Easy app
Awesome app! Easy to use!
Bugs
A lot of bugs. Can’t even see the lyrics half the time
Pretty good
This is pretty good. It doesn’t have all the songs that I look for, but I like how I can add and make songs.
Don’t get the pro version
I had the free version, and could download songs. In order to be able to edit the songs, I paid for the pro version. This editing worked for about two weeks, then stopped working. I can’t get anyone from the app to contact me. Don’t waste your money on the pro version.
Disappointing
Quite disappointing. Very old fashioned feel, lots of ads. No chords in the free version.
Free Auto Scrolling
Everything you need. Chords, tabs, custom scroll speeds. Only downside is the very basic, UI but you get used to it.
The adds are obnoxious.
Worked great before but now it’s trash and I can’t exit out of any adds to actually get to a song.
No ADS?
I really like this app, BUT…I paid for the annual subscription for the PRO version WITHOUT ADS, yet I STILL get ADS!! When will this get fixed???
good source but with ads
Good source of material, just get rid of those “unclosable” more than 1 minute ads, jeezz
Doesn’t work with latest update
I’ve used this app for years but with the newest Apple update it won’t even open anymore hopefully it gets fixed soon so I can enjoy the app again but for now it’s just waiting to get all of the songs I had saved back
Ten year user!!
When I tell you I am so beyond shocked at how few reviews this app has! I started playing the guitar when I was 12, I’m 23 now. THIS has been the app I’ve used this entire time. They give you FREE chords and tabs, for multiple instruments mind you. You can create you own very easily if you wish, it’s just a wonderful tool in general. The transposing helped me develop my singing too, I mean, really. THANK YOU! This app helped develop ME in a sense hahaha
Could be great, but it’s not.
App is very limited. Needs to draw from larger number of websites for song files. Other apps will draw from eight or ten websites, this doesn’t. It is a good start as of 4/30/20! Checked back 2/2/25. Paid for the app, now I get an ad before every song. Lost a star for making your app worse.
Good
Needs update on music
wrong chords
Almost all chords are wrong
App doesn’t work any more
I’ve had this app for years and even paid for it , but now with the new update it don’t work any more . Please fix and I’d easily give this app 5 stars !!
Love this app
Learned tons of new songs and enjoy the large song database
Beware
Everything I had saved disappeared one day out of nowhere
Overall good app however...
I love the search feature that allows you to find what you’re looking for faster. Saving favorites is simple too. The only issue I have is that the chords listed above the lyrics overlap on my iPad and it makes it hard to see if it is a G or C in many(most cases). Perhaps other chord issues on the visibility side too but overall great app. Would purchase the $2.99 pro version if I could “login” from my other iPad and save my songs there but you can’t log in unless you’re “pro”. I’m not buying it twice to be able to see my saved songs on my other iPad. For the free version it’s not bad but upgrade a bit and I may consider spending the $ to upgrade.
Crash
Please fix the sync problem. Whenever i log in and restore purchase the app crashes
Another badly supported app
The tabs are great but once again the app support leaves a lot to be desired. Still getting ads after upgrading.
Excellent
Sometimes you have to look at several to find the correct tabs/chords but there’s a lot here.
Bring back auto scroll
I will find a different app where I don’t have to pay for auto scroll. Recent updates have really sucked!
Can’t open the app anymore
I’ve been using this app forever! It’s the best one I’ve found! So sad it’s not working since the new update! I can’t even open the app on my phone anymore. I’ve been thinking of deleting, but really don’t want to because I have so many songs saved that I love playing and don’t wanna lose my music!
Actually great! Last update sucks
Hey, the last update messed it all up. I’ve bugs with scrolling and text size and chord size. Really annoying! Please fix it asap! Update 2021/8/25: still not really fluent. Keeps beeing stuck on scroll all the time.
Bad update
The app was great, but the most recent update is terrible, the songs and artists won’t load, the app crashes every like 10 minutes, liked it until this happened ☹️
🎼🎤🎸😎👍🏼
Love this app‼️ It’s got almost all the songs or Artists I’ve looked up & shows the chords, tabs & lyrics!
Update bug
The most recent update about a few months ago was good. But just today I opened the app and no longer are my artists and favorites in alphabetical order. It’s all missed up and difficult to find the songs I want to practice
Needs Update
The app is missing some newer songs from the recent months. Other than that, I love the app, and love that you can transpose without a limit for free.
Transposing
Please bring back the transposing option so I can give 5 stars. That is all this app is missing
Cannot change key
On my Android and even my Nook (rooted) I can transpose keys Would love to have that function back Great selection of songs.
Tabs and chords
Very easy to use and follow. It’s a total how package. With YouTube it’s perfect!
