What people like
- GPS helps you find spots later.
- Great for picking the right lens.
- Lets you preview shots before shooting.
What they complain about
- Battery drains way too fast.
- Promised updates never actually arrive.
- Can't add notes to your frames.
Useful tool for finding images
This is a great tool that helps in selecting a lens to give the best perspective for a great photo.
Limited and expensive
This app will not allow me to view anything wider than a 35 mm. Seeing that I purchased this app to scope out what 24mm wide shots would look like for a location scouting it was useless. My battery also drained from 30% to dead in 20 minutes of using on a new iPhone 6s Plus that has not had that problem with other apps. Would like a refund
Z-Cam E2-F6 is missing
This app is good but unfortunately don’t have any Z-cam flagship in its virtual camera setting. I hope they add this soon. Many filmmakers are using this cinema camera now.
Still no iPhone 6 support?
Purchased the app a couple of months ago - before the iPhone 6 note appeared on the description in the AppStore - still waiting for the promised update. Very disappointing for a premium priced app...
Worth the price!
While it may seem expensive, this is a fantastic way to scout/preview images. It keeps getting better thru great updates and enhancements. Whether for film or digital, highly recommended.
Great App!
A very useful app for people like me shooting with large format cameras. Best tool for location scouting and checking lenses. Only thing I miss is the possibility to write notes to a frame. If this is possible I rate for 6stars!
Great App
Very convenient having a tool to compose future shots with you all the time. GPS feature makes it great to be able to go back and find those pic opportunities later.
Flip option
Handy app. It would also be useful to be able to flip the view horizontally and upside down, especially when using large and medium format finders.
Amazing, work horse app
I’ve used this app for years now and love it. So many features were framed using this app!
Nearly Perfect
This is exactly what we are looking for at our photography studio to allow the stylist to stage a product/setting prior to the photographers arrival, saving a lot of time. The only missing feature that would be a HUGE help is custom aspect ratios or a custom overlay so that we can visualize a clients crop requirements. Being able to see both the camera aspect ratio and an overlay of a custom crop size would be fantastic.
Great time saving app
this app allows instant previsualization before trying lenses and setting up camera
Tool for Architectural Photographers
I am using the MIIAV with the ALPA ACAM converter and it really works providing me with a useful tool to scout projects adjusting my compositions by simulating to image to match each of my lenses and camera back combinations.
Fantastic!
This app just does exactly what I need to to. So easy to use, so customizable, so worth every penny!! You will not regret getting this app!!!
Simply Invaluable!
This a a must for any serious photographer. It does everything it claims and more. When I’m in the field, I use it many times per day. In addition to previsulization, it functions as a notebook for scouting potential shots. The gps function enables return to the precise location. I always use it to locate and set my initial tripod position. The map function could be enhanced with the addition of a direction indicator. Easier access to the time/date data would also be an improvement.
Fotographer
Amazing app , very helpful
Indispensable
A highly customizable app that helps me select equipment and lenses before setting up the camera. Also useful when scouting locations to preplan shots.
Indispensable tool
Absolutely amazing way to set up shots. I have multiple cameras loaded with all their respective lenses. One quick location picture and I can see all the possible framings.
