It shouldn’t be complicated
When I click play on an album , play the entire album, not the first track and then stop. Why in the world would that that not be the simple, assumed default. This whole app needs to be reconsidered from the perspective of mildly techie users that just want to play music. I’m a big fan but at this stage in the game, please reduce complexity and think about the real world.
Why does it paste every time?
Why does it try and read from the clipboard every time you switch to it? What data are you trying to capture? This is spyware behaviour.
Nice control app
Nice control for my squeezebox server on my Linux box. Only two complaints. I’d like to see the file format at bottom while playing as I have the same recording in multiple formats. The Material browser format has that. And the other thing I’d like to see is a hide option for the “power button”.
Needs fixes
Volume control is moving around by itself! Must be annoying the neighbors
Steuerelemente verschwinden
Der größte Mehrwert der App gegenüber der direkten Steuerung über die LMS-Oberfläche ist, dass dann die nativen Apple Steuerelemente für Musik genutzt werden können, die auch im Standbybildschirm angezeigt werden. Damit wäre eine schnelle Steuerung jederzeit möglich. Leider bleiben die Steuerelemente nur kurz bestehen, dann verschwinden sie wieder. Daher gebe ich die App zurück. Sollte ein Update das Problem beheben, werde ich sie wieder erwerben.
Terrific Must Have App for Squeeze Lovers
This is a terrific, stable app. Being fairly new to Squeezebox with a lifetime subscription to Roon, I was nevertheless satisfied that Squeeze delivers superior sound quality co pared to Roon. But the interface and lack of metadata with LMS in my Safari browser was a strain to use. iPeng makes the playback experience very palatable, and while nothing close to Roon insofar as interface and music discovery is concerned, iPeng delivers the wondrous SQ of Squeeze in a nicely laid out GUI that provides a great experience. And the developer is awesome, responding quickly with a helpful solution to a small matter I’d addressed. So the excellent support earns big bonus points. I highly recommend this app for Squeeze lovers in the iOS ecosystem.

Cue sheets
IPeng can no longer handle cue sheets stored on my NAS. forwarding to the next track always plays the first song of the album. What’s wrong?
Appears abandoned
Used iPeng for years. No updates in about two years, and has various bugs: album art appears/disappears, missing albums, song titles in playlists sometimes get shifted to the left "under" the artwork box, maybe others I've not noticed. All of the above do not happen running side-by-side against my Android/Linux clients. Too bad. Going to have to delete it unless they resurrect it and fix these issues
App mit Fehlern
Generell ist die App nicht schlecht zum Steuern des LMS. Leider sind nach dem Hinzufügen von neuen Musiktiteln und anschließendem Rescan weder die Coverbilder noch die Albumtitel/Interpreteninfos sichtbar. Dies kann nur durch einen Reboot des Iphone behoben werden, eigentlich ein Unding! Das geht bei der leider nicht für IOS verfügbaren App Squeezer besser…

That this, the definitive Squeezebox remote control app, continues to be refined and updated, more than a decade after Logitech stopped making this ahead-of-its-time audio music streaming line, speaks to the dedication of its app developer. Together with a server app continuously updated by a devoted user community, the only thing keeping the Squeezebox ecosystem from lasting indefinitely are the now decades old players themselves. And there are even replacements for those now, too. What was Logitech thinking in discontinuing this now classic streaming platform?
Auto pasting? Really?
Version 9.8.4 returns with … spyware! You keep attempting to paste from other apps. This is both annoying (as iOS can see you do it and prompts me) and enraging, since I paid money for this app. This is garbage freeware behavior. Knock it off.
My library on my phone, YES!
Takes a bit to understand GUI. I bought the extra add on ability to play on phone directly. Totally worth the extra $$$ Pandora thumbs up/down don’t work for me
Keine Verbindung zu mysqueeze.vom
Wenn ein lokaler Server läuft ist die Verbindung und Steuerung kein Problem, allerdings ist eine Verbindung mit mysqueeze.com nicht möglich. Online Nutzung damit unmöglich und damit unbrauchbar. Schade :(
Please bring back album titles for Album Artists tab!
Just updated to latest version and every view except that one has the title under the artwork. This change simply doesn’t make sense. I’m a long time user and the app was already spot on. Please don’t mess with something that did not need changing.
Please make an Apple TV version!

