It’s a cash crab
Used to be a cool game, but now you have to go through several pages of not wanting to buy stuff before you can even play it
Stuck
Used to love this game, and went to redownload it to see if it’s still good but it is stuck on the tutorial where it says “this is the MY CHAMPIONS screen”. Disappointing as i was very excited and hope this gets fixed so i can play again.
Player since 2015
Over ten years been playing the game and honestly, they have made the game impossible to advance without having maxed out top players which of course takes money. But aside from that the game is no longer fun. Plus they cheat you out of rewards all the time. I was at 26000 7 star crystals, did a few rounds in arena to get another 4000 so I could get 2x 7 star crystals and of course when I went to get them I only had 15600, very convenient and typical of the system to do that. They design glitches so you don’t either get your rewards or if you need 2 fights remaining to get the rewards they only give you one. Even though you did the two. Oh and if you complain to them prove them wrong they block you from submitting tickets. I am not the only one, Reddit and other forums say the same thing, other players have been through the same and they just do not care. At this point you play but not expect much.

so ive been playing this game for about 15+ years and i honestly loved this game made me know alot of characters i never knew and one day i tried to log out and log back in because i was trying to connect my account to the link and when i tired to log back in it just says it lost connection the red wifi icon shows up at the bottom and after that i was never able to log back in.Ive spent money on here bye bye 15+ years account ive tired reaching out and they couldn't help

Great Fighting Game, Absolutely Awful Economy
I genuinely enjoy Marvel Contest of Champions, which is why I’m giving the overall game 3/5 stars. The combat is fun, the champion roster is massive, and there’s a lot of content to play through. Unfortunately, one part of the game drags the entire experience down for me: the ridiculous in-game currency system. There are simply too many currencies to keep track of. Different game modes, events, stores, and progression systems seem to introduce another token, shard, crystal, resource, or special currency. Instead of making progression feel rewarding, it makes the game’s economy feel unnecessarily bloated and exhausting. But my biggest problem by far is Units, the game’s premium currency. Units are incredibly difficult to save because the game gives you so few through normal gameplay compared with how quickly you can spend them. You can put a significant amount of time into the game and watch your Unit balance crawl upward, while many useful purchases can wipe out a large portion of your savings almost instantly. And buying Units with real money isn’t exactly an attractive alternative. Just look at the store prices: * 135 Units — $4.99 * 275 Units — $9.99 * 850 Units — $29.99 * 1,450 Units — $49.99 * 3,100 Units — $99.99 That means even the $99.99 “Best Value” package works out to only about 31 Units per dollar. Put another way, 1,000 Units effectively costs about $32.25 at the game’s best standard in-app rate. What makes that pricing even harder to swallow is how weak the bulk discount is. The $4.99 package gives about 27.05 Units per dollar, while dropping nearly $100 at once raises that to only about 31 Units per dollar. That’s only around a 15% improvement in Units per dollar despite spending twenty times as much money at once. So yes, Odin’s Vault technically is the best value of these packages. The pricing tiers aren’t mathematically deceptive—the larger packages progressively give you more Units for your money. But calling $99.99 for 3,100 Units a compelling “Best Value” is another matter entirely. A $100 premium-currency purchase should feel substantial. That’s the frustrating part of the system. You’re stuck between slowly grinding for relatively small amounts of Units or paying prices that I don’t think offer particularly good value. If Units were considerably easier to earn through gameplay, the cash prices wouldn’t bother me nearly as much. Likewise, if the real-money packages offered substantially more Units, the slow earning rate would be easier to tolerate. Instead, the game manages to make both sides of the equation feel stingy. And all of this is piled on top of an already overcrowded currency system. It’s a shame because underneath all of that monetization is a genuinely entertaining Marvel fighting game. I like collecting champions, building my roster, and actually playing the game. I just wish the economy were simpler and progression felt more rewarding instead of constantly reminding me how scarce the premium currency is. Overall game: 3/5. In-game currency system: 1/5. TL;DR: The fighting is fun. The currency system makes me feel like I need an accounting degree.

Basically once you get a high enough level the game starts cheating against you to make you lose you can have better characters and some of these bots will just party everything do not download it’s the biggest waste of time and money ever

Overall, it’s an amazing game, although the skill needed to win a match spikes considerably a few times, either way, definitely recommend
Fun at first then becomes pay to win
At first the game is pretty fun when you fight the lower levels and collect champions. That will quickly fade with horrendous limits on items you can hold and the pathetic design choices by the developers for your inventory. Also be ready for extreme frustration on gathering a stupid amount of crystals only to pull a champion that you hate or is terrible. The game truly becomes a slog fest of pointless characters that take up space and maps and events that are catered to pay to win players.

I bought 6 3-4 star crystals and got all three’s star when I should’ve gotten at least one it’s rigged and not in your favor they just want you to keep buying stuff so they can scam you I’m not happy with this at all

The game is actually not that bad, you get to unlock some cool characters, got a beyond spider man or some thing like that, to bad I can only one and done play as it freezes in the loading screen right after, it says “click anywhere to continue” for some reason it doesn’t not wanna go past that. This game is enjoyable but once you get to a certain point it's a joke. It's impossible to win and impossible to get upgrades for your champions and the defending champions are EXTREMELY over powered which little to no chance of beating them in quests. If you want to spend money then by all means download it, if not, it's not the game for you.