Useless
This used to be good... now it’s just a total load of crap
Ok alternative
I have used this app for awhile and really dig into it recently. Sometimes there is not an accurate version of a song available (such as merle haggard make it through December) which is slightly annoying. A simple request: it would be nice to be able to make folders/directories in the favorites menu. Also, it would be nice to be able to edit tabs stored in your favorites so that you could correct inaccurate chords.
Disappointed
Search functionality has suddenly stopped working. Type artist name in search bar, matches come up (as always). But when you select the artist to open list of songs, nothing happens. Spins, then goes back to matching names. Sent an email about this issue. Have not heard back. Very disappointing.
Scrolling speed poor.
If you want to play anything at a slower tempo then you’re screwed with the current version of this app. The scrolling speed seems to have a default setting of fast or faster. The lyrics to any slow song are quite quickly gone long before you get to them. There must be an easy enough fix to this like creating some sort of BPM dial allowing the user to enter a BPM that accurately reflects the tempo of the tune and thus the scrolling speed. Unless this problem is just limited to iPhone users.
To good to be true
Well boys and girls. This is really an update to a review I posted earlier. And I MUST say I am impressed. Customer service actually got back to me quickly and basically held my hand through the registration process and once we got that done everything worked great. And better than expected the simplicity is the key to how great this app is . A clean interface with just what you need and a little bit more but not overwhelming Bravo! Well worth the effort
Disappointing
I’ve used this app for a longgggg time. Loved it. But then out of nowhere, it just stopped working. Nothing loads. It only allows me to search artists, not songs. And once I click the song under the artist, it won’t come up most of the time.
Bonne appli
Les favoris peuvent se synchroniser sur plusieurs appareils. Merci pour cette appli.
A little problem
It happened quite a few times that whenever I favourited a song, it didn't came out in the favourite section no matter how many times I click on the 'add to favourite'. And also sometimes when I want to search for a song it said internet connection error even though my connection is just fine. Please fix these :(
potential
its a good app, has most of the songs im looking for, but sometimes i cant scroll all the way down to the songs im looking for- also searching is a bit of a pain because sometimes i’ll look for a singer/songwriter and it wont appear but i’ll look for the song and i’ll find it??? with the same name as the singer and everything idk thats weird but overall its pretty okk
Tabs and chords
Has a lot of the songs that you usually dont find on other apps.
POS APP. Don't waste your time on this app! It's worthless.
This app is worthless. All it does is load for an hour with no results. If you want to be disappointed, more power to ya get this app!!! I couldn't care less!
Love it, but...
I absolutely loved this app when I had it on my old phone, and it was an older version of the app, but when I got my new phone and downloaded the app, it was obviously the most recent version and for some reason they removed the function of transposing the chords which is really unfortunate because it really made the app perfect and adaptable to musicians with any range for they could change the song to any key. If they brought back this option the app would be perfect!
Hopes Dashed.
What started as a promising app quickly proved itself otherwise. The access to saved tabs offline? Great...if the app actually opens and stays open (it crashes). Search engine? Great - when it works. It Freezes when cycling during search. Chords and tabs? Same ones found on other sites. No option or possibility to print tabs from phone/iPad? Fail. I was hopeful. Now I'm searching for something better.
Glitchy as heck
VERY GLITCHY and not many alternative songs or bands you have never heard of. Only famous groups appear. It gets the job done; but sometimes when scrolling it will cut off at a certain point, or, the tab won't open, or it'll crash. Very meh. Just spend the 2.99$ on Guitar Tabs Pro
Better Than One Might Think
At first I thought that this was a rather simple plain Jane guitar app. However, after hours of use and only one ad, I then discovered the powerful transposition feature on the left rail, the history and favorites feature in the menu, and a deeper selection of complex songs in its search feature (for example, the entire B Side Abbey Road Medley in a single chart, which I now play along with), I felt compelled to write an app review; not an easy thing to do since the app is farther down from the more popular apps, all of which I have tried and for one reason or another deleted. Thank you developers for making this rather exceptional and powerful app available for free. Other apps require subscription for what this fully featured app offers for free. Anyway, I strongly recommend this wonderful App to anyone who loves guitar and learning to play both popular and more difficult challenges such as I mentioned above. Well, now then, back to practice…
Don't
Very disappointed don't waste your time
Only Tab app I use
This is one of the best apps I have been able to find. It works most of the time, but recently when I search something it shows the loading symbol then stops
Guitar chords and tabs no autoscroll
This is the kind of app that I have been searching for a long time! Unfortunately, it does not have an auto scroll feature for iphone. Sad thing. I wish it could have one so that it would be perfect! :(
Pretty good
I would buy the upgrade if I knew it'd be coming with more songs and you'd actually put the price there so I knew how much it was.
