An essential for cloud chasers 5/5 stars
Skyflow has unlocked cloud timelapses for me and ignited my fascination and joy for clouds! I can confidently rely on this app when I leave my phone for several hours (building health habits) and come back to an incredible video. I can’t recommend this app enough! My one wish is to add more zoom levels. My view in the city can’t use 1x without showing other buildings but I’m losing too much of the sky with 5x. The high quality detail captured in a smaller 5x window of the sky has still been more than enough for me to fall in love with this app

Careful don’t try to shoot a real timelapse, this program will hold your video hostage until you pay
Everything the default camera app should be - but with some caveats
So I had been hunting for a time lapse app that gave me very fine grained recording options, and this app fits the bill almost perfectly. However I’m noticing that during playback, there’s either a frame rate glitch or a recording glitch that after exporting the video from the app, you can tell where it starts off really fast and then slows down. It’s very noticeable if you have it set to take a photo every fifth of a second, and I haven’t had a chance to test slower capture rates.

昔はタイムラプス撮影界の神だったのに、アップデートで改悪されてしまった。 ・外カメラ内カメラの切り替え ・撮影後に中間の1フレームを削除する これら機能がワンタップでできなくなったのは大変困る。早急に対応していただきたい。

Best timelapse app
Hands down the best time lapse app for phones. I have tried literally every one that has been released for a decade and none compare. Been a long time user and was excited to see that it had been updated for modern iPhones.
Still unusable for me after updates
As other reviewers have noted. For some reason the developers completely changed this app after years of use where people seemed to have no problems. Now I am still getting various “capture session error” “cannot complete action” pop up error messages that STACK and completely prevent me from using the app. This used to be the GOAT… as other reviewers have said - just bring back the working version we had for years if you’re unable to make it work across all devices. I had retracted my earlier negative review from when these changes were first introduced, giving them time to fix it, but all the same problems are still there.

What happened??! :-(
Update December 2025!! Please bring back the standard 1080 MOV format!! I simply don’t have the storage for 4K, and the 4K videos are tiny when compared to the perfect quality 1080’s I was able to capture up until this month, then they practically destroyed the app by only creating little square videos and small space-hogging 4K videos. After posting this I will look for another app in the App Store since SkyFlow is now rendered all but useless, and I promise I’ll come back and update this with a more positive review if this app is either fixed, or the original 1080 is restored.
Why do i have no permission to save to photos?
Can't save the photos any longer, and no option to change options on the app. Used to work fine now it doesn't. Why does it even want to have access to all my photos to begin with which is another issue of mine. There's a few flaws, this could've been a great app. Perhaps the developer needs to have a look and see what they might be, or i could be nice.... need more room for my finger to edit frame by frame, it keeps touching functions next to it. Lets see how long this will take to fix.... thank you.

When you remove basic functions that were already a part of the app, and put them behind a paywall after years of allowing it for free. I can no longer recommend this app. This practice MUST stop. I will be looking for alternatives. If you want people to pay for upgrades, make better incentives or a new app that you charge money for.
Quality app
There is a lot to love about this app! It has fine grained controls over the capture, a well designed camera interface, and a one time purchase model (at a great price I will add) I would love to see some updates just to be sure it’s maintained for newer phones, and also a vertical mode for the interface would be a nice touch.

Tried capturing 30 min long timelapse but after exporting its not showing up in the phone
Photos not saving on iPhone 16
*Solved* Turn off Frame Blending in the clip speed settings before export! I used it on iPhone 14 with iOS 17.5.1 but not with iPhone 16 iOS 18.1.1

Doesn't work on latest iOS 18.6, will not export finished Timelapse to photo library. I purchased the full version and it's worthless
Good app except…
My one problem with this app is that it won’t geotag time lapses, even though I have location services turned on for this app and the geotagging setting enabled. Other than that, it’s a real good app and I highly recommend paying the $3 for the full features! Update 12/22/23: I have found that when you save individual frames, that the frames are geotagged. But if you try to save the whole time lapse (even with location services turned on), it isn’t geotagged.
App doesn't work properly
When I try to use the back camera (camera facing in opposite direction of the screen), the app freezes and doesn't allow me to take video until I switch to the front camera. Kind of ruins the entire app when thats the main idea of it.
Great app with a small feature gap
This would be the perfect time lapse app if only it saved geo location data and preserved timestamps for the video itself in addition to the exif data inside individual frames. Right now, for example, Apple photos doesn’t show location and time data for the exported video file.
Phenomenal Time-lapse Product
This program has allowed me to make the best Time-lapses of my life! The interface is simple, minimalist in appearance, and very easy to use! I recommend it 10/10! The only thing to watch out for is when exporting time-lapse files will take some serious space, this is not a dig at the program, just a notice! When you export your files you get every individual frame, which is awesome!

