What people like
- Helped people pass the bar exam
- Great for studying while on the go
- Explanations are better than competitors
What they complain about
- Login issues keep you out
- Can't highlight text or copy rules
- App crashes on Wi-Fi connections
Saving grace
Adaptibar has been a saving grace for me during Bar prep.
Bad, outdated software
This app feels like it was made circa 2005. If you close a video, it doesn’t pickup where you left off. If you are on the video selection, no showing of progress or which have been reviewed. The iphone version doesn’t have 1.25 speed but the online version does. Technically this is an app. It offers no functionality above the website, actually much less.
Good Product, Odd App
The service itself is great, but the app has some quirks I don’t care for that made me drop a star. My biggest gripe is I can’t highlight and look up words in the questions or explanations. Additionally, I can’t copy some of the more complex rules and explanations to have them dumbed down for me elsewhere. It times out a little too fast, though I’m not sure if the developer or Apple is to blame for that. Finally, the app could stand to be just a little bit cuter; the UI is a little archaic and unattractive. Other than that, it’s a great, stable app!
Error on customized exam
Once i change the subject, the following questions are from my previous selected subject. -_-^
Malfunctions
Can’t select only one topic for questions. And if you select settings in a certain order your preferences don’t register. Please fix this.
Great for studying
Great for studying on the go
Can’t choose sub topics anymore
New update messed up the ability to choose specific topics for a practice exam and can’t generate past questions.
Good for on the go
I need quick highlight a here selecting text gets you to highlight. I also need easier reading on the eyes so it would be great to be able to turn on a dark mode setting like the Barbri questions.
When it works
Decent app when it works. Right now it loads correctly, I select the MCQ subjects I’d like to take, go past the instruction page, and I’m met with a blank screen. I’ve updated to 26.5, restarted multiple times, nada.
Highly Recommend
The service itself it great (explanations are leagues better than barbri) and the app design is very user friendly. I actually prefer running questions on the app than the web version, kinda feels like a game.
I cannot login
I cannot login to the app… Please fix
Pretty good enough
I like not having to do bar prep at my desk. I wish it had the same review checkboxes as the computer version
Issue with connection
The app seems to have a connection issue when on wifi. I have to be on my phone cellular data to use. Content is good.
Really good
John grossman is the best and this website is great
Login Issues
Similar to other reviewers, I can’t log into this app with my normal adaptibar credentials
1st review
So far, so good. Your website has a LOT to learn for a user like me
Adaptibar Review
Honestly the best Bar Prep program on the market.
Won’t grant me access
When I try to log in it says the credentials are wrong, but i can login using the same credentials on the website
Bar prepping
I like that there’s an app. Makes it easy to do questions while not near my laptop
Useless
I subscribed to Critical Pass through my Barbri subscription to get access to flash cards. However, the app provides zero access to flashcards, which is the single most useful tool it could be used for.
So glad I got this
I use this more than my Barbri
It’s not worth
Do Barbri texts . This is not helpful for me . Thanks
Review Questions

Fantastic app
Thank you Adaptibar! I passed the California Bar Exam from the first try!