Terrible phone UI
The UI is terrible on a phone and feels extremely dated. Annoying forced help pop ups that you can skip but not disable. Expensive for what it is, I see no reason to use this app over the material skin which works nicely as a PWA app when added to the Home Screen, only it’s missing lock screen controls. Looks like the author has abandoned the app, but left on sale at a high price for what it is. Avoid.
The best!
Recently I ran into problems running picoreplayer and LMS. I had heard of competing streamer software like Roon and Volumio and gave them a try. Afterwards I was disappointed in their interfaces and returned to the original setup using Ipeng. Nothing even comes close for functionality and playback options. It’s simply the best you’ll ever need
Some functionalities are non-operational
- The Playback in-app purchase was a waste of money, it‘s neither working on my iPhone nor iPad. - The app doesn’t connect to mySqueezbox.com, even though Private Relay is not activated.
Good but problems
This is a great idea however if I select the first track of an album it plays a few seconds of the track and the jumps to a track further in the album. If I select an album and play from there the album plays fine. Not an ideal word round. I can’t see anything obviously wrong and I don’t get the problem when using the Squeeze Box Touch. Internet radio is great.
Essential for LMS
Coolio has done an outstanding job with the iPeng app. It allows me to control all my music sources very easily on my iPhone.
Unable to log in after update
The app no longer sees my players and does not log into the squeezebox website. It’s a blank. Annoyed that I paid for this.
Good but tidal and pandora not workin
I love this app but for about the last year i won’t stream from tidal or pandora. Used to work great but now won’t connect

Great app. Since upgrade to iPhone 13 issues
Intermittently, I get distorted audio (sounds like being in a wind tunnel) since I upgraded my phone from iPhone X to iPhone 13. My network environment has not changed. I close then re open the app and it seems to fix the issue. It only happens when I use the phone as the player. Playing directly from my squeezebox server connected to my amplifier there is no issue. I have squeezebox version 8.2.0. Please help! Thanks !
Excellent app
Great app for managing my music and players on my Logitech Music Server. It’s just about the only app out there with a clean, streamlined interface. It is not constantly shoving ads down my face. No ads, just my music. Briefly downloaded Roon to try, but was instantly turned off by the fact that you can’t even sort your artists in a simple list, you have to scroll through them in a gallery image format. IPeng simply gives me all of the control and manipulation of my music and it’s on interface that I could ever want.
Paying twice for it.
I bought iPeng for my iPad and everything seemed to work apart from playing the actual music!!!! Now it wants me to pay again to play music!!,, It never played the first time I paid so why would I have confidence in the product:(

having issues switching between players with a iphone 11pro, seems stuck and won’t switch. issue doesn’t come up on my iphone 8 or 6
Quite useless due to a bug
I can’t sign in to my MySqueezebox account for there are no credential fields showing up.
Buggy
Is good enough for connecting to the different players, but recently have started to see a lot of issues when playing from the app on the phone speakers, for instance the songs will randomly skip, restart and repeat on their own. Also sometimes will glitch out very badly and lag and sometimes you can only hear white noise, and the only way I have solved this problem is by resetting the app. This does not happen on any of the other players in the house, so unfortunately must this app causing the problem. Probably needs bug fixes and updates please.
Solid, beautifully designed
I recently set up a piCore Player with Allo Digione HAT, and I use iPeng exclusively to access my music library. Having never used Roon or anything similar, I have nothing to compare it to except itself. So far, it’s a joy to use. I was surprised to find that it displays additional data that I know didn’t come from the CD metadata. For example, you can find pull up individual tracks under the name of the artist who wrote them (example: search for Dan Wilson and you can pull up the songs he wrote for Adele). I can’t evaluate some of the deeper features, of which there appear to be many, because my needs are not complex. But suffice to say, I love the flexibility and ease of use, and hope the developer continues to support it for a long time to come.
Junk App. Wrecked a fully indexed Apple iTunes library.
Imported to Zenmini. Circa 50 Gb. About 70% misapplied or missing.. I have no idea why Innuos recommend this useless app..
Slick, attractive and (mostly) functional
Full disclosure, I am a Squeezebox user and have been stumbling along with a perfectly adequate controller (Squeezer) on my wife’s ancient Android tablet. But the tablet is on its last legs and I am basically an iPhone/Pad user so I have been looking for a good Apple -friendly way to control my Squeezebox via WI-FI. iPeng, for the most part, does this beautifully. Design is tidy and everything works (including the $4.99 add on which turns your Apple device into a player), except there seems to be a small glitch backing out of the “what’s playing now” display to the main menu. Basically the “back” arrow seems to need multiple nudges before it will take you to main menu. The other “problem” is lyrics: they don’t display. I am guessing it may be a user problem more than an iPeng problem, but... All in all, the program, though, is a delight. And it works equally well on my iPad.

