What people like
- Works much better than the official app
- Remote shooting feature is very useful
- Connects quickly via NFC tap
What they complain about
- Crashes constantly when using remote control
- Fails to connect reliably after updates
- Photo transfer errors and failures happen
Tricky setting but it works
Go to your Bluetooth setting and click on “Communication Info.” Use that device name when entering your SSID- Wi-Fi information. You can find your password under wireless LAN Setting but don’t use their SSID. It’s jacked up. Hope it helps.
Focus doesn't work
The sole reason I purchased this app was to have a functioning touch focus from my phone, which the Ricoh image sync seemingly cannot handle without losing the feed. However this app is no different and does not allow touch focus without losing the camera feed. Especially upsetting given the cost of the app.
GR IV
Please add support for GR IV! Love the app
Pictures are clean and sharp
I really like the functionality of this app. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be Lightroom compatible either but I found that it works really well. Images are clean, sharp, and I have no complaints in the first couple hours that I have continually used it.
Cant view images
I’ve been quite happy with the app for a long time. However, recently I can’t view recent images after #2000 on my SD card, which is quite disappointing. Additionally I tried to report this feedback in the app, but the submit button does not seem to work. This needs to be addressed
For Ricoh GR ii the app Ricoh should have made
I have Ricoh GR ii and iPhone 7. I’ve been struggling with the official Image Sync since the day I got the camera. Hard to connect, stops downloading if your phone screen turns off or if you switch to another app. Overall, Ricoh’s app is laughable and I don’t think they care or will fix it. I read the negative reviews for this app plus the 9.99 price kept me away but just got it today and it IMMEDIATELY WORKED. Used NFC to tap and connect with my iPhone. Can browse pics on the camera smoothly. Can do remote shooting. Done! If you have a GR ii I recommend this app.
Remote freezes
Griiix Try to take pic via remote app freezes
I like it
Nice, WiFi copy is a little slow but that isn’t the apps fault.
Stopped working
I would like to give this app more stars but it has stopped working entirely (incompatible with latest iOS maybe? 15.6.1 on iPhone SE 2020). It’s a decent app when it worked but I am now suddenly unable to connect to my camera (GRIIIx v1.02). It’s doubly irritating that I am no longer eligible for a refund. If this issue could be fixed I’d happily upgrade it to 5 stars but as it stands it was a waste of money and I can’t recommend it given Apple’s ridiculous refund policy. Thanks.
Such a disappointment.
Can not get past the “ Cannot Join Network “ warning. Would really love this app to function in a non complex manner. Did I pay for this ? Again? So frustrating.Stuck in an ice storm and squandered an hour working on getting this app to work. Hate to rate at one star but useless app, paid for is really a zero.

Works with the GR III
It was frustrating to get my GR3 only to discover that it didn’t work with the existing Ricoh app. I was hesitant about spending $10 but this app works perfectly with the iPhone X and was well worth the cost!
Bugs after updating
It’s so difficult to use after the update. Bugs drove me crazy
iOS15.3 怎么都连不上

Best App for GRII!
This app makes it so easy to manage my GRII and transfer photos quickly. Thank you very much for updates and big fixes, too!
Unable to connect GR III with new update
In the old version I was able toTurn on Wi-Fi on the camera and load the photos to the application. This new version, I have to input Wi-Fi information from the camera. I have been unable to successfully load my photos to my phone like I use to.
Great app for my new GR3 but....
Looks like a great app and understand it’s essentially beta for the GR3 but whilst it all syncs JPEG and RAW seamlessly it doesn’t yet seem to work in terms of controlling the cam?
Having trouble downloading
I like this viewer mostly; but sometimes not downloading to my camera roll, though it shows that it is downloading. Already wasted 2 hrs trying to download pics.
No live view with GRIII
Why????!!!!!
Everything you’d hope it would be
It doesn’t show you which photos have been saved to your camera roll, but otherwise great.
No Raw File Support
Raw files not supported on firmware 1.41
Great app!
This is definitely the greatest app for grii. But after the most recent update, its crushing down every time when I want to open it.
Latest Update is Broken
App was great until the latest update. Now it won’t connect to my GRII. Nothing happens when I click “Scan NFC”, and the password keyboard for connecting manually only displays numbers. The password on my camera includes letters, so I’m unable to input it. Do not buy unless these issues, which render the app totally useless, are fixed.
Works well with one exception
Works well, if you’re looking for a streamlined WiFi experience and you love your GR, this is your app. One problem I’m having is when browsing a connected camera, the thumbnail view is completely blank. If I click on one of the invisible photos in the thumbnail view, it will bring up a photo and I can browse them one by one that way.
Ok to transfer photos only
Can not control anything on the griii other than actual shutter release, I cannot see anything in live view the button appears to do nothing when viewing on camera photos the quality is absolutely awful although if downloaded to the iPad they are good. I’d love to give this a better review but I am so disappointed with the overall performance I find it basically useless.
Can’t edit SSID name
The OCR misread 0 into an O, can’t connect.
Great app
Please keep updating!!
Worked Twice and Then Didn’t
After a couple successful photo transfers, every time I try to connect to the Camera via WiFi, I get an error stating “Failed to Reload Photos.” Turning the camera and phone off and on again does nothing to fix this. This is particularly frustrating as I can still use the app to remotely control the camera over WiFi, just not transfer photos.
2 Devices instead of Family Sharing
Purchased your GR2 on my iPad. Tried to download to my iPhone as well since it is on same Apple account but instead wants to charge me again. How do I get it to install without charging me again? Your app says up to 6 members.
Cannot connect
I updated my GR III to firmware 1.10 and updated this app to the latest version as of today. I’m using an iPhone XS Max with the latest software update. The app connects maybe once out of 20 attempts.
Worked well for a bit
Worked well for a bit but lately hasn’t been transferring photos via WiFi. It just gives an error notice.
