What they complain about

Night prayer audio
Good app, but it’d be great to have an audio version for night prayer.
Issue with restart
The developer must look at the issue of the service restarting when it is momentarily paused or if another app is opened
Daily reminder
Fantastic app. I would say it can be improved by adding a reminder function like the time to pray app has.
No Audio
The audio option in the app seems to have disappeared. Please can you restore it?
Why??
I love this app, or rather, I used to love it, before you improved it. Why is it (and the same applies for the reflections app) that the text disappears, once I've read it, and why can't I jump back and forth between morning, evening, and night texts?
Great app with some irritating annoyances.
It appears that, unless the app is fully closed and reopened, it does not refresh to the next day’s readings. In most ways excellent. I'm delighted that the pop-up alternative readings, prayer cycle etc are now working. The 'accidental swipe left/right and go back to the beginning' is SERIOUSLY irritating however, and was not present on earlier versions. Fully recommended however as a significant help to maintaining a practice of daily prayer.
Update
Can’t update and although the message is that one can continue using the old app nothing happens. At 88 I don’t want to get another iPad , so am deprived of using the iPad for prayer...so back to the printed prayer book , something that is reliable.
Upgrade
I have used this for years. In a recent upgrade the spacing diamonds between verses have change to a larger font which is distracting. Please can we go back to the smaller size!
What Happened?
I used to love this app when there was audio recitations of the Daily Office (with beautifully sung prayers). Now all there is, is the written text! What happened? Please restore it to its original format! Thank you and Amen
Would be better if OT passages were used.
Over all it’s a good app but would be better if it stuck to Old Testament readings not the wisdom literature so that it would be accessible and relevant to all denominations. I could certainly recommend it more freely to others if this was the case.
One of my favourite apps
This is such a wonderful app. To have liturgy available by way of twice daily refreshed prayer sessions is so precious - prayer, readings, psalter. Wonderful. Thank you to all of those behind it.
Bugs
Please fix the bug that makes it returN to the beginning if you leave the app, or let your device sleep.
Wrong Day, right sound
The display is for 2 Jan, not 2 March. Please correct.
Lovely app but the echo
A truly wonder app albeit a bit lacking in style. The echo on the audio makes it difficult to listen to.
Good app but not a fan of the audio
Enjoy the app for devotions but not the audio. Voices are very monotone and uninspiring. I have another app for audio as they use an actor with a more dynamic in the expression.
Enjoyed this for a little no time
Have really enjoyed the app and love the audio feature. Do you have plans for others to lead the services or always the same woman?
Latest update two bugs
1. Scrolling - sometimes refuses to scroll. You can drag it down a bit and it jitters and bounces back. 2. Switching the app for another takes you back to the start of the office. This means that you can’t set up a reading, switch off the phone, and return to the reading by opening the phone. The scrolling issue makes it unreliable. The reset to the beginning issue on awakening from sleep means you can’t use it for the readings in a communal setting.
Wrong date
I love this app it inspires me every day - lately it has stopped working and has the wrong date (eg 10/12 evening is 20/12) please rectify
Slightly irritating bug on latest update
Hi, I have been using your app every day for daily prayer for years now and thank you as ever for giving me this great resource to help me pray. Since your latest update I’ve noticed an annoying bug. I cannot switch apps or lock the phone then go back to it without it resetting to the top of the service. Could you fix this please as I like to lock my phone while I’m praying then resume where I left off. Occasionally a call will come through and I will need to momentarily switch app, I cannot do this now without losing my place. Hope you can resolve this irritating little issue please. Thanks. God Bless
Wonderful app
The crystal clear calm female voice of the leader of the service sets the devotional tone perfectly. This is a really helpful app especially for someone like me who is not a particularly lover of formal liturgy. The audio version is very helpful. It has opened my eyes (and ears) to a new way of daily devotion. Thanks!
Will no longer work on older iPads?
My iPad runs iOS12.5.7, which is the latest it can run.I have been happily using DailyPrayer for a number of years, but the latest update has left me with a blank screen. The update needs iOS 15.6... but a message tells me to update DailyPrayer to the latest compatible version via the AppStore. When I try that I get a Download button, but tapping it does nothing but reappear. Does this mean that I can no longer use Daily Prayer?
Good app, but be consistent please.
The all is good, it’s great to have the daily office in your pocket. BUT please please can you have audio versions of the BCP office as well as Common Worship? It’s unfortunate for those of us that prefer the traditional liturgy, because it’d be great for us too to be able listen and read.
Love it particularly with audio
The decision to add a recorded version of the services has converted me to what felt previously felt a little 'soulless' internet version of prayers. Thank you for the staple group of beautiful, inclusive voices of readers and singers!
App frozen
App won’t scroll which is very frustrating and without tech support unhelpful. Deleted. Rebooted. Reinstalled. Still won’t scroll.
Holy……what?
The app is marvellous I use it on the way to work and back. However there are still many instances of the audio cutting out or no audio at all. Please fix it properly
Such a Blessing, Thank You🙏
Dear Friends, I am a guy with a severe physical disability, who has recently been moved to a non Christian nursing home by my local authority. I spend much of my time in bed and can no longer attend church. Your wonderful app has reignited my joy in my faith and gifted me daily fellowship. 🙏 I simply do not have the words to express how much this means to me. I simply offer you all up in prayer and blessing. JW (Bristol)
No audio
What’s happened to the audio feed on the app? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Also pretty poor that the only way of lodging this type of query is by writing a poor review. Anyone would think you didn’t want your subscribers to contact you…
Great
Please think about Audio for Compline night prayer shame I can’t just close my eyes and listen.
Really helpful app
This is a really helpful app for Daily Prayer - I particularly appreciate the audio part of it
No option to cancel
I have recently left the CofE and want to cancel my subscription. I find, however, on the subscription page there is only the option to renew… which happens automatically anyway. Just one more thing to confirm that my decision to leave was the correct one.
With audio
I was absolutely delighted when you added audio, because even though I have a significant loss, I like to listen as I follow the text. I like it that some of the elements are sung, but there are too many. Because of my hearing loss I lose track of where we are and sometimes I think you sing different psalms to the ones printed as I cannot find them. Also it would be extremely helpful for me to know the source of your intercessions or be able to view the exact text. I know these are specific requirements to match my disability, but God tells me I’m important still even so. I can’t wait until you do the same for Evening Prayer.
Daily prayer
Wonderful to hear psalms sung
No Audio
There is no longer any audio why???
New audio feature
Really grateful for the new audio feature. Adds another dimension to daily prayer. Only frustration (aware opinions may differ) is that I find the 'duo speaking' off putting. Every other line or so there's an extra voice which can get distracting after a few lines. I don't see why it can't be all or none. Preferably none.
Audio
Thank you for the audio which makes the prayers so much more enjoyable and inviting. Especially during these times when meeting with other Christians is impossible or sporadic, due to our churches being closed. When I say the prayers along with other voices I feel part of the family of God once again and therefore feel less cut off as well as strengthened and comforted. Lovely App which I follow it every day. I appreciate all the work which has been put into this.
Why has the audio been removed??
I’ve been using this app for a few months now and loved it. Now the audio has been removed and it’s lost its uniqueness. Please bring it back!
Love this
Great app - one suggested improvement, please could we have the more contemporary shorter version of the collect (a link to it maybe) as well as the trad one? Also agree that NIV NLT would be helpful.