Plant-growth videos
I’ve been using this to monitor the slow development of my indoor plants over weeks. This feature-rich app has let me capture lots of great reactions and movements from plants and in turn understand how the plants react to fertilizing, watering frequency and quantity, grow lamp effectiveness. It even revealed the presence of slow moving pests (which were easy to spot once sped-up via time-lapse) and how they were affecting my plants. Fantastic for entertainment, as well as examining super-slow processes! Can’t wait to see what features come out next!!

Deleted. I don't use apps that force the user into holding their device a certain way. That is my decision not the app designers. Sorry. Looked like a good app otherwise.

Great control and quality time lapse app
It’s great at taking Timelapse so I highly recommend it but I give it 4/5 stars because of its file handling system. This app can generate both huge video files and thousands of raw image files so the inconsistency of the file handling interface and the inability of its image to be handled in the iOS Storage app make it hard to work with. A popup that says “Where are my files?” leads to an Apple website explanation of the iCloud but sometimes files are kept internally, sometimes on the phone’s iCloud account, and sometimes on the camera roll, so the “Where are my files?” popup should say where the software actually sent it. A tutorial or documentation on how to adjust thousands of Raw files in post would be helpful for using that feature. Again: 5 stars for the time lapse feature and it handles day to night sunset time lapses well. I wish there was a way to ramp the shutter speed but at least it can adjust exposure over time or lock exposure if desired.

Does not currently work with iOS 18
After the update to iOS 18, the software does not work. The files will not export any longer and the software “locked up”. I contacted the software developer and he is aware of the problem, but is unable to state when, OR IF, a proper fix is available. (See their FB page for the comments) I DO NOT recommend this until it is compatible with iOS 18 and the developer can address known issues in a timely manner.

Full version was supposed to be 2.99 but charged 29.99 to my account!!!
Pretty good.
It has plenty of options not available on the native camera app for time-lapse. However I am disappointed that it has no bluetooth remote shutter support, and the UI is pretty uninspired. Also it’s been dead for about 3 yrs now.

Distorted photos when saving?
When I save the time lapse as jpg, photos are totally distorted (the jpg output’s height is same as the originals’ horizontal size.

Good but not what I was looking for
I was looking for an app to stabilise my timelapses which I already had, but this one has no feature to improve on timelapses in my camera roll already. Ability to upload from camera roll and retroactively edit would be nice, but despite that it’s a good app which works well.

Good app but can’t export in 4K, even though it says it can
I bought the Full version of this app. I recorded and exported in 4K but when I check the resolution of the video on my Mac it tells me it’s only 1920x1080. I’ve tried in both formats which it claims to export in 4K but it doesn’t. Other than that, the app is pretty comprehensive and the features it offers. Certainly a lot more than I thought it would. Just fix the export and it’s nearly perfect. I don’t like how when you slide the delay slider with your finger it gives you the figures (i.e. one hour delay, four hour delay) but when you press the plus or minus button it doesn’t tell you the amount, and just move the slider. Devs - what’s the deal here? Why isn’t it exporting in 4K when it says it should?
Impressive Features. Well thought out
I went thru the YouTube tutorial and I felt immediately I wanted to support this developer. Some garbage apps want a WEEKLY fee and I immediately de-install those. For what this app does - I wish I could support them more. I will use this app for some upcoming plans to Timelapse various things and post the results on social media. Thank you for not insulting your end users by ripping us off. I’d like to find another way to show my support, if that’s available. Best regards

I have had a good experience with this app. Time lapse pro was my app of choice. This app has it beat hands down. I have one problem with it. I purchased it so it is totally unlocked. I put it on my iPhone and an iPod Touch. The app works good on both. I installed it on an older iPad and it’s like I haven’t paid for it. It shows a watermark and a lower resolution. I would like to use this app on the iPad to not tie up my phone for long periods. I give it 4.5 stars even though it doesn’t work fully on the iPad. Treefrog56

No upgrade?
I am unable to upgrade to full version? I have tried purchasing both through the app itself and the App Store. Both times it has taken my Face ID, then a window pops up to say I need to verify purchase via an sms to my mobile number. The options are “Not Now” or “Settings”. I choose “Settings”, and am then taken to my iCloud login and asked for password. After entering password a login wheel appears but takes me nowhere? It just stays on that window with the wheel continuously spinning? Shame as I’d like to use the 4K abilities on my XS, and the free version seems great. Devs please address!

Made mistake buying this app
App is not good. Unable to use it even after paying for full version. I screen is frozen when I open the app..
Near Perfect but not there yet!
This app works and it is great, but the fact that shutter speed does not go higher than 1/1000 s makes it very hard to do timelapse in bright days and night to day transitions! It is very weird why shutter speed is limited in Skyflow while in other third party apps it goes as high as 1/8000 s.
What about Gallery videos ?
Hello what’s to know can I create a time lapse of the videos in my phones not recorded through this app? If yes then what speed I can speed it up to ?? (x 10) ?

Amazing app but the watermark is in the middle of the video when you save it.
