So easy to use
I was very nervous about using accounting software preferring my old excel spreadsheet method. Wish I had done the change years ago. So easy to learn and use

Solid app but more integration needed
I like the app a lot, however a critical integration with Revolut Pro is missing - pretty important feature for freelancers like myself.
Clunky
As someone who’s used app based invoicing/ estimating software, this seems quite clunky and unresponsive. There’s no way of re-ordering items in the list which should be a basic requirement of this app.

Need the ability to attach attachments to an invoice in the app.

Useless with older operating system!
Can no longer use as app needs iOS 18 and won’t proceed without updating… my phone has no space to update to iOS 18. Massively inconvenient and can no longer do accounting on the go… which is why I signed up to FreeAgent in the first place 🙃
Website is much better
It’s a reasonable app but misses key details that are easily viewed on the website, such as, Salary. There is no apparent “my money” section. If there is, it’s not readily accessible.

Great and still Improving
I’ve been using FreeAgent, in combination with Mettle bank, and the two work well together. For the first time ever this year, I’ve filed limited liability accounts and associated paperwork, straight to both Companies House and HMRC, without needing to call on the services of my accountant. If your incoming funds and outgoings have been properly catergorised, you can file end of year accounts and even self assessment data straight to the authorities via FreeAgent. Between Stripe and GoCardless, I think we’ve got most payments sorted. I’ve a slight criticism; FreeAgent needs to get up to speed with AI, and Claude Code connectors and MCP access, in particular. I don’t think I could run my business as well without FreeAgent and its army of customer support help. Well done.
Utterly useless!
When I open the app it insists I have to update the app. When I go to the App Store, either directly or through the app prompt, no updates are available! The app now requires iPadOS 18 or later, for very particular compatibility and consistency reasons I'm remaining on iPadOS 17.
Fantastic service. Ok app
I recent moved from Xero to FreeAgent. Love the service but the app could do with some streamlining. It would be great to be able to manage projects within the app.
Latest version says to update app when is already updated
Can't open the app, says need to update the app but its already the latest version from 2d ago.
Issue
Really good. But with a recent update the app will not go full screen in landscape. It opens in a scaled down version. Please fix!

Why drop iOS 17 support so soon?
As title says... This is just annoying. It's a great app but now I can't use it.
Very Basic
Run a limited company? Want to view corporation tax due dates and serials, VAT submission dates and reminders; want to view anything useful? Then don’t use this app. It’s laughably bad. The defence from the developers below shows they don’t have a clue that it’s businesses using FreeAgent. Maybe the takeover by RBS-NatWest has rendered the developers to inefficient RBS processes and workshops. Unbelievable how limited the app is.

The widgets no longer work following recent updates.
Incredibly clever
I was made aware of free agent from a tradesman coming to the house. I have now been able to add my bank accounts, have a business account with mettle so free banking, free invoicing, everything in one place and so easy to use, from phone to laptop so on the go really and recommend.
Can no longer use
I was loving this until now, why the hell have you updated the ap to a later version.my phone does not support this update, so the ap is now useless
Lacks Basic Funtionality
No option to view total salary paid out, total dividends paid out, total mileage. All very basic data that I want to know
Support is fab and sinister friendly
Support comms are quick. Format is excellent compared with Xero and Quickbooks.
Free trial didn’t start
It says your free trial has ended as soon as I signed up! Stupid. If you don’t provide the free trial, why you waste my time by signing up and completing the 6-7 steps?

Simple but effective
Update. Its not working very well now. It's not a bad app from what I see. I've still got the mobile agent app on my phone which I use a lot. I'd like to be able to import PDF invoices and bills from goodreader/Dropbox/copy etc.

FREE TO DOWNLOAD “ VERY HELPFUL APP VERY SIMPLE TO USE “5 STAR SERVICE
Highly irritating
The photo library/camera option doesn’t work. The app freezes again & again. I usually reset the whole phone, lately I just delete the app & restore it. I’m only using the app because it helps the accounting team. Excel was much better.
FreeAgent is amazing
I love this system and have recommended to others, it’s so great! But I now can’t use it without updating my iOS — it’s just stopped working altogether :((
“30-day free trial” didn’t even happen.
I was logged out and hit with a “your free trial has ended.” -WHILE making a profile to use this app with!- Meanwhile: as posted clear as crystal on their website it states: “Download the app and get started with a 30-day free trial. No credit card, no obligation!” You didn’t even let me experience it past making a profile and singing up. Uninstalling. Making sure I don’t get spam mail from your company and I’m going to look further into this because as someone getting into freelance illustration I really would have appreciated help with tracking my taxable income. Thanks for absolutely nothing.
Makes life easier
Great app to help keep my accounts organised as I am not organised at all.
Not free.
Not free :(. They give you a free trial but after that you have to pay. Also, odd as it may seem, it assumes you already have an account with them to sign in with and provides no easy or intuitive way to create a new account on the spot. At this point I stopped messing with this app and went on to the next one. Just really bad thinking on behalf of the creators. I'll never know if this was the greatest app ever invented.
