When something goes wrong on this app and you report it, there is no response. Fortunately, Apple provided me with a refund when a purchase went awry.
Love the magazine but!!
I love this magazine but have had repeated hassles with the app. I have had to instal and re install the app about four times and it is still not right. The service Centre is very helpful but I just want immediate access to the magazines that I have paid for. It would be great if you could download the magazine so that you can keep it in your library.
Rip off
Being new to quilting I bought this app with the intention of learning and being able to make some nice projects for people. But just now I was sent an email to update the app, and when I did it now will not let me access.
Great content. Issue with app itself
Since they changed the app a few months ago, I can’t multitask on my iPad. Quilters often have tv shows/movies on while they work. But with the new app, every time you swipe to a new page, the video stops. There are no videos in the app, but it stops whatever I am watching from playing. It’s really problematic. :(
Love this magazine and app
Every magazine is filled with wonderful projects and ideas. The designers’ originality and creativity is inspiring in every issue. I love that templates are provided at the website. Most always the app works great. Occasionally, it has hiccups loading but they don’t last long. My solution is to close it out and reload the app (my only complaint).
Useless App
Installed app to purchase a back issue and the purchase isn’t there. I was charged by apple for nothing. Very disappointing.

Content great - app terrible
This is probably the worst app I have. I can rarely read a magazine. Constant crashes are the norm and not being able to open the magazine at all is typical. I’ve been subscribing to the app since close to the inception and its time they figured this out. Updates don’t address the problems.
Love this magazine but …
Love this magazine but the digital copy is not very user friendly. I recently was forced to upgrade their program and now I have lost the earlier issues I had access to ... probably better off buying the hard copy … so disappointed.

Love, love, love this magazine. I have made about 4 Quilts from this mag. I have it on my iPad but try to get the hard copy when I can!
Unsatisfied
This app is horrible. I have paid for 45 issues and none will download. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, attempted to work with their support group, etc. No luck. Now they are simply not responding to me. Wish I had simply purchased the magazine, as the content is fantastic.
Can't print patterns from issues I purchased
Occasionally I have to print a pattern to take it with me where devices aren't allowed. It would be great if I had a way to print. Also the two issue I own with template links, the link was connected to a different earlier issue and I could never get to the current issue templates so I cancelled my subscription.
Great publication
Love the magazine but have lost some of my earlier issues when they did an app transfer. Still they want me to buy them again. Finding out who to talk to and what to supply to get them back when it was a paid subscription is confusing!
Favorite Quilting Magazine!
I found the magazine in a book store, LOVED IT, and then found the app where I could purchase back issues. I love the app, for downloading new and old issues. I can print templates and pages from my iPad. And the links to designer blogs, websites and shopping sites are highlighted and clickable. It doesn’t get much easier than that. My only (minor) complaint... Some of the older articles or patterns (2 years old) have links which are broken, outdated, or maybe expired, but that can almost be expected. That just gets me moving and making sure I download and save current articles ASAP! As soon as I get my new copy I save the ones I love right away!
Incredible content, unreliable app
I love this magazine, and when it works, it’s absolutely wonderful. I am subscribed through iTunes and semi-frequently need to delete the app and re-download to get the content. When I try to open an issue that’s included in my subscription I often get stuck with a black screen and a 0% frozen on it. I’m pretty frustrated because it’s been happening more often than not recently, and I might switch to the physical magazine instead. Again, the content is beautiful, modern, and well taught through the instructions, but the app experience leaves a lot to be desired for me. Update- dropped to one star because I had to reinstall the app twice in a day due to the above issue.

Love hate relationship
I love this magazine; but the app is completely terrible!
Best Magazine Ever!
I was reluctant to buy this magazine at my local fabric shop because it was sealed in plastic and I couldn’t look inside. I had a birthday gift card so took a leap of faith and bought it. Oh my!! I instantly fell in love with all the modern quilt patterns, reviews on fabric and notions and the overall feel of the magazine. I found more quilts in one magazine, that I wanted to make, then in most of the quilt books that I looked at that day. I have not turned back since, and I cannot wait for each new issue to come out. Buy this, you will not be disappointed.
Only opens once
Once a new issue is available I can only view it one time on the app. After that, anytime I try to click "view" on any issue, it starts to load and is stuck at 0% meaning I have basically wasted my money because I got to flip through an issue once and can never see it or use patterns / read quilt instructions ever again. Just canceled my subscription. Not a new problem for me - this has been happening since last year. At one point I deleted the app for several months the then re-downloaded for a particular issue I really wanted but unfortunately the same problems persist.
My favorite quilting mag!
I loved looking at the hard copy, but being in the States it was so expensive to purchase. The online version has totally solved that problem! I bought all the back issues when they were on special and now I have them all to drool over! I take them on my iPad wherever I go and I can print out the templates at home. Thanks for a great magazine with a great app!
Major Issues
Ever since Issue 24 was released NONE of the previous issues I purchased will load on this app at all. Prior to that Issue 23 was missing steps 3-11 of the entire process for the cover quilt and no one from the magazine would reply to my emails or FB inquiries. Finally had to contact the woman who made the pattern itself to get a reply. Plus I got charged 2x for Issue 23 through iTunes. Now I can't even view any of the magazines that I paid for to make the quilts. Pretty upset I wasted my money.
One of my fav's
This is a fav mag and I love the way it's laid out. Fresh ideas, modern and some are funny like the mounted deer heads made of modern fabrics. I made these for my Maine cottage. Always complements! App works perfectly! I view it on iPhone 7 and iPad mini. Wish I could get it on MacBook but ,oh well. I can print all I need.
Terrible support
This is a wonderful magazine. However, all of the special editions that are available for purchase disappears from all of my Pocketmag apps. I have quite a few, so this was quite devastating. I have made repeated requests for help, but get no answers, just the same information that is on the support site, such as to update to the new app (did that the day they were released) restore purchases (did that first), Sync (did that next, the tried restore again). After doing all of that to no avail I then started emailing support and am getting no help at all. Be warned and be sure you're cord every single purchase and keep up with which issues you have purchased because I have also lost access to some of my precious prescription purchases. If someone will actually take me seriously and help me, I will remove this review and rating
My favorite magazine!
I love this app! Now I can read my favorite magazine for a third of the newsstand price and it comes with all the templates ready to print. It's great!
Very disappointed-unable to print patterns
I am very disappointed by the poorly done digital version for this magazine. I miss being able to print select pages and the templates for the pattern I’m making. Please bring the print page feature back!
Bright and easy to use.
I love this app because I can access my favorite quilting magazine with ease. I love that they have affordable pricing for past issues as well.
Broken
Hard to use the thing if you can't print out the patterns. If only I had printed them out 2 days earlier in the old app version that worked fine.
