Aloras class of 16
Best app to keep my students in tacked it’s very helpful and keeps them in order and ready for class at 8:00 am and ready to start
No support
After sending FOUR emails to support without any response I felt a review was in order. I’ve worked in software for 25 years. I’m tech savvy. Uploading a CSV doesn’t take a PhD, so clearly that feature is broken. However, without any response from my support requests there is no way to know exactly what’s going wrong.
Communication/support
The app itself is not bad. I’ve been using it for several years, but if you’re trying to get in contact with anyone or get help, it is very difficult. So as long as things go well, it is good if something goes wrong good luck finding somebody to help you.
Glitchy
Won’t work if you have multiple rosters
Comment section doesn’t work
The comment section doesn’t always work. A lot of the time I type things in the comment section, you can’t see it. After you close go back to the roster, it shows you added a comment but you can’t go back an see it.
Great
Nice platform
No support
I changed phones and lost three years of data. Tried contacting the app developers several times and didn’t get a response. Had renewed my annual subscription days before changing phones, no refund. Frustrating and unfair practice.
Great App
Great app to track attendance. Allows creating classes and students easily. Reports are good from the paid premium version. Some questions if these functions are not available or how to use it these are already in premium version. 1. How to search for a student to mark attendance in a class for a day 2. Is it possible to control the layout, what fields are shown in the attendance reports.
Poor customer support
The app works just fine, however, I needed to reset my password, used the reset password function but never get the email for the reset. I have sent several requests to customer support and have received nothing. Most likely will let my seven day trial run out and choose another attendance app.
Archiving
Would be nice to be able to archive
Great app!
Great app!
Don’t pay for upgrade
I canceled with them because they never responded back to emails.
Easy to use
I am using this to track attendance for fitness classes. Easy to use but took a little while to figure out.
February 2024
The calander year for 2025 has not updated for February. If I’m paying a subscription for access to this app, why can’t I use it to its fullest?
No Longer Supported?
Great app. Use everyday for Multiple classes… but as we moved into Feb 2025, it appears to hit a glitch where the calendar defaults to 2018. Developers have not replied to our inquiry on the website. Anyone else having this issue. Using MAC OS version.
Simple
Easy to use!
No support no updates for past 2 years
There are multiple glitches and app doesn’t work anymore. All reviews are over 2 years old.
Almost perfect
Almost perfect for what I need. Would like an option for birthdate to be shown on daily attendance record. And also a way to adjust the times more easily without having to make different groups. Our Tuesday class starts at 2 and Thursday class starts an hour later. We also have once a month Saturday classes, so to be able to set the occasional Saturday’s would be great. I found a way around that but it’s not as streamlined as I’d like. Otherwise, exactly what I needed for our swim team attendance.
Surprised it charges for a most basic report
The app is useless without a basic attendance report which you have to pay for. Other than that, it works well. But there’s no way I’m paying $30 for something I can do in a free spreadsheet. Perhaps if I could have had one class I would have eventually seen the value to purchase, but when I’m hit with paying for a super basic report that is essential to taking attendance I have to say no thanks.
Sharing Presentation is Poor
Alora gets three stars because of its good usability. It does, however, lose significant marks because when you go to share or print off either class or student reports, it’s terrible. When viewing a student's data on the app, it is fantastic and visual in the way of a pie chart that gives you instant feedback on percentages etc. However, when you go to export it, send it to a colleague or print it, the presentation is quite bad, dull, messy and lacks all the excellent visual elements of the app. Even with the ‘fit’ button, the information, well, doesn't fit. I feel I am paying a lot of money for this option, and it's quite frankly not worth it, but, unfortunately, it is quite necessary. I would love for this area to be redesigned, in which case I would surely give it 5 stars.
Easy to use, great program
Very easy to use; love the reporting. Thanks
Poor collaboration between devices
Doesn’t work well with multiple devices.
