ABSOLUTELY G O A T
rubbish
Easy disconnect panically iphone
Slider
The button should be a slider, the state isn’t always clear
It’s terrible
A lot of the nodes simply won’t connect! What a waste of time.
Great VPN, Bad iOS Integration
The only issue I have with this is that it really really struggles with the iOS VPN button. It automatically reconnects if you disconnect from the iOS VPN button. Then refuses to disconnect unless you are in the app, click the iOS vpn button, it disconnects then reconnects then you click the menu button in the app. Unsure if this is just an issue with iOS above 24.0 or what but I am at version 26.6 right now. If it could be fixed that would be great.
nice
nice
Doesn’t connect
Takes multiple tries to connect even when the internet is working fine
Ok
Breaks a lot of pages.
Works but slow
It was working just fine some days, except always randomly disconnecting me but it’s not that big an issue considering it’s free. HOWEVER other days, it just breaks the whole WiFi? Like I’d connect to WiFi without the VPN and it would work but then I connect to VPN and NOTHING loads.
Cool
Decent free plan
Great
This is the best VPN I have found (shadow rocket maybe faster but not free) I use it cause I’m in China right now. It works great for like YouTube and Google. But I can’t play Roblox? It lets me go into the app and stuff but I can’t join any games. I’m currently using forestVPN for that but I have to make a new credit card often. Other than that it’s great.
awful
this is stupid it barely works the VPN sucks in free mode and is the worst and first vpn ive tried
VPN hide.me
This app did work for one app but two other apps with geographically sensitive content did not work in the country I was in. If it is really free then all well and good but hide.me VPN needs to work consistently.
Awful throttling
The throttling for free members makes it pretty much unusable. Sooooooo…. I’m out.
Personal experience.
After my last experience with their customer. Support team I was, having a really hard time. With their service I tried everything, under the sun and then some. And when I asked one. Of their customer support representatives if I was screwed. And he said yes I was. His name was Patrick.
Fast, Reliable, and Easy to Use
I've been using this VPN for a while now, and it's been reliable. The connection is fast, streaming works without buffering, and it's easy to use across multiple devices. I also like the extra privacy it provides when using public Wi-Fi. Overall, it's a solid VPN that does exactly what I need without any hassle.
Nah
After update no free plan anymore and there are way too many better paid options than this vpn. Deleting.
Problème très irritant
Le VPN coupe très fréquemment
Okayyy
There are times it takes a long time to connect, and when I connect, it’s super slow. For example, if I’m watching a news clip, the video would stop and not play , then I disconnect and reconnect to try to get to play. Sometimes it woks but more often, not.
fire
fire asf use this alot and it free W
World’s fastest?! HA!!!
They don’t have the infrastructure to handle the work. Their servers are choking on the traffic. I can’t load a single webpage on any manual protocol selection, and even automatic protocol takes several tries to connect, and overrides my DNS settings. I’d rate it one star for grossly subpar performance if I didn’t need a custom DNS. As is, this garbage deserves zero stars, as it shouldn’t even be on the App Store.
Its great but
Its great but we really need to have free severs for everywhere
Not the best
Slow speed. Free plan is really limited and block some applications.
Unable to connect in china
Can't connect, even the paid version. And if you link up, watching YouTube or IG will be very slow and basically unusable.
Thought it was fake but it’s genuine
5 star deserved
Freezes my whole phone
This thing is a scam you use it and it just freezes all out of your phone
Works in china
👍:)
It was working well until it wasn’t
I’ve been a premium customer for several years, and it was working pretty well. About a month ago it started dropping often and losing connection. I reach out to support and for a month we tried every possible solution they could think of. Eventually I switched to another service which works amazing and is faster and has more servers. Too bad they wouldn’t refund the 15 months I still have on my subscription which I can’t use because the service doesn’t work!
