Not Bad
Parents and developers - i know this is just another random, long review, but I ask you to please take a couple minutes of your time reading this. Overall, this app isn’t bad at all. Because of the pandemic, I wasn’t able to learn cursive in my third grade and fourth classes since they were all virtual (I’m now in sixth grade). So when I got the app, I started practicing. This app works pretty well - it shows you the letter, how to write it, and then has you write it too. It’s great for learning and practicing, and if it starts to get boring, you can change the settings so that when you are tracing, you trace with cool 3D lines instead of plain boring pencil lines. There are no ads, which is definitely a plus, especially if there are six and seven year olds using this. I now know how to fluently write in cursive, but I still keep the app for my first grade sister. The one thing with the app is that even with the cool trying stuff, it gets boring quickly. After about five to ten minutes in this app, I would get distracted and I would disengage really quickly. If you could maybe make a coin system, maybe every time you learn and practice a letter a certain amount of times, you get coins. You could then buy new tracing things in a shop, instead of getting them all for free. This could easily be five stars if you did that, but again, just a suggestion. Great job overall, and if you are a parent, I recommend buying this app if you want your child to learn cursive. Thanks for Reading! ~ARandomSixthGrader~

Weird
Doesn’t include uppercase cursive
While I appreciate that the app has lowercase cursive and there are no issues with that, my son is also trying to learn uppercase cursive and I did not see any option for this. I’m willing to change my rating if I’m mistaken but I went through all the options and couldn’t figure it out. Sort of disappointing since he has trouble just using the tracing books and this is a method that generally really works for him.

If you’re looking for an app that helps you with letters cursive basically anything you really need help with that is a riding app this is a really good app for your kids because you draw and have fun too. I think it’s a really good app and your kids will love it

I found a mistake in this app, I found this when I was tracing around a word with “Draw only on Model” on, then I found some messy lines that were not on the model. Fix this please.

Letters are not cursive!
This app seems to think cursive letters are just print letters with tails. I completely messes up k, b, x and others, which will TOTALLY CONFUSE YOUR CHILD! App should show all the letters so teachers and adults can know what they are getting into. None of the letters with ascenders even have loops for ascenders. This is not simply a matter of “my version of cursive is different than yours.” This is fundamentally being too lazy to make actual cursive.

Very glitchy app
This app is very glitchy. It started off okay, and the effects are really nice, but once we got to the letter b it would not allow us to continue tracing the letter. It was like it did not sense the touch halfway through the letter. We tried several other letters and it does the same thing. It is a great concept, if only it would work properly. We even got the paid version so we’re out $5 for a non-working app.

Inclusion of UK cursive font with a 'b' which is closed at the top would make it useful as a home teaching tool. As it is, I'm afraid it's £3.99 wasted for me.

L’app customisable est super, on attire l’attention des enfant avec les jeux, c’est super! Par contre, il manque qqchose pour que je puisse les laisser jouer en toute autonomie: 1- l’enchaînement automatique des exercices ( d’une lettre a l’autre, ou d’un mot à l’autre) 2- ajouté a cela une option sur le nombre de répétition de chaque mot : 1, 2, 3, 4, ou 5. En ayant 1 par defaut. Cela pourrait etre un mode guidé ou intégré aux modes existants. L’utilisation de la fleche est difficile d’accès, et fastidieux. Great, but.....
My daughter has been using this for a couple of months now. We have been adding her spelling tests to it. It's really helped her with writing. Not sure if it's a bug, but for some reason it won't let her write the word 'mischievous'. It stops at the letter 'h' and will go no further. A shame, because up until now we have had no issues.
Fabulous #1
As an educational Therapist, with my Masters in special education and as a reading specialist, this is my #1 recommendation! Really brilliant students with dyslexia will write their letters differently every time so it never gets anchored into their memory the same and is easily confused. This program anchors in the direction of the letters while they hear it. Fabulous. I’ve recommended these products so often I should be making commission !

Cette application est très bien faite. Ludique avec des niveaux de difficulté croissants, les enfants adorent. Cependant, lorsque un mot contient ël, le geste est arrêté à la fin du e pour faire le tréma et reprend pour faire le l alors qu il faudrait continuer le geste et faire le tréma seulement après avoir écrit le l. Autre remarque, certaines majuscules ne s accrochent pas correctement avec les minuscules (ex: Gr)
A definite asset
My visually-oriented kindergartener, who reads at a 3rd grade level, was having a bit of a problem following directional instructions for making cursive letters. After 10-15 minutes a day playing with the Cursive app, and then going back to his printed worksheets, he is breaking through his barriers. The animation feedback, repetition, and totally dispassionate patience of the app is just the thing he needed. Our 2-year-old preschooler, while playing with the Writing Wizard app, is learning small motor skills and the importance of following instructions. Because of the miscellaneous animations, she is also learning physics, fluid dynamics, and so much more. We have definitely recouped our investment in the app by the end of this first week.
Suggestions
As a parent I really like this app and so does my child (3) but I think it needs audio recordings for each letter such as "a - around the apple and down the leaf" "b - down the laces and around the toe" these can be found on early years phonics sites. Such audio content would also interest younger users and also a picture of phonic related object. Please avoid silly music because so repetitive :)