Swim club attendance
Easy to download and set up for the owner. Did not flow as easy for the collaborators setting up. Maybe a review of the instructions for them would smooth this and give 5*
Many Glitches that need to be looked at
I’ve had this app for 1.5 years now and there has been no improvements made to it over this time. If one teacher updates the app it often doesn’t synch so another teacher isn’t seeing the same student list and check-ins If you add a student to the permanent class lists, sometimes they don’t appear in the class list on the calendar At the moment I can’t delete students from my student list The idea of the app is good, when it functions it’s great but it would be nice if some effort was made improving it and fixing the things that don’t work. I’ll be looking for a new app next year if the glitches aren’t rectified
Alright
Ok wellll can you change class students 😒😒
Easy, fundamental app for attendance
Easy to use. Could improve navigation through the app, but not hard to figure out. I like the features.
Not working
App kicks me out right before taking attendance.
Sufficient for our business for now
A useful app for our little business for now. I have made some suggestions to the developer - hope they get to them when they get a chance.
Not possible to sign up from phone or iPad
I’ve tried to sign up from both iPhone and iPad. You enter first name, then email, then it hangs on the password field. The keyboard does not show up. There’s no way to enter an initial password.
Print Reports?
Maybe I am missing something ... how can I print the reports? I like that there are multiple types of reports to view but I need to print them. Please advise.
Great
At first I did not understand how to do it but I figure it out
Pretty terrible
This app is pathetic for wanting to charge a subscription. The features and reporting are so basic it laughable they would even ask for a subscription. I won’t suggest changes and for something this pathetic I’ll just make my own app for our business needs. The ratings are definitely bought. I can’t stop smirking on how underwhelming and over priced this is.
Very useful
Straightforward app that does the job. It would be helpful if the downloads had the option to have a csv file that could go directly into a database; the current structure means I have to parse it before importing into a SQL database.
Works well but cost is ridiculous
The main reason I looked into this app was so that the sports club I help run could have a central easy place to log registers. But at £6.99 a month that’s ridiculous for what is just a register at the end of the day
Good but limited
Needs ways for multiple staff to share Needs an easier way to view the big picture of attendance
This so good
This app is my fav a pp cus on classdodj you need to have a LOT of storage and this app you can have even if you have a bit of storage
Subscription overload
This is a useful app; fair interface, very reliable, and has all the features (many more, actually) that I need. That being said, having to pay a subscription to generate a class report doesn’t seem right. I get it is a free download, but I’d rather pay once to get basic features and subscribe for all the bells and whistles than have a few basic features missing from a free version. Seems a bit like buying a tv and then having to rent your remote.
Missing dates
I love this app for keeping a record of my various classes but since it updated it missed the start of some months. I was unable to record the attendance for my Friday class. 1st of September.please fix asap
Pricey for what it does
I hate subscription services. It’s not worth the cost. I’d pay maybe $30 for a lifetime subscription but no way is it worth a monthly or annual cost. Will find a truly free alternative.
A few feature glitches
Unexplainable difficulty uploading some lists. Consistently can’t delete double entries. It seems a linear process (add to Students, then add to Classes) that’s really quick and easy.
Si es muy fácil
Me encanta
Need a membership
Need a membership to review any reports. Useless without membership
Great App
Is it possible to have the default for each class to be marked as absent rather than the default being that everyone is present?
Cannot get out of More screen
Looks nice and simple. Has it been tested with real users though? If you select more bottom right you’re stuck in a dead end. Cannot get back without closing down the app
One time fee options
Hello may I request a one-time fee option? For just generating a limited number of reports for export or maybe just simply viewing one type of report? Thanks
Home School dad
I just started homeschooling my 4 daughters, I am retired military so naturally I appreciate keeping things in order and simple. This app is how I keep track of their attendance and subjects with notes on what we did that day. Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Cannot figure this out
I'm trying to use this to keep attendance for my Zumba class as we need to report attendance for the center where class is held. I just want to enter names of regular participants so I can track this and this app doesn't appear super user friendly and the totals are not helpful.
Impressive
I tried about four similar apps before settling with this one. It's as flexible as it is easy to use. Very happy with it so far.
Templates limitation
The app general concept is great, but the limitation to only 2 free templates is a big deal. The app is not useful this way.
It’s ok
Would be 5 star if it also took track of the time that attendance was taken for each individual.