I was a very contented user of iPeng 6. I was forced by a rebuild of my phone & upgrade to ios11 on my 5S to _buy_ and install iPeng 9. Compared to iPeng 6 it’s buggy, laggy and has a more confusing UI with numerous hard-to-identify glitches. Don’t upgrade unless you have to.
Truly awesome remote control app for my stereo
I have been using iPeng for years and love it. I literally haven’t touched my stereo in months. I use LMS and Squeezelite on a Raspberry Pi connected to a digital input on my stereo. Another reviewer mentioned piCorePlayer which also works very well. Sound is excellent. I can control the stereo from any iPhone or iPad that is handy. Recent versions of LMS will extract all metadata from iTunes music files to show album art, details like author/performers etc. I tried other music servers like Roon and Volumio and found their UI clunky in comparison to iPeng. If you are looking for hardware to run LMS and Squeezelite and connect to your DAC or receiver check out Allo’s product line.
Has scope for improvement
It strips out all bells and whistles from Qobuz, Spotify and Tidal. You have to login to individual apps, create playlists and repeat. It’s a good attempt to consolidate.

This app saved my extensive Squeezebox network. Setup was fairly easy; one star taken off because the interface is a bit difficult to understand at first.
Updates failure
It’s a pity that after updates certain apps like Tidal and Spotty don’t work anymore. Very disappointing!
Bitrate
I am using iPeng to control a Daphile music server. The app works fine but it would be nice to see the bitrate of the music that is playing. The Daphile web UI shows this info, but iPeng does not.
Reawakened a sleeping SqueezeBox Boom
Had an unconscious SqueezeBox Boom for a couple of years. Remote was misplaced and Logitech stopped supporting their app. Asked some buds how were they controlled their SqueezeBox music system libraries they said with iPeng⁉️ Went looking in the App Store and there it was with the lil blue penguin. I purchased downloaded loaded my existing SqueezeBox account information and I was up and running in under 5 minutes on my iPhone and iPad. Flawless install and integration wish I found iPeng sooner !
I had such high hopes!
I bought the app because Logitech no longer supports Squeezebox. I thought this app would work. Problem is that it takes too long to load my songs off my PC (my music). Also no support of Pandora (app that is still on my Squeezebox). How do i get my money back?

I’ve enjoyed this app. At times it has trouble finding the server. However, most of the time it works well.

So hard to use
It does what it's supposed to do, but man is it hard to use. Things like if you swipe left at the top of the screen it does one thing, but if you swipe left at the bottom of the screen it does something different. Not intuitive at all. Still struggling to use it and it's very frustrating. It has help guides that step you through things but I can't find anything else. You need to open instructions on your PC and follow along with the app, but I can't find that kind of instructions. There's buttons that you press and I can't tell what they even do..
Reliable way to play music on my Squeezebox
Logitech seems to have abandoned real support for the Squeezebox player years ago, but this app does a great job of talking to the interface and giving you lots of options for playing audio. The interface does take some getting used to, probably because of those many options. But once you master it, you're in control. And the developer is very responsive if you need support, so it gets 5 stars from me.

I'll never get used to the interface. But it works.
Get rid of the custom font
Use the system font. Seriously. Just don’t use a custom font, ever. Also, save the app prefs ON THE PHONE. It’s infuriating to open the app and have different buttons at the bottom of the UI that I didn’t pick only to have them reset to my preference anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes later.