Make this app IOS version restricted in App Store
I can download this app on IOS 12.4 but it doesn’t open after last update, make it restricted to IOS version it works on and above in App Store, so i can download older version, and so people won’t be getting confused.
Best free vpn
Not only a good vpn but it’s also free
iOS 12
It seem that it can't work on iOS 12!
miss T
THE APP IS GOOD BUT IT KEEPS DISCONNECTING IF YOU CAN IMPROVE IN THAT
Didn’t work
All I wanted to do was download an app only available in Australia. Paid for a membership and just wouldn’t let me access any Aussie content. Not entirely sure it does what it says in the tin. A refund would be amazing but unlikely.
It was useful…for a month.
I really loved this app because it could really let me choose my own country instead of having to pay. But the thing that caught me off was I didn’t know there was a month trial, and basically it revoked every right I have. So it just became useless because I’m specifically looking for free VPNs, not free TRIALS.
Definitely Recommend
Hide.me VPN is not like the other VPNs that advertise so on so “free” service. They actually give you free, unlimited service with some limited access to different countries, but it should be ok as the speeds are fast even with the free plan.
VPN is a VPN
I found that there was a problem of not connecting in the latest version. I can't connect whether I'm using SSTP or any protocol. And this situation happened only to me. I hope you can give me an explanation. Can't connect to any node
Great vpn although one issue!
This is a great vpn if you’re on a budget although no matter what you’re on ( free or upgraded) on the free version I checked my IP address via other ip address locators and although I was connected to Holland 🇳🇱 the IP address location apps stated I was connected to the 🇺🇸 US 🤔 ? WHY? - therefore I’m wondering have I been online thinking I’m secure using hide me vpn when in fact my connection has been lost and left to the big brother eyes of my internet provider to invade my privacy and anyone else who wants to do the same thing or even something more sinister? On iOS you get usual VPN symbol in the left corner of your screen so you’ll be thinking you connection is secure although to be then told you not connected by a IP address location app your elsewhere on the planet - what is happening ? 🤔 (TIP for users) routinely go to your settings on your device and see if this vpn is connected because I’ve seen it randomly say “VPN connected then a milli second later it shows VPN “connecting” - all other devices on my LAN that use proton vpn have no issues whatsoever so heed the warning ⚠️ you’re connection might not be as secure as you thing) come on Hide Me sort this out !
Deceptive app pretending connected but not.
This app very often seem like connected to VPN but when you check the IP its not connected at all. Very frustrating and why does does it say connected to US for example and its still in UK. Also you are given 10Gb for free but every week or so you have to “reactivate” the free allowance, whatever that means. Please fix the app.

Shocking Settings
The product and service is not bad at all. Out of the box the service can disconnect on iPhone. I have set my settings to auto connect and one protocol: for example WireGuard. These settings should and have prevented disconnecting.
👎
Not very good
Can’t connect.
App worked well for about 30 minutes. Haven’t been able to connect to UK free since. Just keeps telling me my service is limited. Upgrade. Thought I could continue to use free service. Or is that a spray to catch a mackerel?
Ok
Working
Doesn’t work in Germany
VPN is immediately recognized. What a waste of time !

Poor
Downloaded the free app at first to test its usability. Then made the in app purchase to upgrade and am still waiting for this to update so making the app useless and me being £7.99 worse off for the privilege. Tried email support but no response ! Keep looking for a more reliable VPN in my opinion
Use this for two years, and is now utter rubbish
The VPN service on iOS 15 is It has gone from excellent to unreliable over the last two years. However, on my non iOS devices the service is excellent. Their VPN service drops at the slightest network hiccup and exposes your IP. The VPN exposes app IPs when changing between wifi networks or mobile data. The Kill-Switch does not work because traffic bypasses the VPN during network changes! Setting connect to particular country IP on start-up won't guarantee it won't decide to use "Best available location" which is always te country you are in, which defeats the whole point of avoiding Geolocation restrictions. It works very well on my non-Apple devices
