Shuts down without saving
This used to be a great app. Now, when I hit done (after a journal entry) it just shuts down. It doesn’t save the entry I just made. So it is pretty useless. I’ve had it for years, and frequently ignore it for long periods, but I haven’t done anything different to it. I does not need an update. It just stopped working. I have contacted the developer. Let’s see if they do anything about it. Hopefully.
Syncing issues
The app is great. I love the design, and the simplicity. However it just needs to sync faster between devices. It needs to take a long time for entries to be seen on all devices with the same login. Other than that, I love this app and will continue using it.
날짜가 안보이는 건 저만..?!
아이폰13, 업데이트 했습니다만… 제일 윗줄 요일 날짜 시간 등 이 한 화면안에 안보이는 건 저만 그런건가요? 화면을 당기면 보이긴하지만 화면이 잘려보이는건 좀 당황스럽네요. 거기다 Done 은 있는데 Save 는 없는건가요?? 작성글을 저장할 수가 없어요.

I’m really happy to see DayGram being maintained again. It’s my favorite diary app, and I often recommend it to friends. I have one small request: could you add a time format option in Settings, so users can choose between 24-hour time and AM/PM? Using AM/PM slows me down because I have to mentally convert it each time, so I often end up rewriting it in 24-hour format manually. — for example, 00:59 instead of 12:59 AM. I’ve been doing that several times a day for years. A simple toggle would make a big difference. —————— Thanks! I hadn’t used DayGram for a while because of compatibility issues, and I just downloaded it again a few days ago. I found the setting and have already switched it 🥳
Can’t Export??
So, I like using the app. But now I’ve had it for four years and want to export a backup of my data and it’s saying I can’t do that without setting up an email. Okay. So how do I do that?? I’ve poked every setting in the app itself, opened my phone settings for it, googled for help, and no luck. Did I seriously just journal the last four years of my life into a garbage can I’ll have to manually copy out by hand in order to export???
Please add an option to display photo in color!

App crash - Still no resolution
UPDATE: October 14, 2025: Here I am again with the same issue. The developers launched a barrage of updates and fixes lately but none of them fixed the search issue. Search still doesn’t work and makes the app crash. Do these developers really know how to code? EDIT: April 7, 2024: Installed the update that was supposed to fix the ‘swipe up for search’ problem, but NO, nothing is fixed and the developers are just being as useless as always. 1. Love the app. But it’s crashing while swiping up for searching. The moment I type a word to search it crashes. WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED? 2. App crashing while backing up data to Dropbox. Seems like the developers no longer care about updating this app.

My favorite journal app.
This is my favorite journal app. I use it religiously everyday for the last few years. Please update this app with a black night mode! I’m always wiring very late into the night and am blinded by this journal… Would love for it to auto add locations and weather…and an option to add photos !
Why cannot set up a password to protect it?
It says simple diary with passwords. But there is no settings for it.

Refreshing app
One of the best apps I have ever gotten, easily the best for my mental health. Incredible that it has no ads, and only one in app purchase, which I got immediately due to it being $4. Amazing app keep up the great work!
App pops out
I have iphone 13 pro max and the app pops out whenever I tap on it, I cannot use it. I would be pleased if the developer could shed more light on this glitch unless since I cannot you it, I have got to delete the app for good. Thank you
Can it be exported monthly?
Export only so for yearly or as a whole, that’s too much for review and not so convenient. Also, can the picture be colorful? Don’t know why they have to be black and white. ; (

Doesn't work
Whenever I write an entry and select "done", the app force closes and I lose the entry. I used this app for years on Android with great success so this is a real bummer

Doesn’t auto save
I’ve been using the app for about two weeks, and can’t count the number of times my hand has slipped as I’ve been writing and I’ve swiped accidentally into a different day. When I return to the current day, I’ve lost whole paragraphs of writing, which is incredibly frustrating.
Once data is restored from Dropbox app is getting crashed

I love this app!
I love this app more than any other like it. I have been using it for 8 years! The developer will address all issues frequently. Having said that, there is a new thing that is a problem. When you convert to PDF, it shows up in my books very light. You almost can’t see the text. Please fix this. I save my log every so often to keep it somewhere else and for printing. Thank you so much!
Incorrect Billing
I have downloaded the DayGram app from AppStore. Price mentioned was Rs 9. Even it had in-app purchase, but those were showing Rs 0 for background and border. When I purchased the app, my credit card got debited by Rs 458. Please look into it
Great app! But just one issue.
I feel like a search feature would be extremely useful. Especially after you've used the app for a while and want to go back and find a particular event.

The app was deleted from my phone, and I lost all of the notes I had written down a couple of years ago… if there’s any way to get it back pls let me know
Lost all entries
Good app but horrible iCloud syncing. Lost all my entries because I started on iPad and later downloaded the app on my iPhone. My empty entries from my iPhone overwrote all my entries on my iPad.
I've been recording it for a few years now.
The biggest feature of this diary is that you can also log your past diaries the next day. You can also log what happened a few days ago. So it's great. It's great to be able to log your past diaries that you forgot about. Also, the second feature is that it all syncs up on your iPhone iPad Mac. It's working well with updates these days. And finally, it's very simple. So it's great.

It Shows Daygram is 70% off and will get it for ₹10., But after the purchase, They charged ₹70 from my account. Pls Don't believe their discounts and Offers. Apple, Refund Me the amount.
