You have to pay to be able to solve ONE problem…. Literally download to solve a problem and was immediately hit with a paywall…… wouldn’t do step TWO of the equations unless I pay for a subscription!!!

The contents are okay, but using plus sucks
I have no issue with using the app, or the answers etc. it is using plus that is the problem. Every time I go to use plus it tells me I need to subscribe, which I am. Then I have to go through and unlock plus and the App Store tells me I am already subscribing to this. Then it finally works, until the app restart's and I have to go through it all over again... every single time I use the app.

YOU MUST READ THIS… Great app BUT…
This app is great. I use it all the time. BUT… I have one problem. For certain problems (very occasionally) it will make you have to buy Photomath-plus to get the answer and explanation. This is honestly stupid. You guys are losing people that download the app because if they can’t see the answer and the explanation free every time, they will just switch to this amazing thing called ChatGPT and type it in, which is a pain but is why your app works (photo-wise). Please fix and I promise you will see more downloads!

Good for cheating, not for learning because of premium
it’s good for giving you the answer immediately, but a broken down explanation is a premium only feature so.. if your actually trying to learn find a different app
I love it
No more hard homework that takes 29 minutes! :D but some of the answers I have to get plus to see them :/ although I would recommend buying this! (If u got money for plus)
Barely works
Most of the time it’ll try to redirect you to google bc it can’t answer the questions. and if it’s not doing that, it answers a completely different question. i mean i take a picture of a question with all the answers included and it pops up a picture of a different question with different answer choices and it answers that. if i’m taking a picture it should be smart enough to answer the question that’s in the picture
Incorrect answers
Great for simple math, but it doesn't know complex math on a high school/college level. Many answers were made up or incorrect

From a Great Learning Tool to a Paywall
I’ve been an avid Photomath user for years, and unfortunately, I’m really disappointed with the direction the app has taken. One of the things that originally made Photomath so useful was its ability to quickly help you understand a math problem—not simply give you an answer. Over time, however, more and more of the genuinely helpful features seem to have been locked behind a subscription. At this point, the free version feels so restricted that the app has lost much of what made it valuable in the first place. I understand that developers need to make money and that premium features are reasonable. But there’s a difference between offering additional benefits to subscribers and gradually removing or restricting the core functionality that longtime users came to rely on. I’ve recommended Photomath many times over the years because it was an excellent learning tool. I wish I could still recommend it as enthusiastically. Unfortunately, unless you’re willing to pay for the subscription, it simply isn’t nearly as helpful as it used to be.
Cheating 😁
I love to use this in class on my math tests so that I don’t fail my class and it shows me the work so it doesn’t just look like I googled the answer so I can write the work in my paper so it’s untraceable
Used to work good
Idk what happened to this app but it wont give me a single real answer. It replaces my problems with similar ones and wont give me the answers i need. Even when i type problems in it tells me the same solution for multiple problems that aren’t correct. The camera feature used to be goated but now it literally refuses to be able to read a single number accurately.

Ormai uso Photomath da anni e mi ci sono sempre trovato benissimo, i risultati e le spiegazioni sono chiare e spiegate bene, ma ultimamente non riesce più a risolvere la maggior parte delle espressioni che gli pongo. Non so a cosa sia dovuto ciò anche perché non cerco la soluzione a espressioni molto complesse, parliamo comunque di un livello 5 superiore/universitario, ma in caso credo ci sia bisogno di un miglioramento

What has happened to this app, with the rise of ai you might think they would decrease the amount that you pay, but today I scanned a simple problem just so I may find the answer but it say I had to buy pro. I’m uninstalling this garbage, it sucks because I used to love this app.

great app has many features and i always use it to double check my math homework. i just wish the premium was cheaper because i would buy it if it wasn’t 12$ because im a student. If they could find some way to make the premium cheaper then this would be 5 stars. still best app i’ve ever used for my math.
Stop! It does not support family sharing!
I bought this for my kids so we can share it in the family and only I can have it. What type of company does that? So am I supposed to buy two versions of it for my kids now? I cannot get a refund on MY yearly purchase. STATE that your app CANNOT be shared... be transparent, don't act like a scam artist.

Для чего мне постоянно включенная камера, если я не пользуюсь ей в приложении? Она греет телефон в жару, расходует заряд, а выключить не невозможно. Если запретить доступ к камере, то приложение просто не дает зайти в калькулятор. Исправте это, пожалуйста

super good, even without the premium version, it helps me out with even difficult, higher lever math, the scan function works really well and it rarely gets my handwritten math question incorrect. i wish there was a bit more in depth learning on the non premium, but other than that i love this
Not good for Geometry
It’s really helpful for certain algebraic equations and stuff like that but it’s horrible for geometry it can’t solve it or use the right methods

Listen, I get why you would want to make money on this, but why leave the solving steps for more complicated math behind a paywall? Sure, offer the bonus features behind it or something, but WHY the solving steps. You could put unskipable adds, anything besides this. A well designed app, poorly optimized behind a paywall.
Textbook answers
I used it a week ago and the textbook ksolutions were still there. Now even in the top left bar it disappeared. Help

C’est une bonne application pour aider les gens à calculer, pourtant lorsque je prends une photo de mon calcul écrit à la main, ça me dit qu’ils ne peuvent pas le calculer. Soit j’ai une mauvaise écriture, soit un bug. Recommandable.

Do not buy for word problems
This app is only useful if you have premium. If you don’t, you cannot access the textbooks that it has with solutions and either way if you have premium or not, Photomath cannot answer word problems. Most of the time it will direct me to Google math ai because it can’t answer the question.
