Description

5 cents is a fast, private expense tracker for your iPhone. Record what you spend in seconds — and let your phone do the typing when you want it to. Everything stays on your device: no account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking.

Capture a transaction the way that suits the moment

Type it — a clean, quick manual entry with amount, note, category, and date.

From a bank SMS — forward your bank's transaction text through a Shortcuts automation you set up once (the app walks you through it), and 5 cents reads the amount and merchant into a draft for you to confirm.

From an email receipt — the same idea for bank and receipt emails: the app trims the message down to the key line and drafts the entry.

From Apple Pay / Wallet — a Shortcuts personal automation can hand each Wallet transaction to the app so it's ready to log.

Recurring bills — set a rule once (rent, subscriptions) and the app fills in the entries on schedule.

Built for real spending

Multi-currency with your own base currency — foreign amounts are converted automatically using up-to-date public exchange rates, and it still works offline using the last known rate.

Stats that show where your money goes, by category and over time.

Custom categories you control.

A pending inbox so nothing auto-captured is ever lost — you review and confirm.

Private by design

Your data lives only on your iPhone, in a local database. There is no account and no cloud — the developer never sees your data.

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs.

The only time the app goes online is to fetch exchange rates, and it sends just a currency code — never your transactions, amounts, or any personal information.

Your backups, your control — the app keeps a local backup you can access in the Files app and copy wherever you like. Restore from your own file anytime.

Simple to use, honest about your data. 5 Cents.
