Well designed solar app
Thank you for taking the time to create and maintain this app. Iβve been using this for several years now and have gained a much better understanding of the sunβs path throughout the day and year. Initially, I used it to plan where to sit at a baseball stadium π. Now, I use it for a number of outdoor activities, particularly hunting and camping
Setting time
Without possibility set time in which I want to know the sun position (not only in actual time) is this app useless for me.
Very Nice
This app is very clean with a nice interface. There are a couple of things that would make the app much more useful. Being able to show the sun when the time position isn't 'now'. Also if it displayed the altitude and azimuth of the sun. The app obviously has this data already, why not display it?
summer time
When i look for sunrise/sunset times in the future, in summer time, there is an one-hour-error. How about a switch to change to UTC? Karsten.
Location Finder
Hi , This is great app and also your web service is great . Thanks . However I noticed that I canβt find many places when try to search. i.e. I was looking for Merzouga in Morocco and it wonβt come up . Is there a way to fix it. This app will be much more useful to if it could search places.
Excellent app
I love the simplicity of this app; as someone who enjoys sunrises and sunsets, I often just want to know what time and in what direction I will find the sun. There are lots of apps that offer much more information, but that gets in the way of what I usually need. I've been using this app for many years, and it's always been stable and easy to use.
Schlecht
Sehr schlecht...... Fast keine ort oder stadtteil kann man finden
Delightful Little App
Pretty handy tool when laying out landscaping or planing a jobsite set up and operation and itβs just actually pretty darn fun. If there were an option for Apple Maps or Open Source Maps this would be perfect. My only niggle is having Google invade my de-Googled iPhone.
SunCalc crash
SunCalc is a great tool but at present the app keeps crashing on my iPhone. Not reliable at the moment and very unstable. Please fix otherwise itβs useless
Photographers need this app!
The best app.
Crashes after the launch
After the last update the app crashes right after the launch.
Make Google Maps Current
The Google Maps are not current. The Satellite view shows how old they are.
Neat app works well: Time zone error
The app is really helpful for determining sun exposure and shadows. I live in PA near Ohio--- on taking my device to the east coast shore, I found that the time of sunrise was shifted one hour later actual local sunrise time. Based upon this error, I missed the opportunity to photograph sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. ,
Exactly what you need
This app is perfect for its purpose. Simple and elegant.
Crashes at start!
Horrible....
Sun rise sun set.
How to get Temperature, just suddenly came on. Very good. Thanks.
Not accurate
The compass is not accurate. Was checking and comparing with the iPhone compass and the real direction of the streets. Also the compass sign is not accessible in the right top corner. When I try to click on it, the date menu appears (unless it has never meant to be used..)
Perfect for photographers
I do a fair amount of motorsports photography and while I know my local tracks this is still a great help in determining where I need to be on track at what time. Simple but effective.
Does not work..
Does not give the correct info...
Really Nice
Iβve just downloaded this app and it seems to have exactly what Iβve been looking for. You can see where and when the sun is duration of sunshine and temperature. Combine this with no information being collected and I think Iβm going to really like this. I will be updating this review in about a month or so. If I may suggest some additional display could the developer include azimuth and information on the moon. Good job.
Ganz nett, aber...
...es gibt keine Suchfunktion fΓΌr Orte. Bringt mir also nur bedingt was im Vorhinein. Man muss halt manuell suchen, was ganz schΓΆn dauern kann^^
Fantastic tool for camping.
This app is an incredible tool for camping and hiking. Offline mode works extremely well. The interface is easy and intuitive. I use it to determine how to align my tent for morning light, and to align my RV to keep it from warming up too much. My only request would be for an Apple Watch version for while Iβm hiking.
Nice app - numbers would be nice
The app works and shows me where the sun will be. The only thing I would like (& why it 4 stars not 5) is that I would like to see the numbers for the azimuth and elevation. This gives a good graphical representation but I then need to translate that to data.
Such a great tool!
I love this app! It's simple, straightforward, and focused in its purpose. Elegant. I use it somewhat frequently to figure out when sunrise/sunset is in different places, and in the Before Times, I frequently used it before boarding Southwest Airlines flights to figure out where the sun would be relative to our flight path and help me decide which side of the plane to sit on. Sometimes it's nice to have shade for reading/napping, and other times it's fun to see the sunrise/sunset. :D This app deserves far more attention than it gets!
Good practical app
Great layout and I like the daylight duration. Can you add the sun attitude in real time? You already have the position relative to the ground. Just need to add a number in a small text box.
Unique outstanding app!
Been looking for a app like this for some time ! Canβt believe I found it this is a unique Design app that gives you the Data your looking for! If you are thinking of downloading this app do it now I really believe you will not be disappointed!!( Really ) Thanks to the Developers who Designed this unique app! Nothing more to say except ( Download It )
Great app
Luv the google map intergration, -1start not able to change time , only date
Excellent
Amazing app
Love SunCalc.net!
Love the Windows version of SunCalc.net for more uses than I can count. Excited to find app for my iPhone. Wish I could see the altitude and azimuth of the sun on the iPhone app. Hopefully that will be included in future updates. Great app now but having for info available would put it over the top
Must have for interior designers
This app is super powerful , is a must have for interior designers , realtors and builders. Know direction of sunrise and sunset , just input your address or allow app for locatikn access.
Works as advertised.
Clever little app brings much (though not all) of the utility of the suncalc.net Website to the iPhone. It shows you the position and trajectory of the Sun at a user-defined date and time. Useful for photographers or people shopping for real estate who want to know how much sunlight a given property will get.
