NorthWalesLive
It good but a bit slow
Too many ads
It's so difficult to actually read an article on this app. The article is segmented in amongst a ridiculous number of ads. Avoid - get the news elsewhere!
Nitram
Pretty good but spelling and grammar leaves a lot to be desired
Displays wonky on my iPhone SE2020
Always enjoyed catching up on news in North Wales on previous versions of this app, but latest update doesn’t display properly- nothing sized right or centred on screen anymore - real mess - very sad
New update but still articles that are 2 years old or more
Poor content and very old content. Lots not relevant to North Wales. Needs a shift away from English news and keep it wales.
Robin H V Pritchard.
Local news for local people. But I do wish reporters would stop calling Police(cops)is it a reflection of their upbringing and have drifted into local reporting.?.I also dislike the adverts before a news item, and when it eventually arrived it’s often dreadful. However all in all a good job.But as my headmaster used to say,(many years ago)always room for improvement.Regards R Pritchard.
Out of date stories
It might be worth on the next update to add a feature that deletes some of the stories that are several years out of date.
Comment section never works
I never seem to be able to access the comments sections on any of the news stories. I would also like to point out that I have often found spelling and grammar mistakes in a lot of the articles.
Handy little app
A handy little app that keeps me updated with snippets of North Wales news. No in-depth coverage but has enough to keep me interested. Nicely presented and organised but seriously annoying when it cuts out on me, this happening all too often.
Excellent
Loved it. Great app. Thank you.
Get it right … please!
Yet again after an update it’s lost my preferred ‘channels’ Not only is there questionable journalism, a severe lack of geographical knowledge of where North Wales is but now, the app developers can’t code correctly. Poor, poor and thrice poor
Articles
Still waiting for Farm and Country to appear in topics as it was a few years ago.
What no search feature
A very good new app, however no feature to search for old or new news items. Massive shame for such a great service.
As it happens!
It’s great to be able to see and read the news locally as it happens. As we know weather can vary within short distances. Always first port of call for latest news. Thank you.
My sections not refreshing
Having to delete the app and reinstall to get local news very disappointed old version worked better
Adverts
To many of them to try and comprehend, let alone follow a story
Need some decent reporters
The idea and execution are very good, unfortunately the writers are not, repeating the headline 3 or 4 times in a 1 paragraph story is lazy and annoying
Wisskid
Top app excellent 10out10👍
Can’t add as widget anymore
After the latest update, you just get a blank square in the news section where this used to be. Tried deleting and re-adding but no option to add it back.
So irritating
Used to love this app but for last couple of weeks when you scroll up and if you happen to catch the blue writing with your finger the page jumps sideways to another page so bloody frustrating does it all the time
Idiot comments
The App works well. Content is good. I’d like to see responsible moderation of the comments section as there are some particularly unpleasant individuals regularly threatening each other and accusing each other of having small willies across a variety of topics. Which is both irritating and pathetic.
North Wales Live
I use it every day. I moved here 3 years ago but was spending more time in Manchester so for its giving me reports on my area and factual
Rubbish
The change to f north wales news is rubbish
Taken away
I used to enjoy going to the specific towns now I struggle with finding the news I enjoy so will not be using it as often.
Police force north wales
Doing a wonderful job. Please bring our towns of wales back too how they should be may the angels watch over you
Padlocks
Why suddenly do some articles have padlocks on them and when you click on them the app closes!
Failing to refresh
Used to be a good app but seems to be getting worse! I’ve got latest iOS on my device & latest update for the app but it still doesn’t update itself to the latest news! The only way to get today’s news is to go in & out of the app several times (clearing the open one each time) & tbh it’s easier not to bother! C’mon Daily Post sort your app out!
Keeping up to date.
I am from Wrexham but have lived in Scotland for 30 years. It’s great to have the chance to keep up to date with what us happening in North Wales, particularly the Wrexham area.
Why can’t you scroll between articles now
Why is it with all trinity mirror apps you can no longer scroll between apps. Can this be fixed for iPad and iphone
Great
Good information up to date Thanks
New look, but still hopeless
Brand new look which is very smart, but the content is still severely lacking. Why have a ‘click here to view content” button if you then get “this browser is not supported”? Also, they have ‘live updates” on a breaking story which, if it does get updated doesn’t have a time stamp, so you have no idea if the incident is on going, or if you no longer need to avoid the area. Today (Oct 2023) I found an article in the what’s on section describing the new Castle jail in the I’m a Celebrity camp. In Abergele. In 2021. Gosh! Such new news! It has its uses, but don’t expect much. Caveat emptor.
Information live
Keeps me up to date with news as it happens.
Trying to remove app
Leaving today as the app is no better fails to load comments time and time again. I’ve tried but it’s beaten me.