Fix ai bots (general)
Like hurry and manage your ai bots man. I don’t believe you guys creating stable game. This just taking advantage of ai bots and letting them abuse their movement speeds, their awareness is very very active which isn’t suspicious at all, and I don’t see nothing wrong besides… oh wait the damn ability’s. Why on earth do certain characters get to dodge your combos and yet my character can’t… like what’s up with this? This isn’t fair at all and completely cheating. You guys are jus abusing the ai bots systems in general. You guys aren’t making this a fun, unique, mentally health, enjoyable game because how on earth do you expect me to fight these certain characters with crazy movement speed and literally dodge my attacks during my mid fight… this doesn’t make any sense, it’s definitely not comeback relative. It’s just an ai bot that’s super movement, health regeneration (sometimes), randomly use a damn special attack to unblock my block… why can’t I do that with ai bots? Why can’t we again? Oh wait it’ll be charged. Nothing is for free and grinding isn’t eeven mentally enjoyable which is why ppl need to take breaks off this game because how it is being treated and overall not very unique in a fun way.
Great game
Fun combat. Many characters. Lots of story quests. Duels. The only downside is that the matches feel quick and short. I would rather characters do less damage so the fights feel longer.
Only playable on top tier mobile
The was fun but now, as they continue to add more characters and moves, the left over issues with the core game code (kernel) is having a heavy effect on playability for any device older than 2 years. The expectation, it seems, is users must continue to upgrade their device which can cost $500+ every two years. That is not an expectable cost to play the game, especially since the divide between Play to Win and Play for Free is very large which makes playing the larger community events or options very frustrating. Taking the time to correct those left over kernel issues will improve the game experience for all players. My device was working fine last September 2025 - just 7 months ago. Now the game slows down (frame stutter), freezes or just crashes. Crashing happens on a menu click or mid fight. This type of game behaviour is typical of something developed by someone still living is his parents basement - not a corporation. Play only on a casual, free pace is the recommendation. As of Aug 17, 2026 I have deleted this game. The last update (10.2.2 Cerates boss) pushed it too far. I enjoyed the story aspect most but the changes made for that boss fight turned me off completely and it was no longer fun.

I’ve been playing this game since 2015 on my Android account. Recently, I decided to switch to an iPhone, so I contacted Kabam to transfer my account. They asked me for the exact date the account was created, along with several other very specific details. I tried to explain that I’ve changed 6 or 7 phones since 2015, so there’s no way I can remember the precise date my account was created. Unfortunately, they replied that they couldn’t help me because I wasn’t able to provide those exact details. That’s incredibly disappointing and not very helpful. After all the time and effort I’ve invested in this game over the years, it looks like I’ll lose everything once my old phone stops working. It’s frustrating that years of progress can be lost simply because I can’t remember a specific date from more than a decade ago.

Great game until BGs
Battlegrounds has completely ruined this game. Battlegrounds is unbelievably stacked, playing opponents with lower power, for them to still dogwalk my champs like it’s normal. Horrific. To top it off, it seems that even arenas are rigged now, especially when you get past the 3x mark. It becomes almost every other fight no matter who you fight, they become almost immortal. Kabam read some comic books before releasing new characters. CLOWNS.

I’ve lost my love for this game
I have had this game for many years now. I’ve had it since the Guardians Of The Galaxy characters were first added. The only game I have never uninstalled through boredom or to free space. However, I literally these days, am just keeping the game and logging in every now and again just to keep my progress. I’m not a die hard player like some, I used to just simply like playing the new quests each month and side quests to gradually build and unlock new characters during spare time around work. However getting older, life getting in the way, I get less time to do so but these past few years I think the game has become a lot harder to play for people like me. It feels like the game tries to force you to play at a stressful level and go further in the story to get anywhere or even just to kill a few moments to spare. I used to like how the game used to work, where you could select, the levels easy to expert or whatever was just above that. I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to use lower star characters. I also became a Level 60 years ago and this is still the highest level you can be at? I still to this day have found no way of adding to my skill tree. Has this just been forgotten about? I am so close to just letting go of this game but don’t want to lose all my progress. Feels like a massive waste of time. As for the new characters, (I know this may be to do with licensing) but there seems to be a lot of variations of characters coming out that we already have and characters original to the game, when I can still think of a lot of fresh new comic book characters who could be added. Barely touched on the Hulk, Ghost Rider, Thor and Iron Man villains still.
Fun to play
The amount of the different characters from the comics and movies makes this game fun. Once you get good with the movement it’s even better.

Everything about this game is rigged the computer always gets power ups that you have to pay actual money for and the matches you get put in are against players twice your power level, whoever made this game needs to actually do his job for once or delete it or get stuffed!!!!
